Absolutely true! Bajirao Peshwa was the perfect example of a warrior and a lover. His strength on the battlefield and his deep love for Mastani proved that love is not a weakness but a source of immense courage and passion. But it’s unfortunate that our society often reduces his legacy to just his love for Mastani, labeling him as a fool in love, while forgetting that he was one of the greatest undefeated warriors in history. I believe the world should remember him as ‘Bajirao Peshwa the Great,’ not as a mere lover, which unfairly stains his monumental achievements. Thank you! team Heritage Unfolded.
Nothing wrong with Love but reducing and labelling him with love story is an insult. It is very much visible with movie titled as “Bajirao Mastani” , a movie made on Maratha General who remained undefeated from 42 battles he had fought.
Completely agree! Bajirao was one of the greatest military minds in Indian history, and it’s unfortunate that his legacy is often overshadowed by just one aspect of his life. His undefeated streak in 42 battles and his role in expanding the Maratha Empire deserve far more recognition than what pop culture gives him. And in the same direction we are working you can join us on this journey. Thank you! for your words team Heritage Unfolded.
Bajirao the undefeated
A warrior doesn't have to be 'lower' to be a 'lover'. Love is no weakness
