My first hindi movie was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Kajol made me learn about and love bollywood. KKHH did very well in South Africa. Am not such a fan of the current bollywood movies and actors but Kajol will always be my favourite bollywood actress. She is magic on screen.

I was really pleasantly surprised at how thorough this list is. I thought you'd just name off current stars and it girls but this list is solid, especially Madhuri at number one, she is great at acting and dance, particularly classical, plus she has a warmth that is undeniable. My daughter and I also particularly love Kajol. The only name I really missed is that of Nargis - Raj Kapoor's classic leading lady not to mention Mother India as well as mother of action star Sanjay Dutt.
