Sarah I have ordered the Bob pants pattern ,inspired by you,and I am going to dig out my Tilly book for the Bertha😂.You look terrific in all of your makes, what a great capsule. I recently made the Style Arc Ethel trousers but didn’t like them until I tried them on. They look like Ali Baba pants but are so easy ,cool and comfortable to wear I think I will size down and make more. I can wear them indoors when it is hot. Thank you for an enjoyable video.🌹🌹🌹
Ah thank you!! I hope you love them as much as I do!! Ali Baba pants has made me laugh. I made some harem pants from a vintage pattern in lockdown and absolutely loved them!! 🥰
Wow!what a fabulous collection Sarah. Everything looks so good and stylish. I have looked at the Bob pants many times and wasn’t keen on the leg shape but they look so good on you that I will give them a go. Really super video.
I have some version of these that I have had for years. No elastic waist but the person the made them used ribbon thru the waist band so they can be tied. They are very comfy.
Ooh thank you!! I think sometimes you just have to try these things, I was on the fence about them for a long time, but glad I eventually tried them! 🥰
Oh my goodness I love your babs - especially the first pair you should! The outfits - all of them - look fab. I’m tempted by both the Bertha and the bibs now 😂❤
All the bob pants look gorgeous, I cannot decide high is my favourite because they are all lovely . I knew there would be a Naya in there somewhere 😂😂😂😂
I love all your Bob pants! I have that pattern but haven’t made them yet. They look good on your body type but I’m tall with long legs and not sure how they would look. They look very comfortable though!
Ah thank you so much! I would say as a lucky person with long legs you can wear anything!! Just use the lengthen shorten lines and go for it would be my advice. They are such a fabulous shape!! 🥰
Love your makes - I haven’t tried the bob yet but fell in love with the teddy trousers this season which have a similar silhouette with the cocoon shaped legs . I think style arc patterns are drafted very well and straightforward to sew once you get your head around the succinct instructions 😂
Lovely outfits Sarah. I love the bob pants on you and fancy trying the Bertha cardigan, I’ve wondered for ages to think of a suitable fabric. I’m very tempted so need to search my stash. I think your outfits are really super 🤗
Ah thank you so much!! I think the Bertha needs a jersey with a bit of body, not necessarily loads of stretch. It’s such a lovely cardigan. Happy sewing!!
@@sewsarahstyle yes I love them. I did reduce the width a bit as they were too barrel shaped for me but I have made a couple and got two more waiting x
Love the Bob fashion show and all the tops to go with them. Everything looks wonderful on you. And it looks like you had a lot of fun putting it all together.
Love your Bob capsule wardrobe. Interesting to see them made from a floaty fabric. It works really well. I’ve made mine from more structured linen but will definitely try some floaty ones. I’ve only got 4 pairs so far so good to have a reason to make more!
Ah thank you! I’m starting to feel like you can never have too many bobs! 😂. I’m really looking forward to making some heavier ones in the autumn, although not wishing the summer away!!
I love the Bob pants, and plan on making a couple more. So far I have 6 pairs, all different weights and drape. I also lengthened one pair wondering if I could wear them with socks and shoes, but that doesn't seem to look right to me so far. Up til now, I like them best with sandals and a tee tucked in at the waist, baggy-ish or fitted . I love your Bob's with the white tank, and the creamy Bertha looks very sophisticated with the white :) #2, #3, and #4 all look great!!
Ah thank you so much!! 6 pairs so far, love that!! I can see so many more pairs in my wardrobe too. That’s interesting about having them lengthened as I wondered about them not looking so good longer. I may just keep them shorter for autumn winter and wear with boots perhaps.. 🤔 thank you!!
The bobs look great. They are one of the only trouser pattern I haven't tried lately. Glad it wasn't just me with the travertine. Love the whole collection of what you made xx
Thanks Sam and thanks for the Bertha reminder! 😂. I know you’re a bit trousered out at the moment, but the Bobs are a winner for me! There is also the Sew liberated Arthur pants which look interesting… 🤔
Your sewing looks so professional. Love everything you make. You could be a stylist as well. The fabrics you choose I probably would pass them but on you there stunning. Of course it's fair to say I only started sewing. So far one dress which is full of mistakes. And your choices of makes look expensive too. Top class all of them.
Ah thank you so much for your lovely comment!! 🥰. Of course your first dress will be full of mistakes, my clothes are still full of mistakes, I like to make different errors with different garments, but that’s the best way to learn! 😂😂😂. You may notice that I tend to make fairly simple garments as that’s the sort of sewing I prefer, I just change it up with different fabrics. As a beginner I would absolutely recommend you try the Tammy handmade Naya t shirt if you haven’t already (and if you like the style) because it’s such a lovely simple t shirt to make. It’s only the neckband which is slightly tricky if you haven’t done one before. Anyway, keep going and happy sewing!!! ❤️
Love your Bobs!! They look so comfy, think my favourite were the first ones, that style of fabric really suits you and your Bertha is a lovely staple xx
Nice Bob pants! And I like all the tops, too. How do you do the high neck hack that you refer to? Where on the pattern do you cut straight across? I am having a challenge to envision. Thanks! 😊
Thank you!! I talked about how I do the neck in the ‘using my favourite patterns with different fabrics’ vlog about a month ago. Hope it makes sense, just ask if you need any more info! 🥰
I first started sewing when the Bob pants came out. I remember thinking they looked so voluminous in all the pictures. However, I absolutely love how they look on you. Would you be comfortable sharing your waist and hip measurements so I can gauge if I need/should go down 1 or 2 sizes as well? I love seeing all of the patterns you use made up in clothes because we have a similar build - although I'm much older than you! Haha. Thanks Sarah, great video as always.
Hi, thank you!! I’m away at the moment, so can’t check my measurements, but I think (and my memory is terrible) that my hips are around 41 and waist 30. That’s sounds like a big difference though!! That’s probably why I have to shimmy the trousers up 😂
@@sewsarahstyle We all do the pant shimmy! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm always so impressed how you make these patterns work so well for yourself. Everything is always so flattering, classic and lovely. Hope you're on a vacation.
The Bobs are amazing on you! Wow love all of this! I have never thought I would want to wear barrel leg trousers but this video is making me reconsider. Maybe sizing down is the ticket. I'm like you, kind of need to size down in elastic waist pants but then need a full seat adjustment. Interesting!
Ah thank you!! Yes if you do decide to make them, then definitely size down if you don’t want too much barrel! Although you can always just take them in a little if it’s too much. 🥰
Love the barrel leg shape, I have the Barry pattern which is basically a slimmer legged Bob! I have tonnes of them now and have more planned. Unlike you I have to have pockets though 😂 have you tried the Velma T-shirt by swim style patterns as an alternative to the naya. Great makes ❤
Ah I hadn’t seen the Velma thanks, but it’s a lovely t shirt isn’t it? I really like the v neck version. I also would like to try the Barry’s at some point, I like the idea of a slimmer leg and maybe then I’ll try the pockets. 😊
Love your Bobs Sarah. I have many pairs...even stretchy ones. (I went all Sequin Girlie Sam 🤣) All your tops are brill too. I'm off to make a Bertha. XX
Just a thought - when you use your twin needle do you use your walking foot? If not, that might be the answer. Back to the drawing board if this isn't the solution
Love all of your Bob’s Sarah! Especially the patchwork 7 berry ones. And can also see how a beige Bertha is perfect for your wardrobe/ aesthetic. All of your outfit combos look great.
Hi Sarah, love all your bobs but I don't understand how you got to make them slimmer can you share how you did that, please. I know you took some off the side of the pattern but how much and where did you start and finish tapering them in? Oh, I hope you understand what I am asking from this gibberish nonsense.
😂 not gibberish at all!! It’s so tricky to explain, but I suppose I took the width slightly from the widest parts of the pattern if that makes sense? So it would have been about a centimetre tapering to nothing towards the hips and hem as you don’t want to take width there. Please ask again if this doesn’t make sense!!!
I love that you get so much out of one pattern! These look really great! And I must check out the Bertha cardigan too!!
Ah thank you!! Yes absolutely love the Bertha, I’ve worn it non stop!! Definitely will be more. xx

I’ve got black linen Bob pants, and I think they look great with my Alabaster top!
Ah that’s a good idea, I’ll try that combination thanks!
Wow!what a fabulous collection Sarah. Everything looks so good and stylish. I have looked at the Bob pants many times and wasn’t keen on the leg shape but they look so good on you that I will give them a go. Really super video.
Ah that’s great to hear thank you!! Yes I’d say give them a go, you can always narrow the barrel leg a bit if it’s too much for you!! Thank you! ☺️
Some lovely combos there Sarah, I think my favourite pairing is Bob & Stella 🤩😍 The nautical looking set is super cool too 😍🩷
Ah thanks Julie!! I can see a few more Stella’s being made, I love that pattern 🥰
Hello Sarah, I loved all the garments you have made. I am now going to order my own Bob pants pattern. The cardigan is fabulous too,,
Ah thank you!! Enjoy your Bobs 🥰
Great vlog as always you really suit all your makes ❤
Thank you! ☺️
I have some version of these that I have had for years. No elastic waist but the person the made them used ribbon thru the waist band so they can be tied. They are very comfy.
Ooh the ribbon idea sounds good actually, room for expansion if and when needed! 🥰😂
Love, love. Have had that pattern sitting there unused……she rushes to her sewing room……thanks for inspo…..❤
Yes!! Happy making! 🥰😂
Wow Sarah, all your Bob pants look fantastic and I love the way you’ve styled them. The Bertha cardigan is great too. ❤❤
Thanks so much 🥰
A bob bonanza!! Love the denim and stripes together. X

Great Bob pants! I wasn't sure about the barrel leg but you may have converted me! 😂

Love your reply too 😝

Love all your Bob’s & matching tops. What a great selection of garments. I’ve had the Bob pattern in my stash forever, I must make them up 🤩

Great Bob pants. Love your styling. My favourite is the navy and top.
Thank you so much 🥰
OMG what a beautiful selection of garments. Your sewing is TOP CLASS 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Thanks for the ideas
Ah thank you so much!! You are very welcome 🥰
Your Bobs look amazing; what great outfits you've put together. Love the Bertha, too.

I've had the Bob pattern for so so long and never made them. Maybe I will make them for next summer as I think the cropped style is more summery.
