Awesome man. Nick and Craig seem like he's got you guys peaking at the right time. Looking great. I think you could add a few 10-12 seconds to your RT on some of those escapes with some mat returns that you're good at. Those come in huge at the Nationals. And I think you're missing an opportunity on that front head, but damn, that shot has come along so well. Quick, clean finishes. Doubles. And more than anything, just outworking the other guy. You're catching a leg and then just chasing the other. Also, outstanding scrambles. I can tell you don't love scrambles. I hated being out of position(which is necessary for a scramble) but your chain wrestling is great and...get the job done. I think you're ready to finish near the top of the podium this year. And 2 more years left(3 maybe...with the Covid year?)...I'm definitely seeing a NC coming around the corner.
Dude thank you so much for inspiring me I want to join my high schools wrestling team next season (in my sophomore year) any tips on how to prepare over the summer? I am already pretty fit and workout 4-5 days a week but have no wrestling experience.
Dude, you are just a totally different wrestler from last year. Your offensive arsenal has expanded greatly. Last year it seemed like your offense was mainly single leg attacks, and now its slide-bys, ankle picks, blast doubles, fireman's carries, etc. And your defense is on point. I hope you go far in nationals.
I would say that his best improvement on last year is his ability to scramble and end up in a advantageous position… Last year it seemed like once they got a good hold on your leg then they would take you down… That’s completely different this year
He just has to focus on his top game, kinda just sits behind the legs and rides out time... His offense on his feet is nasty and quick but near fall points would help a lot
It’s crazy how time flies, and there’s proof that hard work pays off. I remember when Cayden didn’t make the starting spot, and went 1-3 his first year in college wrestling. Now he’s a Super Region Champ and is ranked No.4. True 🐐
Cayden you really inspire me my start of my wrestling career started last year and I thought I was pretty good but then I got into hs and made varsity and had a pretty rough year didn't qualify for sectionals but I'm ready to come back next year as a 10th grader and continue the journey and make it to state and you've really helped keep me motivated thanks man keep up the good work
Thanks Cayden, I've been running at 6:00 AM nearly 2-4 miles each time, lifting, working harder in practice, and overall performing better due to your inspiration. I manged to take first at my regional tournament on Saturday, and am ready to wrestle sectionals. Thanks so much for posting! EDIT: Took second, state run time baby!
your takedowns are truly outstanding! If you could get a little riding time and a few backpoints here and there youll be unstoppable. Congratulations , hope you take nationals.
@@DevinciElite in college a running clock is kept through the match to keep track of the amount of time that either wrestler is in control. A "riding time" point is awarded at the end of a match if a wrestler has over one minute of total time in control.
I agree with this so much, on his feet he is always attacking but once he gets a takedown he kinda slows down, just rides behind the hip, not attacking.
This is why it’s awesome to finally have a great wrestling TH-camr. Shows the in and outs of a wrestling season, good times and bad times and it shows how consistent hard work and passion can drastically improve your skills. Awesome to watch all of last season and the see your improvement this year. So awesome! Congrats man! I’ll be pulling for you at nationals
Cayden you inspire me to push myself harder and harder in the gym and on the mat. I’m so happy about your victory and it inspires me to keep trying to be like you💪
Been following you for just about a year now and I want to congratulate and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey. Nothing has been given to you. You have fought to everything you have and this is the key to what will make you a successful individual in our society. Keep up the great work young man. You are truly an inspiration.🙌🏼🤩
Man cayden your a legend. You grew so much in wrestling, and went from losing half and half to being one of the top wrestlers around. You inspired me and I went from losing all my tournaments with a barely positive record, to winning 8-9/10 of my matches and going to states. I just really wanna thank you and let you know how great I think you are and how much u influenced me
Great job Cayden! My son and I have been following you since high school. He’s still wrestling but baseball has become his new fave. He made majors this year at age 10 (ahead of schedule.) Your talks on setting high standards and pushing yourself to achieve them have been a huge inspiration. Thank you. You are truly great!
From goin 0-2 last year to not just placing but winnin the entire thing is OD. Just shows hard work beats talent when talent stops working hard. Best of luck at nationals!
The table workers there were literally the best I’ve ever seen. Also watching you live was one of the best experiences I’ve had watching wrestling. Great tourney!
You’re an inspiration, Cayden. Didn’t even make it past divisionals this year due to a low gas tank, but after a couple weeks of thought, I’m going to be continuing wrestling in the off season and in college as I haven’t proved myself yet
You know one thing I appreciate about you is your from Wisconsin and you make a lot of videos about your college that gives a parent an idea 💡 of what the college wrestling experiences is like and I can see you bringing a lot more athletes to the School of the Future. Thank you for taking the time
The great part about the wrestling mindset of showing up and putting in the work. It goes past wrestling, goes into life. It taught me how to show up and put in work everyday at work. It’s the reason that I am a guy, with no college degree I graduated high school, joined the Marine Corps and fast forward 6 years later have a great civilian career that I am working hard in and making more than most lawyers.
Young man... I watch a lot of Freestyle and NCAA wrestling during the months of wrestling season. I was a pretty good high school wrestler 1967-71 and later a personal techniques coach for several high school wrestlers 2005-10. All that aside, I want to commend you on your Channel and your very professional and entertaining delivery of your experiences as a D-2 NCAA wrestler. I have been following your Channel for a few months now and I have come to see what a dedicated young man you are to the sport that you love. You train hard and with purpose. You relax and enjoy yourself "moderately". I have a great appreciation for your positive attitude and your amazing skill level. I will most certainly be watching the upcoming NCAA D-1 Conference Tournaments as well as the Nationals. I will also be following your journey to D-2 Nationals. Congratulations on your Super Regionals 1st Place. Good Luck to you.
Dude. Thank you for this channel. My son is 7 and has been wrestling very well the past two years. We watch your videos and he gets pumped. I learned too late that anyone can be a champion if they really try. Glad you understand this at your age. Keep getting after it
I've followed you for the last couple years. Happy for you. Props. You've showed what hard work and determination can result in. Good luck going forward
This young man is the definition of wrestler. He works hard. When he comes up short no excuses. He works to improve. Watched his content in high-school when he missed stayed and came back the next yr and became a state champion

Man seeing you do this for years and now you got one of your goals is like a friend of mine did it, I'm so happy for you man I can't wait to see what you do in 2 weeks I already know you are going to surprise everyone.
I've been watching this channel since you had less than 50/100K back in HS when you started this channel. I must say, it's well deserved Cayden! It might've even been longer than that. But nonetheless, you deserve not only all of the success on the mat, but also on these platforms for bringing more awareness/exposure to our greatest sport on the planet. And showing kids that hard work pays off. Congratulations Cayden & See You At The Top! 🥇👏 🏆
As a fellow Wisconsin wrestler I love your content and try to get better and try to get better and better as the years pass, so thank you for helping me strive to be my best self
I was showing my wrestlers your first take down in the 3 period. Beautiful execution… tracked right took your stutter step then explosive shot with impeccable finish. That’s how you follow through with a good old fashion double leg!! Congrats brother and now let’s go win a national!!!

Congrats Cayden. You passed your ABS's. In sales we call it the ABC's - Always Be Closing. In wrestling it's called Always Be Shooting (ABS). You are on your way!

Yo how do you keep track of the distance you run do you got a app for it or something?
@@ethan_fitness4150 yea probably an app
Honestly I think running distance is pointless for wrestling. Do sprints. It mimics the short explosiveness of wrestling.
@LebooseLOVER97 I mainly do it to increase my overall stamina level, I do agree though and am gonna increase it
your takedowns are truly outstanding! If you could get a little riding time and a few backpoints here and there youll be unstoppable. Congratulations , hope you take nationals.
