I'm going to need to rewatch the show, I think...I honestly did not recall the Sipowicz-ClarkJr. relationship being THIS toxic at first. I also love Connie's refusal to back down to Andy's anger...and his increasing tendency to back down when SHE gets in his face, which is absolutely a sign of how close she's becoming to him, because the only other people we see have this effect on him were Sylvia and Bobby.

Andy does get called out on this, at least. We're not really expected to be on his side when he acts like this. BUT he gets irritated by bad cops screwing things up like this. Still unfair treating the son like that. Andy knows the troubles that can happen with fathers and sons. It definitely made for a new dynamic between Andy and his new partner. But given what's been going on in the squad, why not partner John with Connie? She's got no partner either.

The reactionary shots of everyone are one of my favorite things about this show. And Connie standing up to Andy about John still is priceless.
