Your old Certate looks like an SW Certate. The new one you bought is the LT Certate, which is the lightweight inshore line of reel. That is why your old Certate has larger frame and spool and ball handle.
For reels around $400 or more go daiwa. Under $400, go shimano. Youll get more of a " wow" factor from the daiwa certate. Either way, youll be satisfied.
Well, the Daiwa BG is great value, for a mid class reel Shimano with the Stradic, Sheros and especially Saragosa, then Shimano has nothing worth the extra money in terms of spinners, so now the certates and saltigas are the way to go, if you have a problem with mag sealed it's Saragosa or Okuma Makaira, or a van staal from the beach. The other reels might feel or look nice, which might be worth it for you but on a technical side they're either the same or inferior, in the bug sizes the Saragosa is actually the strongest, most reliable of all currently produced Shimanos

Daiwa certate body look the same, only spool look different, the daiwa certate spool design like exist 2022. Hander knob prefer ark model 2018.

Daiwa airity reels as smooth as a Balistic MQ, go for a Certate 19 if you can have it in rebate. I find the certate much more smoother than a Luvias.
One is a certate LT, the othere the 2021 certate SW
The 2019 is a much smaller more finesse reel and significantly lighter
