shaft bushing doesnt need replacing, its more reliable then a bearing and you will soon change the bearing back to the bushing. adding a bearing below the spool bearing does nothing to increase performance, unless you enjoy wasting money then its fine for your ego.. 2020 certate lt 3000 over 1000 fish including a 15kg yellowtail king fish, never been serviced strill very smooth. shimano twinpower 6000, stella 5000, sustain 5000 and stella 14000 all needed new gears after spooling the reel (shimano warrenty is good, just weird they failed without fishing them)
Hey man I think there are pros and cons to felt vs carbontex, a felt washer likely enables quicker & earlier drag startup due to there being less resistance by the washer :D
@bwFuture107 on all my reels I use the carbontex drag washes because was looking here on TH-cam and there is a lot of people that said if u catch big fish and they take off and than the drag clicker goes off and if that happens a lot than the flet washes won't last long
@@b18c5turbogt35r ohh i see, what kinda of fishes do you catch and whats the size? I think if you are catching big fish constantly with high drag settings, then yeah carbontex makes more sense. But felt would probably be fine too for normal applications
Hello! What do you recommend between Daiwa Luvias Airty PC3000 and Daiwa Certate 2024 LT3000-CH? At the moment I am using Daiwa Luvias 2020. Or if you recommend another reel besides the ones I mentioned. Thank you!
hey bro i have no experience with the airity but I would say depends on the type of fish you are targeting. For salt water i think the certate is great along with the twinpower, really depends on personal preference + type of fish you are targeting + style of fishing you are doing
From my understanding it makes the drag smoother, but probably has no tangible difference. But its fun tinkering and upgrading a reel! Replacing the plastic bushings with high quality metal ball bearings.
Hi, I just got mine today, the 5000 one, but it makes weird noise when reeling, like the gear/bearing is not properly greased or something, hard to describe the sound, however it’s very weird since its brand new out of the box, just for my curiosity I compared it with my stella fk and indeed it makes that weird reeling sound, but i wonder if you encountered the same experience? Thanks in advance…
Hey man I also had that experience, from reading up online I think its the sound that the rotor makes when it catches air whilst spinning. I was also concerned that there was something wrong with the reel but I think its just the way the daiwas are made compared to the near silent shimanos 😄
@@bwFuture107 Mine sounded noisier and like something was rubbing on something on moderate to low reeling speed, which is really weird, I’m wondering if yours had the similar rubbing sound in the beginning? Thanks.
hey man I don't have the Tp so cant comment on that, but 2 things I realized is that the certate does have quite a bit of noise when winding, and you cant oil your certate due to the risk of it interfering with the magseal oil. But when I compared the old certate 2019 with the stradic FL, the certate feels to have more torque and power, probably due to the bigger gears.
previous certate i find a better reel, you can get them alot cheaper now. new model doesnt feel as smooth, more harder to start the rotor spinning and like the twin power alternative (thats a joke twin power doesnt come close) over priced. my stella are now 8 ball bearings and the twinpowers are 7
Man this guy really has range, from TF2 rocket jump tutorials to KPOP to FISHING
coming of age really 😂
Found this video just as I was looking to modify my own Daiwa cheers mate!
Glad I could help 😁

I have the same problem but with my daiwas..🤣🤣🤣
thanks for making this video, very useful. where did you get the bearing from?
hey man thanks! got it from a local bearing supply shop here in singapore. Just email them the measurements and see if they have any in stock!
Hey, can you give me your email? Because i want to buy the bearings, for 24 Certate 5000D - XH - ARK model, thanks in advance.
My 24 certate doesn’t make that noise when winding. Weird
Is it the same measurement from the new 24 Certate SW 6000 model please?
Not sure about that, you can email Daiwa they'll likely know
Can we use any brand of this bearing or do you suggest us the spesific brand?
Any brand is fine, whatever is available near you.
@@bwFuture107 I updated my Certate swiftly. Thanks for this video bro ;)
Does your bail arm joint have a bit play or space in between ? Mines be driving me crazy i'm not sure if that's normal
Didn't notice any!
i would use the carbontex drag washer

@@classydriimz1403 no such issues for me man
@@classydriimz1403mine has exactly what you described man! Did it go away over time?
dont use tweezers on the washes, they are easier with even finger pressure and you wont damage them like this person did
Does the bearing size the same for 5000 cxh?
I heard so but I don't know for sure
I'm wondering the same thing. I measured at least the first bushing on my 5000 and it seems like it's 7mm.

Boa tarde, pode me dizer se este modelo tem uma roda de coroa plástica?
Yes the drag cap is plastic if that's what you're asking 😁
@@bwFuture107 have a crown in plastic?
Inside…
@@bwFuture107 not in the drag sistem…but inside the reel
Thanks for answer me

No air drive, and 3mm bail arm, im calling its a hybrid
The 24 Certate has all Air Drive components and the the new bail. No hybrid! It is superb. I have 3 of them now.
