My 14 year old female Toller past away 6 months ago. She was one of the most beatiful animals that I ever had a relationship with. First few months she chewed everything including two tv remotes, car key remote, baseboards, chair legs, socks and my hands but after those puppy months she was my best friend. I miss her daily. This breed is unbelievable.
These dogs are pure gorgeousness.

They're like a gorgeous cross between a Golden Retriever and a Border Collie. And those puppies! OMG! What beautiful little cuddle puffs. Sooo cute! Want one.
I have a toller named Peachy, she’s 2 years old and my absolute treasure. She’s very energetic, silly and expressive. She enjoys playing fetch in our yard and always plays with 100% energy! Also extremely gentle and sweet 🥰
We have one. She is extremely high energy and high anxiety. Needs to constantly be swimming or chasing balls. If you get a Toller, make sure you have a VERY active lifestyle. Our girl isn't super cuddly but she's beautiful and super intelligent.

One of my coworkers has a toller and her pups. The dog was one of the sweetest, most affectionate, and well behaved that I've seen
I'm lucky to live in Canada because there's many breeders for the Toller near me. I'm so gonna get one!

Good idea! I did think of getting one from a shelter. Seeing them sitting around all day to feel loved breaks my heart so I'll definitely consider it!

I found a dog in Albuquerque 14 years ago and she is part Toller. When I found her at.about 4 months old I had a neighbor from Halifax. She recognized Izzie as part Toller. She is a wonderful dog, old now but I love her still.

we rescued my dog from the pound after he was dumped on the streets and later we found out he is a duck toller!
I just came here to confirm that the dog found wandering about today by someone -- then brought to the rescue agency I volunteer with -- IS in fact, a NS Duck Toller. It definitely is -- I had not heard of them before -- what a gorgeous breed. (Another uncommon dog was found 'playing in traffic' yesterday -- no collar, no tags, etc. -- it is believed to be a "Cane Corso". I was unfamiliar with it also -- another gorgeous dog.) We have breeders of both looking into them -- very odd -- dog trafficking? Anyhow -- enjoy yours -- he is adorable in your photo.

Dare I say, The best retriever ever. These dogs, and maybe border collies too, are so so smart with object memory and puzzles.

The only downside to living in Texas, is that these dogs are very hard to find. Like the breeder said, they're a rare breed. Still trying to find one to have as a duck dog!

@@kvalenti53 Aww she’s the best! We named her Willow and she’s a little over 2 years old. Toller puppies nip and chew EVERYTHING in the early puppy stage but they’re the best 😌 We got her from a local breeder, the waiting lists can be pretty long though be warned! Really important to properly look into the breeder you get your pup/s from to make sure they’re responsible and legitimate. Also be warned, you’ll want to get another! 😂

always wanted a golden retriever esque dog as i lost mine a few years ago, but never exactly a golden bc it wouldn't feel right to me. this breed hits the spot- super cute and active, but unique looking and suited for compact spaces as well. i love how theyre smaller and jumpier yet have that easy training quality
kinda want one for college bc i know ill be lonely and i am usually 12-16 hours outside or in semi outdoor spaces and walk everywhere. might be hard to take the dog everywhere though. i want one so bad but have to make sure they wont be cooped up all the time

+alan lockie It's not a breed that's very common so many people get them from other countries. Since you live in Spain I think you problaby need to go to the nordic countries, more common over here!

What about the Newfie or Labrador Retriever for Newfoundland and Labrador?
Beautiful and loving dogs as well but their sheer size is a big big committment.
They don’t last as long either, their size means their life expectancy drops significantly when compared to other dogs.

Think of a Golden Retriever, but smaller. Easier to lift, your back with thank you.
How does their intelligence compare to Border Collies?
Not as intelligent, but still smart enough.
Not as smart, but I would say smarter than Golden Retrievers - anecdotal evidence.

very smart. Can read your emotions. I would call, what did Coco get for Christmas and she would go to her toy box and pull out the stuffed Santa.
Smart, if you want them as house pets then Tollers are actually better. Having border collie level intelligence would be like having another child.
