30:05 the message of Jesus is a different kind of repentance than what the church usually means. We tell other people to stop doing bad and start doing good. That's not what Jesus meant are all the Pharisees would have said Amen to that. But they didn't. Why? Because he was telling them to turn away from trying to be righteous through the laws of Moses. That kind of repentance was too offensive for self-righteous people
In every church sermon for this topic preach us only half, which mean the arrogant of younger brother who was lost and found but sometimes i think the main sermon will be on elder brother who stay home with father and become so jealousy when his brother return home and father's gave him everything, So i want to know what is or what will be parable for the jealous brother😢😢
Only apostle paul said a true church is a church who never recieve tithes or offering from the people but by preaching of the gospel of CHRIST freely read 1 cor.9:14-18 Amen😇😇😇
Actually the parable of the prodigal son for me is the mystery of Christ second appearance. This parable connected to other parables too. Wedding ceremony of ancient Israel and the feast of the Lord connects to it too.
So is the Prodigal son parable about the lost getting saved, saved Christians backsliding/ repenting and returning to the Lord after a period of falling away, or both? You left me a little confused...

The pastor gave two messages. Rewatch it and then tell me which of of my scenarios is correct based on what he taught.
The prodigal so parable speaks to every walk of life. Whether new believer, or backslider… but we also learn about the elder brother syndrome that is angry, jealous & is just as lost. I’m doing a deep study in this story weekly with a group and there is a lot we have taken away from it already (Glory to God) in the past couple of months but so much more to learn from it.

In the parable the Father represents YAH (GOD) and the two sons represent the two kingdoms of Israel, the northern and the southern kingdoms. The prodigal son represents the southern kingdom that went astray. The Prodigal Son is a representation of the the 10 sons of Jacob/Isreal (the northern tribes), who went astray as a whole after the whore of Babylon. The parable is about the 12 tribes of Israel, after they split into two nations in war against each other. They became the northern kingdom and the southern kingdom. The northern kingdom (10 tribes) went in the ways of the heathens/Babylonian nations, while the southern kingdom (2 tribes) stayed true to YAH/GOD. The two southern tribes was Benjamin and Judah, and YAHUSHA (Jesus) was from the tribe of Judah, the southern kingdom.

The son went home because he was hungry, not because he was remorseful.
