- The Mustang is getting a FULL redesign from Ford and with that being said there is no confirmation that there will be a GT500. This 2022 GT500 features the new retuirn of Grabber Blue and the Carbon Fiber Track Pack. Under the hood is a 5.2L supercharged V8 that pumps 760HP & is mated to a --speed DCT. Is a NEW 2022 Shelby GT500 the last ultimate Ford muscle car to BUY?

Beautiful car, joe! I agree that everything gloss black, including side mirror caps, should have been carbon fiber. 18k is a lot of money to cheap out on something like that.

Thanks for confirming I made the right decision if I had any doubts....NOPE...no doubts! Once I saw it in the show room and then hit the road for home there was no looking back, except for cops! I love the front fascia of all the Shelby Mustangs, even dating back to 07. I like how the grille looks like you’re staring a cobra directly in the face. I guess you are in a way.
I agree, the front fascia does look cool. Unfortunately, the rest of the car is just “meh”. Good to hear a new refresh is coming. Hoping it won’t be a full EV, because those are gonna suck in the smiles per mile category.

What an amazing car. I can only imagine what it feels like to hug those corners and floor it on the straights.
This is a very heavy vehicle, more than 4 ton of weight, its fast n a straight line until it finds a corner and its not able to take it fast due to excesive added weight.

Any chance you can review the 2022 VW Arteon? Whichever trim level? I think the SEL R Line is the most common 2022 model right now at dealers, the SEL Premium R line and S R Line are hard to come across.

This is the last production GT500 .No 2023 sorry. Get ‘em why they are hot. Snooze you looze as they say. They will stop building in Oct. maybe hit 2600 units that’s a big maybe folks. I think the carbon track pack and painted stripes are done for 2022. No more . Big ADM’s on these limited track pack cars. Most dealers can’t even order one. Thanks for the video Joe. I remember your first Video when you compared a GT 500 to a C8 Z51. You said the GT500 had way more visceral experience then the C8 Z51. I agree since I’ve owned both. The GT500 is raw baby. Cheers.

The Gt350 was. Last all naturally aspirated with a glory manual gear box.
MSRP is $102 but how much over sticker is that dealer charging? Can't find a dealer within 500 miles of me that isn't charging at least 20% over sticker on even the base model.
That heritage edition gt350 was pretty sweet.

One thing I noticed they changed the tailight turn signals it doesn't do the 123 transition its just a regular signal like other cars... Beautiful car tho love the review!
Thats only for the hazard lights. The directional blinker is sequential.

Outstanding video 👍. You are at your best when you’re reviewing a Shelby Mustang. Not a huge fan of grabber blue. Prefer velocity blue, performance blue, lightning blue or atlas blue. 2022 is the last year for the s550 GT500. Hard to say what Ford will do with the s650 platform. Awesome review Joe! I love this Gt500 and love this color. Man is it really sad to think about the gt500 coming to an end, I think they should atleast keep the V8 around for this car and maybe the rest of mustangs become electric?? Sad times , time to buy!

Great car. But not for 102,000. Not even close to that price. This car shouldn’t be more than 50k. Geezus Christ the prices today. I bought a new Pontiac GTO when GM reintroduced them in 2004-2006 for 25k!!! And the interior and seats were nice AND you could actually put two regular sized people in the backseat. SMH 🤦🏻

I miss the whistle sound of the supercharger in a car, I want it to sing to me when I listen, cousin of mine had a supercharged Viper. You could hear the whistle from it, sounded so eargasmic.

Yes! It’s the ultimate! I’ve only owned high end European sports cars and this is an incredible driving experience for $100K
I'd go carbon fiber roof (if Ford offered it), Joe. Tie in the whole carbon fiber package nicely, and break up the blue a bit.
