"The wind blows hard in December"
The western versions of the game came out in early December while the Japanese version came out in April of the same year.
I always pictured the "pouring wine in to my glass, looking back to where we were" part as the lady sitting in her living room on a cold, windy december night looking back on the good parts of her ex-relationship, pouring herself a glass of wine as she and her ex, from wherever they are, think about each other and the past.

...That implies I willingly did... Stupid Tyrant right by where you get L kept engaging me every time I died...

Does anyone know what the heavily autotuned voices say in the end of black tar.
Not sure if stated ironically because a lot of people make fun of that song, but I would genuinely love to see Luxin analyze Black Tar since it happens to fit humanity's struggle in X as well.

Is anyone else finding the thematic similarities between Uncontrollable and XBC3's World of Aionios interesting right?
I think Melancholia is even more resonant (though that could just be for Xenoblade as a whole).

I purposely equip bad weapons (lightsabers) so that I can hear the entirety of Uncontrollable in battle.

Well yes If it can be useful to you, but I'd be great to see a full commentated LP after you finished the game and researched into it.

Next time, you should put the lyrics you are discussing on screen to help separate your discussion from the subject matter.
I like the idea of plot recaps, but perhaps narrating over prerecorded footage would be better for this endeavour. I don’t know for sure, but I assume that Xenogears is divided into chapters; if so, I’d ask that you record your regular gameplay (no narration) as you play, and every 3 chapters or so going back and narrating on what you were thinking, parallels, you see to Xenoblade, and perhaps pointing out cool things you missed while playing but noticed while narrating. Whether you run with my idea or just do the recaps, can’t wait to watch!
I had this song on repeat the entirety of 2016. Easily the best selection for boss music.

Anyway, hopefully there's hope for real life humanity too, because well, you did mention the environmental crisis. It was only for like a second, but the song's interpretation in this video could be applied to real life in general in certain ways.

I hadn't heard Uncontrollable before XC2 and my jaw dropped when it started playing in the first Elma fight in Challenge Battle Mode.
What is this song, where has in been all my life, and why isn't You Will BLANK Our Names more like it?
X is an amazing game. 2 is kinda a toned down Xenoblade game (they wanted to make it more light hearted story and simplified/streamlined mechanics, I mean) but X is the opposite, turning everything up to 11. Tons of music with lyrics, amazing overworld music and the best exploration in any game, ever. It is pure exploration for the sake of exploration and it is wonderful (if you like that type of stuff. I love it)

You are REALLY missing out. This game ALONE is worth buying a Wii U for.
@@TheAbsol7448 Oh yeah, I fully agree. If you get into the lore of that game it is bountiful and the things you can discover. It is my GOAT for a reason, I love that game and will probably continue to play it until my Wii U dies, then I'll get a "new" Wii U and do it again lololol
@@Chronoflation I got the game 3 years ago, and I'm still trying to beat the main story. I haven't played in a while because I've moved, but I've recently been given a monitor. I'm excited to continue when I get myself a speaker.

Ok, so basically what I’m getting from this song is that Xenoblade X is basically Gurren Lagann
A thought when you talked about only being able to hear the beginning of the song at first - when you finally get strong enough to have extended fights against tyrants, it symbolizes being strong enough to see the same cycle happen more than once (the drifting apart and coming back together).

That's kinda the saddest part of the game. Once you hit infinite overdrive level, the main battle themes are basically non-existent. Hopefully the next game let's you use the radio with your skell flying instead of forcing on the song it uses. I enjoyed that song the first time I heard it, but it should not be used that liberally lol I basically so many songs I basically don't get to hear just because the flight and overdrive themes basically become all you ever hear by end game. That and "uh uh yeah"
I always thought of a couple that got divorced and wants to try renewing the relationship.

ok so not counting xenoblade 2
We are so getting a port on the Switch & a HD port of the 1st game as well. XB2 is selling near 2million soon & XCX 2 is in the pipe line so there will be fans that got into XB2 will wonder how did XCX2 happen without playing XCX.
So Takahashi is going to have to port XCX to the Switch since Wii U & XCX are not in stores in mass stock to fill those new fans that will come in after they had played XB2 & XCX2 (when it comes out).
XB series is Nin's Final Fantasy series after they had lost that exclusive years ago to Sony so Nin is going to want to include & continue to support XB series for years to come. So Switch is going to have all the XB collection on it because remember Switch is getting 7 year support & that is good enough time to have XB HD, XCX port, XB2/DLC story, & the XCX2 through out the Switches life👍.
That would be amazing, don't know if they'll do it though. They already ported XB1 to New 3DS and they usually don't double dip ports or remasters like that, even though they should. I'd love to see 1 in HD, or X on Switch (it'd be a bit odd without the touch screen, but I guess that's okay 🤷🏻♂️)

I could never find the lyrics of xenoblade 1 and 2 songs expect ending songs... even though my English is good for a non native speaker, I don't understand the most "religious" songs in xeno like the God slaying sword (xenoblade1) or indol theme (xenoblade 2) , anywhere I could look out for finding these out ?
