So great/funny to see Turbo Yoda getting more an more animated as time goes on. I remember in the really old MCM stuff he was a lot less comfortable on camera. Getting to see some of that sharp wit come through. Keep it up!!

Watching Al work is very relaxing. It's tough stuff but at the same time he's just so very calm and methodical. Also the music is great too! Very jazzy but still neat and electronic like the main MCM stuff.
The perfect timing of the centre punches with the music was so satisfying.

100% agree with you. This is got a lot more technical aspects and fabrication which is more interesting than the main channel

The extra work taken in the editing process to match the hammer strikes, drilling, and other tool use with the music make this even more satisfying to watch.
Woody hitting the punch on the beat was perfect. The first one made me think "Was that just lucky?". The second one was confirmation of well done production.
Woody did a really good job with synchronizing camera cuts to the beat of the music during the welding part of the video.

The first few skid factories felt like MCM episodes with different dudes but as they've got further in you can feel the difference in the shows from the music and cuts to the content its getting Yoda and Woody's touch on it. Love the work guys

Just want to say I seriously appreciate the syncing of the centre punches to the music. For some reason it made me grin like an idiot.
You know what gets me with all of this? It's how many potential mistakes or problems down the line that Al just spots and deals with as soon as he thinks of them, that's the power of experience I guess.
I would ponder the engine mounting for weeks and these guys just throw it in there. Respect!

OSHA in Australia is usually called OH&S (occupational health and safety). Not that I'm a grammar Nazi or anything. Just thought you might like to know.
When it was on that bench I was wondering if they might accidentally remove too much weight off one side of the engine causing it to tip to the other side.
Laws changed and now it's officially called WHS in Australia.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't look more forward to Skid Factory than regular MCM episodes!
Now I've driven a Bedford CF here in the UK with a 2.3 litre petrol (maybe 70 horses under the bonnet, tops) and it was terrifying enough. This'll be another level scary. I like.
Good to see one of the van's driving lights aimed up towards the sky, looking for drop bears. Can never be too careful...

Health and safety tip around hoists:Never lower the hoist while someone is standing under it. They have a safety lock to prevent it falling if the hydraulics fail while you're working on a car, but to lower the hoist that safety lock is disengaged. In the rare event that the hydraulics blew out, woody woulda been smushed
Same reason why you use axle stands instead of a hydraulic jack when laying under a car

If this was Bad Obsession then they'd have got sidetracked by now and spent 3 episodes making a better engine hoist, welding in a new floor only to cut it up again and having 27 cups of tea. OH, and this episode wouldn't be out until 2019. I love Project Binky but man that thing will never be finished.
But if it does get finished.........

I love the precision of Al and Woody, building bespoke components and meticulously ensuring everything is locked down tight. Then I watch Cleetus MacFarlane who slaps together a hand clutch with a gatorade bottle resevoir with a cold air box sitting on plywood just to smash it on the Dyno - I love Al's work but Cleetus is more of what I tend to do :-)

There's a filter in the oil feed line for the turbo on those motor's so if ya got one first thing ya want to do is get the filter out & bin it. Then your turbo won't poop it's pant's so quick.
