Block punishment. Now this guy knows his stuff. Too many Fighting Game tutorials neglect how vital block punishment is to REALLY learning to use a character effectively. Puts you on the right track quickly.
This took way longer than expected, almost 3 weeks. I had to redo the whole thing after Sunday as file got corrupted.. ouch.. I'm also learning the game, so feel free to comment if you wish to add anything like setups, combos, etc.. I'll attach them to the pinned comment. Update : You can cancel PO with 41236 UB which can cancel into block on first frame.
They recently discovered that you can cancel Posession stance by using 41236B~G (known as PORC). It needs testing, but there may be new possible combos using this. Apparently this tech was in SC2 but removed from all other installments. Also, awesome vid!
Have you tried the following combos? 1) LH 6[B+K] A:6 B+K B (You can also delay the Wind Roll into FC 3A+B 6KK or WR BB in this combo) 2) PO B+K WR K 3B B+K KA A:6 B+K B (You can also delay the Wind Roll into FC 3A+B 6KK or WR BB in this combo) 3) LH PO B+K BT K A:6 B+K B (You can also delay the Wind Roll into FC 3A+B 6KK or WR BB in this combo) 4) CH 22A 6BB 6[B+K] BT 2A+B 5) SC 6A+B PO 6BAA W! 3KKK W! 6BB 6[B+K] CE (You can also use A:6 B+K B, A:6 B+K ~ FC 3A+B 6KK or A:6 B+K ~ WR BB in this combo) 6) SC LH PO 2B PO A4 6BAA 7) LH 66B A:6 B+K BK[B] 8) 22 K Guard Crush LH B+K A A:6 B+K B (You can also delay the Wind Roll into FC 3A+B 6KK or WR BB in this combo) These are some of the combos I've tried out with Taki. Some of them are quite hard to pull off in online play. Edit: I forgot to mention something about combo 6. If you have no meter, use this: LH PO 2B PO A4 6BA 66A+G (Opponent Ukemi Right Tech Trap combo)
Block punishing is definitely going to help me. I go against a lot of players who just fucking push buttons the entire game, and I always wondered how to punish it. I want to put these block punish options in my playstyle ASAP
taki looks so interesting, thisvideo convinced me of giving her a try after seeing all her tech crouches. the combo at 12:50 was just icing on the cake
Great video and thank you for making it! I definitely got some inspirations from this. I'm always surprised what damage you can get out of wall hits ^^ I have one question (probably a stupid one, but I could not see a pattern behind it): When I use 88B (the sidestep launcher), sometimes the enemy just "collapses" (stun I guess) and does not get launched (which always catches me by surprise). Do you know what the condition for this is?
@@IAMOP Nope I tried all kinds of things in training mode, but could not reproduce it. It happens quite rarely and from my perspective they were standing and probably attacking. Both would also lead into a launch afaik =/ I'm a scrub and love to use it when I see a lot of verticals. I originally assumed it had to do with the move having stun and maybe only the stun hit part of it hit the enemy or something, but it's so random and really strange. PS: (But it has to do with the stun hit. maybe a combination of lag and strange positioning)
The 22_88B hits the enemy twice times. When you hit the enemy with only one of those two hits (for example, because the enemy was displaced at the time you made the command) you get that stun. Is the same stun that you get with A:6.
I like it when she “Wooo”’s

Thanks, although the guide is a bit outdated now.

I'll check them out one by one.
@@IAMOP No worries, bruh. Take your time.
This is a very insightful video regarding Taki. Helped me a lot. Learnt a few new things. Great Video!

5 years... I remember like October 2018 was just a while ago.
I still have this game installed but no one to play smh

Thank you! I've never faced that with 22B or 88B, is it possible that the enemy is crouching or doing a jumping move and you hit them out of that?
