@@Strix358 really? That’s surprising, actually, but makes me very happy! You can get them from the audio folders of the game. Tell me if you can’t find them.
Found Calunio from playing his Dungeoneer game while in High School. He has a rare skill of delving into a fringe topic rejected by polite society and creating an interesting message from it.
Not gonna lie even myself didn't know about Calunio, insane that there's some people who make games like this in your own country and get no recognition outside the rpg maker community.
I've always had a bit of trouble getting into Calunio's games, probably because I have really specific (and generic) interests when it comes to RPG Maker games, but I respect the hell out of his games for the concepts and ideas he comes up with as well as how they're executed. I even used his projects as inspiration on an occasion or two. Really cool games from a super creative mind.
His games definitely deserve more attention. Beautiful Escape was a big inspiration for me for years and I regret that I wasn't in a hurry to play the rest of them until relatively recently, thinking that since they aren't similar to BE, they probably aren't for me. I was wrong. They are for anyone who's always looking for games they won't forget.
I haven't played any of those yet, but they really seem interesting. Thank you for covering this topic, I love finding out about the weird indie games on the internet that manage to say a lot more than big budget titles and are often made by a single person. It's really inspiring!
I didn't play all of Calunio's games, just a few, but I recently played his newest Lonely League and I have to say it's very, very impressive. The story and the characters development is masterfully done, some of the best story I've seen in any indie videogame. Deep, thought provoking, weird and funny. The tactical RPG gameplay was pure nostalgia, tons of character customization.
hey, i've known about your channel for a while and I want to say that this is like the only channel that covers rpg maker 2003 games like this i've been interested in rm2k3 lately because i'm making a game of my own (sort of) i hope when it's done you can play it for the channel it's called Gale's Sword anyways keep doing what you're doing
There needs to be more disturbing games! But non of those garbage half-assed games that have no point to it! It's always fascinating to be in different shoes of someone! I see that as art when done right!
Thanks for making this video, I've actually heard of polymorphous perversity years ago but I oould'nt remember the name for the life of me, it has haunted me since. When I think of disturbing games, I am reminded of this particular one the most.
Nicolau is a great Game designer and whatever you need, I've participated in Game Jam with him, it was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had!!! Nicolau is insane! ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
I played Susie and Freedom. Was hard to get through purely because I did not enjoy the gameplay and I think it was difficult. Maybe, I should watch a playthrough, but I still feel bitter thinking about the game.
Missed the premiere but amazing video as usual riggy!!! Incredible content as always Edit: Also just worth noting that calunio is a regular rpg maker net user and a pretty nice guy all around 🙂
It's kinda funny, the first time i heard of this guy was an open review to him on electron dance, the one that involves the game about sex. That was a very strange time, and i respect this man.
This is my favorite video on youtube.
I don't know if anyone asked already, but what are the names of all the theme songs of 'Depression' and where do I find them?
@@Strix358 that’s sweet of you to ask! I actually composed them all myself, except for the Loreena McKennit song in the “true ending”.
@@calunio Could I get them from anywhere? Especially the fight theme and the village theme I liked very much

@@calunio Thank you very much. I somehow didn't think of that before. I think they fit the nihilistic concept and general hopelessness very well

Calunio is a good name for a for someone how do this kind of game. Because means something like "I slanderous"

I finally rediscovered this guy's games that I played years ago from this video, thanks.
Hope you enjoyed what you've rediscovered! Thanks for the comment.
I've heard a lot of interesting things with Beautiful Escape. I love games where you can unleash your inner sadist.

might be twisted, but its original, and honestly looks like some high tier rpg maker creation.

Your content always hits on a different level! I still really need you to make some audio book or something lol
Good video riggy. Keep em coming
I didn't know about Calunio, thanks for sharing. I'll try one of his games.
X-Men being reimagined as a plot for a porn works too well to be ignored.
Unfortunately... you're kinda right. (For the record, Marvel Brothel doesn't show anything graphic)
What is the music at the very end of the video ? It reminds me something.
It’s the boss level music from Super Mario Bros. 3!
@@Riggy2k3 Yes thanks !
I wonder if all of these things also apply to his real life... Hope not

Thanks Roggo. Great pacing and tone shifts. Now please give me my family back, I wrote a nice comment like you asked, come on man I miss them.

I wonder what this guy dreams about
He sounds like a cool guy
He is! He’s very sweet.
Weird games, a cnd, and john lennon. What else could you want.
You should do a video about craze and his games

Given the subject matter and the SENSITIVITY of most folks online, it's not surprising this guy is unheard of.
Not sure what you're getting at, there's a lot of well known rpgmaker titles that cover these and similar topics
