I remember one special day for me, almost 30 years ago when I received as a gift for my birthday one Radio-Double tape recorder deck "International" with my first 2 tape cassettes - one of this cassettes being with "The Long Ryders ". It was my first tape device ever ! During our communist era in Romania, in my childhood I had just a pick-up device... Imagine that for almost one full month till I had enough savings to buy my second tape cassette (it was "Triller" by M.J) - I had listen "The Long Ryders" cassette for more than 200 times I think ! I especially remember this song - (my favorite) - who was the first on "A" side on that white WB cassette , and I bet that my neighbors too ! :))) Wonderful times and wonderful parties back then when I was in elementary school and my country was free again after 45 years of communism ! What a wonderful inspiration to search this song on TH-cam ! I'm really happy! God bless you!
Liam Wall and I worked on this for several weekends in a row so I hope y'all dig it. Happy days, they were. I think you can see that by our expressions. Love and mercy to you and yours. www.thelongryders.com
Excellent work, if only a video back in 86 and this would've , shoulda been a top 10 hit. To this day, i can't understand why this song wasn't huge! Am i correct in that it wasn't released as a single in the USA?> I can't seem to find a copy anywhere.
@@sidgriffin813 Wow! unreal, it was like the record company (island) was purposely NOT trying to sell your music. I have a lot of your catalog but i can't find 7 inch singles other than Lewis And Clark and some non us singles.. Oddly enough i have several 12 inch singles though.
I can barely remember some days the fun we had in the 1980s, but a very short story. The LR were playing a two days stay at Maxwell's famed R/R venue and one cold 1984 Nov night Sid called me up from ringside there put his National electric guitar around my neck during a hectic/frantic mid set song. He grabbed a trumpet I guess drunk and screamed over the band do you know these major chords? I said played them barely decent. And have a pic, owing to my brother with an instamatic in the front row, playing with the LRs in NJ at their peak. Whew!!!

great song, great lp, great band, and AND..... SID Griffin`s Books about the Basement Tapes are incredible!!!
I saw 'em in Houston around the time this was filmed. Friend of mine & good bass player was manager of the club at the time.
