Also I think that your skate progression is great! Me personally would be interested in seeing different skate spots in Helsinki. Just like an idea for a video:)
@@MarcoEckhardt that would be an awesome idea, i'm european yet i have no idea how helsinki looks like i'll probably never go there, so your video would be so great to watch about the city and what you can do with it. also skate the arctic circle during summer :D it's quite hot there in summer ! well ok maybe not enough streets to skate on but still ! i dont know how you can endure a winter with so few sunlight you gotta be strong !
@@mulldriftyr It’s definitely worth a visit! I’ve lived here for about 8 years and love the city. It has a very unique feeling to it and the skate scene definitely reflects that! If you ever get the chance to visit - make sure to bring a board. The dark winters aren’t easy but indoor halls help to keep us sane over here! Oh and if you are interested in how some of the skate parks look like, check out the channel of Niko Ojanen. He’s amazing and does trick tips and shows the parks around Finland!
@@mulldriftyr thanks for the feedback! I’m really proud of her! She feels very humbled by your compliments 🙏🏻 Did you check out my other videos with the Pickachu board and the grip design on my Winkowski deck? She drew those too :)
How was the concave on this for kick flips? Seemed a little rough, I noticed I got a toy machine recently and i couldn’t kick flip on it, hoping Shortys is different
I rode a Toy Machine a bit after that and would say that I found the Shorty’s a bit more mellow. The TM was a Leo Romero 8,25” deck and the Shorty’s a 8,5”. For me the Muska board felt almost a bit too flat and “dull” when it came to pop. Rode it on 149 Indy hollows with 54mm wheels.
Hi Marco! I’ve got fresh setup yesterday too! But mine is 10 inch on 169 indys. Wanna ask about bushings you’re using as a big boi. I’m pretty tall and weight around 84kg, should I look for bones hard or maybe you can recommend some other options?
Great - what board are you riding? Well I used to ride the 96A Indy bushings (yellow) for a good while in my 169s and did like them for sure. The 94A (black) ones also work well - those I ride in 159 and 149 currently. They might suit you well if you like tighter feeling trucks. If the 94A feel too stiff, try the 92A (blue) ones. I used to ride those in cruisers, but that’s the softest I’ll go. For other brand alternatives, you can for sure go to Bones hard ones (for my 100kg they are still not suitable, but that’s more bc of the double cone shape). Alternatively you could try Shorty’s Doh Doh bushings, they have 98A and 100A (white and black) although they feel respectively more like Indy’s 94A and 96A. I myself rode the white 98A Doh Dohs in my 169 Titaniums and really liked the feel and responsiveness. I think those are quite easy to get your hands on, also in Europe. Especially the original Indy bushings and Dog Dohs only cost 8€ per pack - so it won’t break the bank if you wanna try out some different ones.
@@MarcoEckhardt thank u so much for such an extended answer, I got you. But I live in Russia, can’t get doh dohs here. We are only have indy and bones here in local skate-shops. I was mostly interested in with durometers you’re using, so thank u again. About the board: I ride instagram.com/superapeskateboards/ custom board named “concrete surf” 33x10 inch. It’s local workshop, check out their instagram. They’re made full custom decks with size you want and different graphics options. Pretty proud of them!
@@ac1dpunch No worries - gotta work with what you got. We also only recently got Doh Dohs here again since Shorty’s started to make parts again. The board is sick - have fun shredding! It’s not easy to find places that make custom boards. It’s something I want to do in the future once I have a house with a small workshop :)
Dude I want a new board soooo bad! Loved the vid man keep it up!
Appreciate the love 🙏🏻 nothing better than a freshie when the weather gets better 🙌🏻

How are the shortys qik bearings?
Tbh - you get what you pay for. They are as good/bad as Reds, perhaps a bit worse ^^
That board came out in the 90's so it should be 7.5- 7.75 or nothing.
I agree, but the 7,75” had just enough space for my big toe 😅
@@MarcoEckhardt I’ve no idea how we all rode them that small haha
