I am so glad you enjoyed this! 😊 Edgar did vocals, organ and sax. Johnny on lead guitar. This was Johnny’s blues band. The brothers are albinos and are legally blind but are master musicians. 😅

This is what all the groups back in time sounded like real people with real talent we need to bring this music back online

I'd recommend to you the song Frankenstein by the Edgar Winter Group. I think you'll find it interesting. The vocalist here, Edgar, gives a great performance, along with the rest of the group.

"Tobacco Road" is a blues song written and first recorded by John D. Loudermilk in December 1959 and released in 1960. This song became a hit for The Nashville Teens in 1964 and has since become a standard across several musical genres.

Johnny was the first non-African American inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. The bassist here, Tommy Shannon, went on to play with Stevie Ray Vaughn in the 80s.

I saw Johnny play a show at the Pickle Barrel club in Vermont about 30 years ago. He's up there with the best players: Roy Buchanan, Duane Allman, Freddy King, Albert Collins, etc

The Winters brothers were the real deal. Johnny was a great blues guitarist and his younger brother Edger is just a fantastic overall musician. I wish they would have done a lot more records together , just a powerhouse

Johnny was far and away one of the most incendiary guitarists in the history of blues/rock; right up in the conversation with SRV and Gary Moore. Check out Illustrated Man and if you are still in the mood, listen to Snortin' Whiskey by Pat Travers

Starr, the Winter brothers were Albino's so they had very poor vision but were great musicians.

You have to see Edgar do Frankenstein live on TV (not sure if this is best or official: th-cam.com/video/P8f-Qb-bwlU/w-d-xo.html ). It's as good as this, but instrumental. the Winter brothers are albino's and very light sensitive so they supposedly spent a lot of time indoors playing instruments. They're from Texas which was a hot bed of blues, so they're kind of infused with it. Edgar is legendary crazy good multi-instrumentalist that had several hit albums and singles in the 70's. Johnny is a virtuoso blues guitarist, legendary also, who had big albums around 1970 and also produced & played on Muddy Waters "comeback" albums in the mid (or late?) 70's. Interesting incredibly talented guys. I think Edgar's still alive, Johnny's passed unfortunately. edit: just found out Edgar won a Grammy this year for a Johnny Winter tribute album!

The production People doing the recording wanted the small audience to be subdued for sound puposes .
