@@dalesbackyardofficial hi there I’ve had the bestway costco pool with flowclear sand pump for past 3-4 yrs….filter function is working but at the same time some water is overflowing seems from the body or casket of filter. Took it all apart & cleaned the bottom disc slits with a bit of calcium built in thought that would do the trick but no shot. Help please not sure what else it can be 😢
Thank you so much for this channel! Not sure we could have set up our pool without it! Do you know of a replacement for the two piece flange on the top of the sand filter? Normal tightening of the bolt caused the nut to strip out the plastic so it’s no longer possible to remove the bolt and check or change the sand. The replacement part is sold out on Bestway but I’m hoping there’s a compatible part out there. Thanks!
Your videos saved what hair i have left on my head two years ago when putting this thing together! Two years later just 18 months into summer my sand filter tank has a crack less than a quarter inch long! Bestway is out of the tank part ( worst company ever ) wont answer the phone!! My question is if i remove the tank and empty the water and sand and dry it real good, would i be able to glue a fiberglass patch on the inside and would it hold? They want $250 - $350 for the whole filter system ! Wont pay it ! Any suggestions would be much appreciated 🙌
I would be interested to know how that filter and pump are getting on now that it is about 1 year ago when you posted the video. I am wanting an exterior filter system for our wood fired hot tub - may need to wait till the water has cooled down LOL .
I just purchased this pool and pump. Installed it and the pump leaks at the short hose connection from the sand canister to the electrical pump. How to I stop water flow to release and reconnect? I'm assuming the two inside of the pool vacuums need to be capped. But I'm nervous to remove that and lose all control. Did I not connect this correct? How I'm I to fix this? Thank you.

Had my pump hooked up for about 2 weeks and it keeps running at high psi. We have disassembled and assembled again and it works great for a day or two then the psi goes up again. Has anyone else had this problem?
I had the same problem and solved it by not hooking up the solar panel! It takes a lot of pressure to push the water through those small tubes on the solar panel into the pool!
Hello I been watching almost all your videos already, very good Now my pool came with the filter balls I believe everything will be the same to set up correct thanks for helping
Any tips on making the pump work with a timer? Our other pump had a gfci plug on it so we cut the plug and put a standard 3 prong plug on the pump. It will work with a timer now. I’m having a hard time getting the two pieces on top of the filter to connect all the way. The screws won’t tighten anymore no matter what I try. I’m assuming these need to be fully tightened to make the filter secure? Any suggestions?
So the way you have the filter system set up, how do you remove the strainer to clean it? The B side has no way to shut off. If you take the lid off all the water from the pool comes out.
Unfortunately, I already have the sand in it. Do I need to dump it and start over? Also, does the pump need to circulate for so long before we add any chemicals?
We are struggling to choose the size. We have ordered a ~9000 litre intex pool and there’s options are 8237litre/ph or a 5768 litre/ph flow rate. We ordered the big one because everyone in videos keep saying size up but now we are unsure if this isn’t an overkill. Your pool is way bigger and I think you have the smaller one as I looked up the model number. What do you think about the whole over sizing the pump/filter?
Absolutely. It's a pressurized system with short connections so gravitational relation to the pool shouldn't be considered. However, if you put 100' hoses running downhill on it, I wouldn't expect the motor to last long.
Thank You! I have the same pool and the filter leaked all around the top of the sand container. The gasket around the pump value is missing!
