How soon should a Owner Op request a DOT inspection, can the driver mistakenly request it too soon? Some brokers require references, what should the driver put down? How does a driver know when he has been approved to run with a carrier, say driver is using a broker that uses RMIS, how will he know when he can run? Should all power-onlys have non-owned trailer insurance? Anything more a very new driver can do put himself in a good position to run for brokers?
Do you think it will get better the closer we get to the Presidential Election? I spent 4 decades in the mortgage business and that seemed to be a pattern in our business. Just curious if it happens in trucking business. (I'm retired but help my SIL out with their business. )
I struggle with alcoholism, lack of sleep, drivers calling me while i am trying to have sex, and permanent depression caused by work related stress. I dont care about the rates, drivers do.
Every where is crazy. My mobile notary business is slow. Amazon Flex pay low. I'm adding the dispatch business along with my notary and Amazon flex. I do look forward to growing this trucking business.
Carriers just have to hang in there. Book early, book light, and book short loads.
