Phenomenal cover man! May I ask what your running your tone through? I just got a TB7 yesterday and it sounds so, so pristine. I have several amp sims but I’m not really sure how to dial in a tone for recording (double tracking). I’ve heard that a jam tone that sounds full by itself isn’t what you want to use for tracking, and there’s a difference between “recording tones” and “jamming tones.” Is that true, and if so how do you tell that a tone is good for hard-panned tracking? I suppose what I’m asking is how you got your tone and mix to sound just like the album. It sounds so crisp, clear, and massive.
Hey Jake, thanks so much for your kind works dude! The TB7 is a killer guitar, best guitar I've ever played! (and I've played many high end guitars!). My set up is really simple, its my guitar straight into the Neural DSP Nameless Suite, and I run the plug in through Garage band, yes... garage band haha. When I jam I have the bass a little stronger, and when I record I have less bass and more mids, with the boost pedal maxed out. To be honest I'm new to recording and the whole digital world of playing, but I use some garage band mix and master presets to finalise the guitar recordings. My guitar tone is pretty similar to how the Nameless suite comes stock, just the gain a little stronger. hope that helps mate!!
Hey dude, 74 passes fine through the body. A standard string does not fit through the nut and the tuner, im using a d addario NYXL 74 which is tapered at the top end, the string tapers before the nut so it fit through fine
