If Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers had written this it would have been a monster hit. The Final Wild Songs box set that came out a while back showed what a great and consistent band the Ryders were. So many great songs!
They did! 1985/2004/2009/2019. I went tonight in Ravenna,Italy,and it was the third Italian and final date of this European Tour. They played this track with such an energy that almost electrocuted the whole venue! IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!

@peterjonas4971 Ahead of their time. If only they'd come out in the early 90's with Uncle Tupelo the Long Ryders would have had a solid fan base.
