The enemy of metal as we all know, moisture. I also paint near the Ocean. An middle ground cost metal primer I use religiously is called Zero-Rust. Kelly Moore carries it in my area. It is sold in gallons and aerosol can. It will out perform most products on the market. Also another material I use, very expensive is called Noxyde, it is a single component elastomeric coating that will hold back rust. 2 coats applied by airless will achieve a dry film thickness of 14 mils. Where I work we deal with a steel infrastructure and use the Noxyde as primer and top coat with an acrylic DTM. Our work gets inspected and tested by Rustoleum Reps to receive a signed off 10 year warranty. So if you are ever bidding large steel/metal projects look into those products.

Other products you mention I haven’t try them before. Like you said it will definitely help longer. But still them salt on the ocean will eat it up, it’s like the exterior products Lifetime warranty- I don’t think will last that long because the Sun ☀️ so strong will fade it out in years.
But I guess that’s how they sell them products.
