I REALLY appreciated this video! The first street bike I ever bought was a 1972 750-4 that looks just like this one! Afterwords I bought several others including 2 hard tail choppers. I used a lot of R.C.Engineering ( Russ Collins ) parts like clutch plates and stuff. Thanks for once again taking me on a trip down memory lane and a big thanks to Jeff and Chris and all the other excellent mechanics 🧰 that help make the shop shine like new money 💰! You are all awesome people.
I had THREE 750Ks. 70, 72, 75. A XS650 yamaha, 750 triumph trident, other Hondas a few sporties etc. Bought a new 2006 harley softail standard stock i still have but now MUCH modified today. I rode a 74 750K recently and can safely say its definitely OLE SCHOOL! Even totally restored im amazed at exactly how far we've come today. AMAZED! Eye opening experience but a good one. Love the look on this one. Four open pipes(less power sure but would sound even more awesome) and a more narrow lower seat is all id do, just me though. Otherwise...perfect🤙
I remember the hp rating from the factory manual claimed either 63 or 67 hp. The first cb750 I restored was a 1970. I hauled from a motorcycle junkyard in Medford OR to the coast in a Honda CRX with the #3 spark plug fouled.
Stock CB750's were lucky to have 50 RWHP....that's with a fresh tune up and cool air. 72 RWHP is about right for that engine set up.....I'm sure it has a mild cam in it. My CB is a little over 1000cc and makes just under 107 RWHP.
You guys are badass but seems like the rear wheels are always almost off your dyno and I'm waiting for one of these days for the Manic Mechanic to do a wheelie out of the dyno machine!
I had a 2007 Honda 919, naked bike, and stock, which it always was, at 120moh, she still pulled hard. Quick Bike. Not for a beginner. Ken, Will we get to see you, or one of your men ride this bike, on video? That would be awesome! Gotta love old school bikes. I'm in love with that Kawasaki Zephyr Streetbike, in Kawasaki Green, that one of your mechanics own.
Beautiful, understated, but classy finish work. The kind of bike that goes with everything! 😁 How about that, cruising out on the IOMTT mountain course?
Beautiful CB.... except those bars and sissy bar, yikes 😅 I really hope you guys ended up taking those off for at least factory lol. (Big CB fan, only CB I'll let slide anywhere near looking like this is an Amen Savior, otherwise, nope 😂) Edit, and if the stock pipes are coming off, the only thing going back on is either a Moriwaki or a Yoshimura 4.2.1.....cant believe this was built in Japan with a Kerker instead of a Japanese pipe, tisk. And why didn't he run it out to the redline? The bike was still making power and climbing with no roll off, it probably would've made well over 80, probably close to 90 wheel HP if he would've revved it out? 🤔😩
@2 stroke carb tuning porting information sounds great. Which figures should I be expecting on Dyno on the 76- 78 cb750f ss model if it's running great healthy
If it was mine, I'd rip off all that chopper crap and do my best to replicate a period correct 750F. a brown and black one. THAT would do that motor justice.
Potential for night schooling over there. How did mmi get started. All them roofs and windows would get fixed fast with federal grants towards trade school programs, welding, machine shop, auto body, small engines, advanced motorcycle mechanic, engine, frame, and suspension authorized through Gas Gas/ Husky/KTM, and maybe some Harley classes.

Seeing the power curve i think i'd rather have the stock. Most of the HP increase is in the 80 to 100mph range, which is too fast for a bike like this... I like the chromed parts and subtle paint work though.
The HP increase isn’t limited to the 80mph to 100mph range, you just see that on the dyno run because of the gear they dyno it in. The horsepower gain is across that same rpm no matter what gear you’re actually riding it in.
Ok ken I gotta talk shit here, that boat anchor is nice, --But put it against a kz750 or 900 that has the same work done and hands down the kz wins KAWASAKI IS KING ALWAYS WAS AND WILL BE 😁 , for the work done that's not much of a hp Increase

Love the dyno runs......keep Jeff on the payrolll....give him a raise and keep him outa the Jello Tree !
He does not need to raise that's his own shop, his old school tech.
Had a 72 with an 836 kit, Poweroll cam, and the same Kerker pipe. What an awesome bike!
Sounds nice, speachily Kerker 💥💖 best sound ever. Mine has UT as well, period correct on my Nos CB gorgeous 🤌👌
Friday night Kaplan...... I was getting worried for a minute. 🤣🤣

Beautiful old Honda!
What a beauty these machines are like rock n roll they will never die. 😎🇺🇸✌🏽
Jeff's a gold mine. His word is gold.
Such a nice work of Art. Just look at how big that engine is
You guys should get a CBX1050
or a rc166 250cc 6 cylinder
I love CB's my favorite is the one my dad had all original 1983 CB 1100 f only made for one year. Thing will crack a 100 in second gear.
Sweet build. So glad its not ratted out. Looks and sounds healthy!

Damn that sounds good.
Sounds like a super car
Like to see a Kawasaki z1000a1 on the dyno
Beautiful classics!! Now we gotta see the gasgas bikes on the dyno pleae
Why is the bike so sideways on the dyno? Scared me the whole video
Sounds awesome though!! What a machine
Middle of roller worn smooth!
that sound is incredible

I miss windows XP....... also that thang is MEAN!
Jeff could teach MOST classes at MMI.
Do the cafe build, shame seeing a CB converted to a disco bike.
Sounded like a CB 750 till the hit, then wow. Cool
Great sounding bike!
nice sleeper

Where you guys located at? I've got a project you guys might like to see an old chopper from the '70s a garage find
God bless CB750 by Honda👌👍
Id love to have this guy tune my CB750. It runs good but the manic mechanic would make it run better.
Should i try to find somebody to high tune my 78 super sport ? How mutch HP can u get from rebuild them nice ?
kind of confused on this one wondered why it wasn't strapped down great job manic mechanic
It has a front wheel lock on the dyno machine, and there is no need for a strap.
@@st-qd8wg I got the same dyno at the shop it does have a strap. Thanks
@@2strokecarbtuningportingin187 someone else ask question I stated since strap was not visible from Vid I thought it may have wheel lock instead.

Mine was a K1, 810cc Yoshimura fruit.
I'm drooling.
I wanna put my 2017 KTM 450 SXF on the dyno KAP!!!! God Bless Brother

80-100 mph on that bike is just right! Come off the entrance ramp onto I-55 and nail it!
It's not a K Oh but a K Zero!
That was a bad bike in its day ,still is and that thing sounds sic

About to run that rear tire off the dyno! At the very least mess the tire up!
Chain looking pretty dry and kinky ! Oil that chain up you might get a better number !
