I am an old SW fan and just played Supremacy for the immersion. It is often steamrollers v mass quitters. The new goal seems to be have all the heroes spam abilities on the opponent spawn point. Not fun anymore.
This game was my obsession. I played it every single day for hours. I made friends on there, even made friends with enemies by emoting and jumping with them. But now every lobby I go into, there are sweaty try-hards who teabag and emote you.
Honestly it's not much better over a year later. It's full of max level sweats who dunk on low levels (like myself) and start teabagging. The matchmaking consistently pairs me with fellow low levels so my team average will be lvl ~30 against 500+.
Yo! You summed it up perfectly. I still play however not as much as I used to It’s definitely harder to get good decent gaming clips. Good game still. The issue is more the players. Matchmaking is a broken system which has forced a lot of gamers to play in squads or 4 stacks to avoid the BS of playing with unskilled or toxic players.
Whats sad is no one is nice to the new players so they dont even wanna keep playing. Helping the somewhat new players is what keeps the game going and bf2 has definitely lost that feeling

i totally agree, as a "new player" i often try to improve myself on hero showdown trying to get 1v1s but half of the time i’m against max level shooters getting into the 1v1, that sucks there should be a mode with only lightsabers
Bro me too, I have to sit there with a Level 41 Obi-Wan Kenobi and have to go battle a level 473 Princess Leia or go face off a to lightsaber characters or and 2 blaster character or get deleted by by a full squad of level 95+ lightsaber characters
I mean as a blaster main I wish there was a blaster hero only mode as well, can’t tell you how many times a Luke mashing RT kills me no matter what I do.
All I experience in HvV is: - 4v1 exclusive wolfpacks - Light/Dark Side exclusively good sweats - "Every" kill T-bagging - Players that specifically target you the whole match - Fake Low Levels (sweats on alt account) - Being put in a squad of low levels against fragile ego 200+ players - Abilities and block not working at the worst times - etc... (other dumb shit)
Yup Although I do feel a certain sense of pride when I'm on a team with low levels against a team that's half prestige and half somewhere in the middle and as soon as we get a few kills in, the lower levels on their team immediately switch to their level 800 Vader and/or Palpatine.

Having BB-9E or BB-8 in a swarm is infuriating to play against. I just recently came back to the game seeing this new HvV meta is toxic as hell. Especially with the taunting that follows when they gang rape you
I'm a high level player, and everytime a high level player defeats me, they emote, to a point that when I defeat them, I emote too, just to make them taste their own medicine, this game makes me toxic, it's contagious.
@@arcbran7650 Teabagging isn't toxic either but that's a different conversation. Emotes are built into the game, they are literally playing the game the way it was intended and people are crying about it. If you actually think that is toxic behaviour you need to grow up.
Maybe, but competition in a vacuum makes it difficult to establish relationships with other players. When you're in said environment for so long, it's difficult to see beyond. For example, I played a streak of HVV and in the first game of that streak I landed in a random group of good players. One set up group chat just to connect with each other. In the next 4-5 matches we were all split up every which way, but because we had connected we all had fun. No toxicity, no disrespectful playing, no hateful messages. Just pushing each other and congratulating good plays.

I think the reason that these “toxic” videos are trending is because a lot of the games community doesn’t like the toxic players, and enjoy seeing them beaten by the youtuber making the video
And that is because the game has become so toxic today, that most enjoyment we have with this game nowadays is seeing toxic players get beaten down. Before the updates ended, barely anyone cared about that.
Well said Star! I started playing this game last year, and yes they are some people in the community that can put you down, but for me, I keep playing this game just because it’s Star Wars and I love everything about Star Wars and this game.
In 1 v 1's, they're not as good as they think. They all use the same tactics and are pathetically predictable. If you can anticipate their attacks, bait their force abilities and keep mental note of their cooldowns, they're not "too good" at all, unless they're Vader.

Bro, I play this on Xbox, and I haven't noticed any toxicity at all. I am constantly getting destroyed by high level players, and they just go about their business after they kill me. If they notice me getting a lot of kills, then they usually change up their strategy to try and kill me without much risk. Every time I die, I always assume that it's just because I wasn't being smart. Most players are pretty respectful from what I've seen, (although that could just be because there is no vc). And lemme tell you, I am an annoying person to fight against. I will usually try and take you out from a distance, no matter what blaster or character I'm using, and I always run if I take a hit since I dont want to die. If I ever do fight up close, it's always with someone for support. (Unless I'm using a reinforcement). I will usually mentally congratulate the person that killed me for exploiting my lack of planning ahead. But yea, I don't really see any toxicity on Xbox BF2
More often than not, when I do decide to open up the game just for some laughs and giggles, I end up feeling worse than what I did to begin with. I remember being excited every time I open the game, but now… Like gosh, it takes forever to find people that aren’t my irl friends that will be respectful. Every once in a while, I’ll find the respectful player and I thank the matchmaking gods for blessing me with them and I have a great time with that, but that’s every once in a while. If I try to look for any HvV, there’s toxicity and I end up leaving for my mental health’s sake.
This. I have realised the same thing whilst playing the game too. The toxicity reduces your enjoyment a lot. You can't even focus on just having fun on your own. You also end up getting annoyed and biting back or wanting to respond.

Nah, there are many nice and respectful players on battlefront and the toxicity is nowhere near how toxic other comunities are like dbd, i stopped playing dbd cause in almost every match there was toxic ppl either on game or chat, some are really nasty in that game and in l4d2 there are only 2 servers were ppl is nice in the rest they either stack on 1 team or kick any player for the smallest mistake

Just bought the game 3 days ago. Starting out as a level 1 against everybody with maxed level cards, i couldnt win 90% of my battles. I got bagged by tons of max or high levels and once I got pretty much spawn killed as bossk and my team was calling me trash and I got bagged by a couple people. I'm sorry that I didnt play at launch like all of those jerks but jeeze do they really want new players to leave so badly?
Yes I hate the star card system. So unbalanced. Even if you're an experienced player, but have characters or units you want to play as but those are low level, you're going to get destroyed.
You said this so well, I used to be a causal player who watched your videos everyday to learn the tips and tricks and honestly the reason I quit playing is exactly like you said, how many casual players stopped playing, it just made the game so much less fun, honestly though this video has inspired me to get back on for the first time in months

So imagine how toxic it can be for a beginner. If you are a beginner and your team lose, they say it is because of the "noobs", but honestly, the beginners are possibly the least toxic and also the ones with the most patience and positive energy. Imagine competing with level 25 and facing a toxic with 470 killing you every minute. I'm a beginner but fortunately I focus more on fun and on Starfighter which I see as more balanced and I'm not bad at all, I usually finish in the top 3-5.

I haven't played this game since last December when my brother left for the military in Georgia I've been really missing it but I don't have Xbox Live and I've been just so busy with school and work been wanting to get back on I know a lot of people don't play it but I've always loved the gameplay

Same here. I took a break from Battlefront but came in March of this year. I was having so much fun, but all of a sudden there was switch that completely drained the fun out Battlefront. I still play it from time to time tho.
I just started playing yesterday, and yeah, the max level guys are annoying, and I almost never get to play the heros because some sweat has been the hero the whole game, but all in all, I'm having a good time. It's not like I'm gonna want them to not use the star cards to make it fair, I gotta do the grind to get em, and then the cycle will continue
I'm getting my little brother into the game and am teaching him to duel, with the help of your vids of course and we take it into actual games and it feels like looking for a unicorn when we find people who are interested in dueling

It’s unfortunate that bf2 has become toxic. Back when I used to play, my opponents especially on Hero Showdown were quite respectful and actually helped me when I was having trouble with lightsaber dueling.
Wow, REALLY? I've NEVER experienced that. I had to battle my way to max levels through hordes of toxic losers. It's worse now than ever before. When I've played with toxic POS, I'd usually stand around and watch them gang up on my opponents rather than join in the uselessness.

I went from really enjoying HvV only a few months ago to now, every time I try to play, I end up logging off pissed AF after only a round or so because of the toxicity. My favorite are the ones who are maxed out, travel in a pack like hyenas, and move from launch point to launch point so that every duel is 4 players to 1; and you obviously gelt melted in seconds. I feel the same way, I genuinely can't have a good time playing this game anymore. It's filled with toxicity in HvV with T-bagging and emoting in LITERALLY every match. Like I try to just ignore it but it still gets to me. I'd even get messages sometimes from people in the lobby, talking down and making fun of me. And even sometimes during a match they'll play with you during a duel. Also when my team is like scattered around the map, I'd get in a 1v4 or 1v3 and die then get T-bagged or emoted by the person or more who didn't even kill me lmao...I'm really on the edge of just not playing Battlefront II anymore and moving on lol.
Unpopular opinion...I like the infantry based modes like galactic assault and supremacy more than HvsV, I feel like this rant is more directed towards the HvsV mode other than the rest of the game
When it’s live service had ended I just lost interest in playing anymore knowing that no matter how many hours I played, it didn’t matter because their was nothing to work towards that I didn’t already purchase with the millions I credits I had that never dwindled. Along with that the game is very unforgiving with the matchmaking as you stated… it’s either an absolute win, or a detrimental loss rarely ever having a good balance that leads to a good game. It’s just not a fun game to play anymore because it fails to deliver you a good experience that encourages you to keep playing. It hurts to say that, but I am trying to be as honest as I can with a game that used to be fun to me.
indeed. When the Developers left there was definitely a shift in the Force. So many glitches and bugs in the game that may never be updated. I try to play for fun and take breaks from gaming as soon as I start raging or getting upset. ✌🏾
I hear you but I still get epic supremacy games, especially on Friday's. Up to each other's ship etc. Not knocking clans at all but I do think it's problematic when you have elite clans on supremacy, usually is a walkover
I've definitely noticed that as well. I pray every game that it will be a close call. Something like 3-0 with the life's at the end. But most likely, it puts me in mid Match, my team 5 lives, enemy team 32....
The thing is they should never have stopped support. Over quarantine the game was getting a lot of attention and was pretty mainstream and then they just cut off support out of the blue. It still has so much potential. All those hours put in were for nothing.

This video has complete facts. I love bf2 but most games I play are full of either tryhard or toxic players or even both which makes it hard to play casually but there's still cool people who play and it's a interesting experience to say the least.
What sucks is that this game could have been so good. Unfortunately EA decided to turn it into a money vacuum, got a bunch of backlash, and pretty much abandoned it when they realized it wouldn’t be profitable. Sure, they added characters and updates over a couple of years, but it always seemed more like damage control to me than something they genuinely wanted to do. It all feels pretty soulless sometimes, like they tried to shoehorn personality into something that was meant to just take your money. It still feels like it’s a shell of one thing with the innards of another. Also, co-op. I enjoy co-op very much, but sometimes it feels like there could have been a better way to ramp the difficulty up than “Fuck it, just swarm them with AI.” It feels very inconsistent
Yeah, that won't be coming. EA was already making minimal money from Battlefront 2 and kind of allowed DICE to do whatever they wanted with the game until they needed them for Battlefield which will most likely overshadow Battlefront 2
I am a causal bf2 player, and will only play with a friend, but I hate most hero modes, either new guys or day one sweats, ESPECIALLY with ganking in hvv
i’ve started playing battlefront 2015 again and i’m actually having a lot of fun on walker assault and the old dlc modes such as outer rim and bespin there’s still somewhat of a strong community on ps4 and it’s a breath of fresh air after playing battlefront 2 for so long

Yeha i agree a lot. The toxicity in battlefront has been bugging me for so long. I always try to be a respectful guy, but it's annoying when almost everyone else isn't. Plus, the lag is really bad for me that I am just taking a break from the game, because it isn't even close to worth it right now. I just wish people were better about winning and losing
The amount of high level squads that camp out with blaster heroes vs mostly low level randoms is ridiculous. A 1 v 1 mode would have been perfect in this game.
I just recently got this game about a week ago during the halloween sale, and was excited to play it. But I was nervous about jumping in online, so I've stuck with offline for now. Beat the campaign on the highest available difficulty, and trying to grind through all the battle scenarios in arcade mode. Just to get a feel for the game. Now I'm nervous about playing online if there's really that much toxicity.
1000% agree with you. Me and my friends try so hard to enjoy this game, but we come out of it angry and let down because we got our butts kicked every match. We don't want to go 35 and 0 with the enemy,but I would love every fight to be even. Seeing 2 or more max levels when my highest character is peaking 200 and my friends highest being 60 makes us want to just leave the game.
And on a Battlefront 3, I'm sadly not looking forward to it anymore,and it's not all due to the companies handling,but mostly the community. Why play the next game if the player base is going to be so toxic the bad encounters happen more than the good?
I literally only got back on just so I can get platinum on playstation (some of these trophies were hard and annoying asf to get), then I just deleted and dipped. I was played against the AI, screw PvP.

I've just started playing and it's toxic as hell. I'm being ganged up on by the entire team. Toxic high level players that just emote or teabag me after they kill me. My highest level character is Obi-Wan which is level 17 and me a low level just keeps going against people that are higher than 500. I literally just got done from a match that had 4 people which were all level 400+ just ganging up on everybody. I really like Star Wars BattleFront but the amount of toxicity I run in to is just stupid. The only fun experience I've had was just watching my team and their team fighting. All we were doing was just standing on the top level of naboo just watching.
The thing that really revitalised the game for me was tournaments. Some content creators in the community are hosting their own tournaments with prizes an all. Honestly it's super fun and if you are bored of the monotony of hero showdown you should try it
I just started playing and I really like it. I have noticed a lot of the hero v villian matches tend to be groups of really high level players massacring a bunch of low levels. However it doesn’t take too long to find a relatively balanced match. I actually found the game through channels like this so I think if you keep making videos then more people will eventually start or restart playing.

I quit battlefront a few months back for very similiar reason, my friends and i would love duels and enjoy improving however the community couldn't quite live up to what it was like before. Even though no more updates was sad and bad for the game, that wasn't really the problem; it was just the matches and how they ended up going; too low level, toxic or sometimes (especially in showdown) not enough players to even enjoy the game. i really did have a passion like you said but it just faded as the player base did too.
Perfectly put it sometimes takes me hours to get in 1 good game now because of matchmaking putting me with low levels, and also there is toxic players everywhere. I am glad you made this video bro its straight facts, and glad to know I am not the only one thinking this. But amazing video, and keep up the great work.
@@james_8583 exactly. every skill based matchmaking scheme gets gamed within days of implementation and the game is worse for it. Have to either ban parties and/or make match making random.
me and my friends have recently gotten into the game again. just downloaded bad batch themed mods and am focusing much more on those mods and the friends i am playing with rather than the people i am playing against.

I can definitely tell that you love this game and played it hardcore just like us. Its sucks that you're not a game-changer. I got it on launch on PS4, I now tried to buy it on steam since I don’t have the Ps plus anymore. New account, the game sucks. All tryhardare level max who just steamroll you. Hey Star great input on what your trying to say for this game, I’m very new to this community I started playing a few weeks ago with my buddy playing duels and watched all of your tips and tricks videos and have progressed so much and shown improvement, also I feel like most people that are into the game are into Star Wars itself as an interest as I have myself as of lately. I also have noticed how toxic this game can really be but at the end of the day it’s EA there’s really no custom games and creative things we’ll be able to do.
I can definitely see this. One thing I think that would definitely give me a lot more playability would have been to allow the character mods for console. Something like how fallout allowed mods on console. I would have loved to play as darth Malak instead of Vader or many others

It boggles the mind how far the game fell in terms of enjoyment and sportsmanship, when we have so many bad apples in the community. Wish we could go back to the days of the clone wars updates.

But then you’ll see the same maps come up time and time again, you’ll go into ewok hunt and hope and pray for people to come, you’ll go into starfighter and realise no one plays it, you’ll go into HvV and immediately leave due to someone teabagging you, you’ll do the same scenarios over and over on galactic assault
Ever since PlayStation released BF2 on Plus, I haven't stopped playing. I play every day! In the last few months I've noticed that there are more toxic players than before and that makes the gaming experience awful. Amazingly I've been playing BF2 offline and I'm having more fun than online. It's not the same thing, because the game's AI isn't one of the best, but I can avoid toxic players, squads and players that don't play the objective (they more disturb than help). If BF3 is developed by EA I'm sure nothing will change, it will just end BF2 and transport toxic players to BF3.
had this game for over a year and a half i've been really demotivated to play because of the matchmaking i'm always matchmaked with the level ones and my opponets are all level 600's to max's and we get steamrolled every time .

This video may be a year old, but you definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. As a filthy casual myself, I don't care to get as good as you level 300. I don't. I really fucking don't. I want to come on, play a few matches, then go back and finish whatever chores I got to do because I ain't got time to be sitting here all day upgrade and every single fucking star card. Now I understand you want to be respectful don't want to poke at the beer. I have no problem doing so. I'm just going to sit straight up say that some of you level 300 need to go outside and touch some grass, remind yourself what color the grass is, go see the Sun, and while you're at it go pick up some vitamin d so you do burn up. I'm sorry some of you guys have absolutely no life outside of this game. But some of us do. So some of us don't give a fuck about becoming pros at a game we can only play for 2 to 3 hours a few days out of the week if even that. This game was my last bastion of Hope for multiplayer. Besides this game I had completely given up on multiplayer game you know together. Now, now that's it. I did no such thing as multiplayer gaming from me anymore. There's not a goddamn multiplayer game out there that isn't filled with fucking toxic people at a high level that are not even worth fighting against. There's no challenge only bullshit. There's no fun, only frustration. From now on its single-player games only for me. There's no such thing as a game for casual players anymore. They don't exist. There are games for the sweats, the streamers, the hardcore families, and that's pretty much it. If you're a casual player, enjoy your few months playing whatever multiplayer game you're playing then eventually accept the fact you have to go to say goodbye for good. Because these fucking level 300 sweats will not let you play a single fucking match without you dying as soon as you spawn. And once again, there are thousands of fucking games out there to play in that are waiting for me to give him the time of day. The guy's been waiting forever to give the time of day. I'm not wasting that time on this game a single minute further. So the next time you motherfukers think about saying get good, how about you get some fucking sunlight.
I thought I was the only one thinking this.. 100% agree, few days ago I was in Showdown for probably 2 hours looking for a respectful 1v1 game and I repeatedly got 2v1’d with my teammate always being a brand spanking new level 1 running around exploring the map as I get jumped. I literally threw my controller and got off for a couple days, and I NEVER throw my controllers.

The game is a lot of fun on its own, and watching your tips videos really helped me to get into the swing of things a little bit easier. I know I'm a few steps behind everyone else, but I'm hoping once I've played long enough to get the star cards to be even with everyone else, then my skills can grow to match as well.
Great video. I’ve been a Battlefront I (2015) player for years and that version has been completely destroyed by toxicity, modders and just an outright onslaught of dickish players. It’s honestly as shame because those of us die hard left that play that game 1) Still love it and 2) have become genuine friends over the years but find it difficult to play through the toxicity involved now. All of us know the players that ruin these games it’s just to bad that it can’t/won’t be stopped.

Question! I play bf a lot and I am trying to get better. And I have to agree, this community is toxic, but I am fine with it. But my question is: I noticed a lot of „low levelers“ in the last few days but they play so good. They can’t be just level 4 or 10… how can that be ?
When I play BF2 anymore it’s never HvV, it’s only GA and most of the time that’s only on Mondays (fast respawn event) and even then it can be tough sometimes to find good games

I am an old SW fan and just played Supremacy for the immersion. It is often steamrollers v mass quitters. The new goal seems to be have all the heroes spam abilities on the opponent spawn point. Not fun anymore.
This game was my obsession. I played it every single day for hours. I made friends on there, even made friends with enemies by emoting and jumping with them. But now every lobby I go into, there are sweaty try-hards who teabag and emote you.
Honestly it's not much better over a year later. It's full of max level sweats who dunk on low levels (like myself) and start teabagging. The matchmaking consistently pairs me with fellow low levels so my team average will be lvl ~30 against 500+.
Yo! You summed it up perfectly. I still play however not as much as I used to It’s definitely harder to get good decent gaming clips. Good game still. The issue is more the players. Matchmaking is a broken system which has forced a lot of gamers to play in squads or 4 stacks to avoid the BS of playing with unskilled or toxic players.
Whats sad is no one is nice to the new players so they dont even wanna keep playing. Helping the somewhat new players is what keeps the game going and bf2 has definitely lost that feeling

All I experience in HvV is:
- 4v1 exclusive wolfpacks
- Light/Dark Side exclusively good sweats
- "Every" kill T-bagging
- Players that specifically target you the whole match
- Fake Low Levels (sweats on alt account)
- Being put in a squad of low levels against fragile ego 200+ players
- Abilities and block not working at the worst times
- etc... (other dumb shit)

Maybe, but competition in a vacuum makes it difficult to establish relationships with other players. When you're in said environment for so long, it's difficult to see beyond.
For example, I played a streak of HVV and in the first game of that streak I landed in a random group of good players. One set up group chat just to connect with each other. In the next 4-5 matches we were all split up every which way, but because we had connected we all had fun. No toxicity, no disrespectful playing, no hateful messages. Just pushing each other and congratulating good plays.

This game promotes toxicity. The way the game respawns, player health and abilities being unbalanced. It's a toxic dream.
I left it when the only people left are “too good” to have fun with.
In 1 v 1's, they're not as good as they think. They all use the same tactics and are pathetically predictable. If you can anticipate their attacks, bait their force abilities and keep mental note of their cooldowns, they're not "too good" at all, unless they're Vader.

Bro, I play this on Xbox, and I haven't noticed any toxicity at all. I am constantly getting destroyed by high level players, and they just go about their business after they kill me. If they notice me getting a lot of kills, then they usually change up their strategy to try and kill me without much risk. Every time I die, I always assume that it's just because I wasn't being smart. Most players are pretty respectful from what I've seen, (although that could just be because there is no vc). And lemme tell you, I am an annoying person to fight against. I will usually try and take you out from a distance, no matter what blaster or character I'm using, and I always run if I take a hit since I dont want to die. If I ever do fight up close, it's always with someone for support. (Unless I'm using a reinforcement). I will usually mentally congratulate the person that killed me for exploiting my lack of planning ahead. But yea, I don't really see any toxicity on Xbox BF2
More often than not, when I do decide to open up the game just for some laughs and giggles, I end up feeling worse than what I did to begin with. I remember being excited every time I open the game, but now… Like gosh, it takes forever to find people that aren’t my irl friends that will be respectful. Every once in a while, I’ll find the respectful player and I thank the matchmaking gods for blessing me with them and I have a great time with that, but that’s every once in a while. If I try to look for any HvV, there’s toxicity and I end up leaving for my mental health’s sake.
This. I have realised the same thing whilst playing the game too. The toxicity reduces your enjoyment a lot. You can't even focus on just having fun on your own. You also end up getting annoyed and biting back or wanting to respond.

Just bought the game 3 days ago. Starting out as a level 1 against everybody with maxed level cards, i couldnt win 90% of my battles. I got bagged by tons of max or high levels and once I got pretty much spawn killed as bossk and my team was calling me trash and I got bagged by a couple people. I'm sorry that I didnt play at launch like all of those jerks but jeeze do they really want new players to leave so badly?
Yes I hate the star card system. So unbalanced. Even if you're an experienced player, but have characters or units you want to play as but those are low level, you're going to get destroyed.

So imagine how toxic it can be for a beginner. If you are a beginner and your team lose, they say it is because of the "noobs", but honestly, the beginners are possibly the least toxic and also the ones with the most patience and positive energy. Imagine competing with level 25 and facing a toxic with 470 killing you every minute.
I'm a beginner but fortunately I focus more on fun and on Starfighter which I see as more balanced and I'm not bad at all, I usually finish in the top 3-5.

I went from really enjoying HvV only a few months ago to now, every time I try to play, I end up logging off pissed AF after only a round or so because of the toxicity. My favorite are the ones who are maxed out, travel in a pack like hyenas, and move from launch point to launch point so that every duel is 4 players to 1; and you obviously gelt melted in seconds. I feel the same way, I genuinely can't have a good time playing this game anymore. It's filled with toxicity in HvV with T-bagging and emoting in LITERALLY every match. Like I try to just ignore it but it still gets to me. I'd even get messages sometimes from people in the lobby, talking down and making fun of me. And even sometimes during a match they'll play with you during a duel. Also when my team is like scattered around the map, I'd get in a 1v4 or 1v3 and die then get T-bagged or emoted by the person or more who didn't even kill me lmao...I'm really on the edge of just not playing Battlefront II anymore and moving on lol.
Unpopular opinion...I like the infantry based modes like galactic assault and supremacy more than HvsV, I feel like this rant is more directed towards the HvsV mode other than the rest of the game

When it’s live service had ended I just lost interest in playing anymore knowing that no matter how many hours I played, it didn’t matter because their was nothing to work towards that I didn’t already purchase with the millions I credits I had that never dwindled.
Along with that the game is very unforgiving with the matchmaking as you stated… it’s either an absolute win, or a detrimental loss rarely ever having a good balance that leads to a good game.
It’s just not a fun game to play anymore because it fails to deliver you a good experience that encourages you to keep playing. It hurts to say that, but I am trying to be as honest as I can with a game that used to be fun to me.

The thing is they should never have stopped support. Over quarantine the game was getting a lot of attention and was pretty mainstream and then they just cut off support out of the blue. It still has so much potential. All those hours put in were for nothing.

What sucks is that this game could have been so good. Unfortunately EA decided to turn it into a money vacuum, got a bunch of backlash, and pretty much abandoned it when they realized it wouldn’t be profitable.
Sure, they added characters and updates over a couple of years, but it always seemed more like damage control to me than something they genuinely wanted to do.
It all feels pretty soulless sometimes, like they tried to shoehorn personality into something that was meant to just take your money. It still feels like it’s a shell of one thing with the innards of another.
Also, co-op. I enjoy co-op very much, but sometimes it feels like there could have been a better way to ramp the difficulty up than “Fuck it, just swarm them with AI.” It feels very inconsistent

i’ve started playing battlefront 2015 again and i’m actually having a lot of fun on walker assault and the old dlc modes such as outer rim and bespin there’s still somewhat of a strong community on ps4 and it’s a breath of fresh air after playing battlefront 2 for so long

Yeha i agree a lot. The toxicity in battlefront has been bugging me for so long. I always try to be a respectful guy, but it's annoying when almost everyone else isn't. Plus, the lag is really bad for me that I am just taking a break from the game, because it isn't even close to worth it right now. I just wish people were better about winning and losing

The amount of high level squads that camp out with blaster heroes vs mostly low level randoms is ridiculous. A 1 v 1 mode would have been perfect in this game.
I just recently got this game about a week ago during the halloween sale, and was excited to play it. But I was nervous about jumping in online, so I've stuck with offline for now. Beat the campaign on the highest available difficulty, and trying to grind through all the battle scenarios in arcade mode. Just to get a feel for the game. Now I'm nervous about playing online if there's really that much toxicity.

1000% agree with you. Me and my friends try so hard to enjoy this game, but we come out of it angry and let down because we got our butts kicked every match. We don't want to go 35 and 0 with the enemy,but I would love every fight to be even. Seeing 2 or more max levels when my highest character is peaking 200 and my friends highest being 60 makes us want to just leave the game.
And on a Battlefront 3, I'm sadly not looking forward to it anymore,and it's not all due to the companies handling,but mostly the community. Why play the next game if the player base is going to be so toxic the bad encounters happen more than the good?
Not to mention the people on the dark side have more HP faster recovery faster recharge better attributes better abilities it's not balanced at all

Toxic high level players that just emote or teabag me after they kill me. My highest level character is Obi-Wan which is level 17 and me a low level just keeps going against people that are higher than 500.

I really like Star Wars BattleFront but the amount of toxicity I run in to is just stupid.
The only fun experience I've had was just watching my team and their team fighting. All we were doing was just standing on the top level of naboo just watching.

The thing that really revitalised the game for me was tournaments. Some content creators in the community are hosting their own tournaments with prizes an all. Honestly it's super fun and if you are bored of the monotony of hero showdown you should try it

I just started playing and I really like it. I have noticed a lot of the hero v villian matches tend to be groups of really high level players massacring a bunch of low levels. However it doesn’t take too long to find a relatively balanced match. I actually found the game through channels like this so I think if you keep making videos then more people will eventually start or restart playing.

I quit battlefront a few months back for very similiar reason, my friends and i would love duels and enjoy improving however the community couldn't quite live up to what it was like before. Even though no more updates was sad and bad for the game, that wasn't really the problem; it was just the matches and how they ended up going; too low level, toxic or sometimes (especially in showdown) not enough players to even enjoy the game. i really did have a passion like you said but it just faded as the player base did too.
Perfectly put it sometimes takes me hours to get in 1 good game now because of matchmaking putting me with low levels, and also there is toxic players everywhere. I am glad you made this video bro its straight facts, and glad to know I am not the only one thinking this. But amazing video, and keep up the great work.
The first thing on the list for battlefront 3 should be skill based matchmaking.

@@james_8583 exactly. every skill based matchmaking scheme gets gamed within days of implementation and the game is worse for it. Have to either ban parties and/or make match making random.

me and my friends have recently gotten into the game again. just downloaded bad batch themed mods and am focusing much more on those mods and the friends i am playing with rather than the people i am playing against.
So true man! I was playing this game since 2017. Every time I sit down to play Battlefront 2, I just stand up feeling frustrated. Can't go a day without hate messages. I can definitely tell that you love this game and played it hardcore just like us. Its sucks that you're not a game-changer. You actually play this game a lot unlike other channels so you could give much better feedback to DICE. Other channels are just milking it without actually playing it and they're the game changers? SMH. Much respect man! I remember the same thing happened when I went back to BF 2015. Just toxicity all over the place.
I got it on launch on PS4, I now tried to buy it on steam since I don’t have the Ps plus anymore. New account, the game sucks. All tryhardare level max who just steamroll you. I am not a “new” player, but I never played the game on mouse and keyboard so kind of new player. On console already it was difficult, but I was good so it was fun. Here I just had to quit. It’s bad
Hey Star great input on what your trying to say for this game, I’m very new to this community I started playing a few weeks ago with my buddy playing duels and watched all of your tips and tricks videos and have progressed so much and shown improvement, also I feel like most people that are into the game are into Star Wars itself as an interest as I have myself as of lately. I also have noticed how toxic this game can really be but at the end of the day it’s EA there’s really no custom games and creative things we’ll be able to do.
More fun to this series would be a great factor
I can definitely see this. One thing I think that would definitely give me a lot more playability would have been to allow the character mods for console. Something like how fallout allowed mods on console. I would have loved to play as darth Malak instead of Vader or many others
I've seen too many toxic players. For example, I sometimes message them "bro why u being toxic?" and they something like "mad cuz bad"
I’m sorry that’s been your experience. My biggest frustrations have mostly been down to bugs. I only really play Capital Supremacy though, so maybe I’ve just avoided the more toxic elements. Usually the better players deserve to be at the top - don’t usually run into obnoxious players.

Hit the nail on the head with this one, man. Pretty much why I stopped playing the game myself, aside from other reasons. It boggles the mind how far the game fell in terms of enjoyment and sportsmanship, when we have so many bad apples in the community. Wish we could go back to the days of the clone wars updates.

But then you’ll see the same maps come up time and time again, you’ll go into ewok hunt and hope and pray for people to come, you’ll go into starfighter and realise no one plays it, you’ll go into HvV and immediately leave due to someone teabagging you, you’ll do the same scenarios over and over on galactic assault
Ever since PlayStation released BF2 on Plus, I haven't stopped playing. I play every day! In the last few months I've noticed that there are more toxic players than before and that makes the gaming experience awful. Amazingly I've been playing BF2 offline and I'm having more fun than online. It's not the same thing, because the game's AI isn't one of the best, but I can avoid toxic players, squads and players that don't play the objective (they more disturb than help). If BF3 is developed by EA I'm sure nothing will change, it will just end BF2 and transport toxic players to BF3.

As a filthy casual myself, I don't care to get as good as you level 300. I don't. I really fucking don't. I want to come on, play a few matches, then go back and finish whatever chores I got to do because I ain't got time to be sitting here all day upgrade and every single fucking star card.
Now I understand you want to be respectful don't want to poke at the beer. I have no problem doing so. I'm just going to sit straight up say that some of you level 300 need to go outside and touch some grass, remind yourself what color the grass is, go see the Sun, and while you're at it go pick up some vitamin d so you do burn up.
I'm sorry some of you guys have absolutely no life outside of this game. But some of us do. So some of us don't give a fuck about becoming pros at a game we can only play for 2 to 3 hours a few days out of the week if even that.
This game was my last bastion of Hope for multiplayer. Besides this game I had completely given up on multiplayer game you know together. Now, now that's it. I did no such thing as multiplayer gaming from me anymore. There's not a goddamn multiplayer game out there that isn't filled with fucking toxic people at a high level that are not even worth fighting against.
There's no challenge only bullshit. There's no fun, only frustration. From now on its single-player games only for me. There's no such thing as a game for casual players anymore. They don't exist. There are games for the sweats, the streamers, the hardcore families, and that's pretty much it. If you're a casual player, enjoy your few months playing whatever multiplayer game you're playing then eventually accept the fact you have to go to say goodbye for good. Because these fucking level 300 sweats will not let you play a single fucking match without you dying as soon as you spawn.
And once again, there are thousands of fucking games out there to play in that are waiting for me to give him the time of day. The guy's been waiting forever to give the time of day. I'm not wasting that time on this game a single minute further. So the next time you motherfukers think about saying get good, how about you get some fucking sunlight.

I thought I was the only one thinking this.. 100% agree, few days ago I was in Showdown for probably 2 hours looking for a respectful 1v1 game and I repeatedly got 2v1’d with my teammate always being a brand spanking new level 1 running around exploring the map as I get jumped. I literally threw my controller and got off for a couple days, and I NEVER throw my controllers.
Video games aren't possible to casually play anymore, everytime I've tried playing online I encounter the sweatiest loser that spends 16 hours a day playing the game at hand

Hi bazaar. I just started playing Battlefront 2 yesterday. It's an interesting experience. The game is a lot of fun on its own, and watching your tips videos really helped me to get into the swing of things a little bit easier. I know I'm a few steps behind everyone else, but I'm hoping once I've played long enough to get the star cards to be even with everyone else, then my skills can grow to match as well.
I'm on PC and the very best player this game has. It's always fun to own these fools you talked about.

Great video. I’ve been a Battlefront I (2015) player for years and that version has been completely destroyed by toxicity, modders and just an outright onslaught of dickish players. It’s honestly as shame because those of us die hard left that play that game 1) Still love it and 2) have become genuine friends over the years but find it difficult to play through the toxicity involved now. All of us know the players that ruin these games it’s just to bad that it can’t/won’t be stopped.

Question! I play bf a lot and I am trying to get better. And I have to agree, this community is toxic, but I am fine with it. But my question is: I noticed a lot of „low levelers“ in the last few days but they play so good. They can’t be just level 4 or 10… how can that be ?
When I play BF2 anymore it’s never HvV, it’s only GA and most of the time that’s only on Mondays (fast respawn event) and even then it can be tough sometimes to find good games
