HOW IT WORKS: Speed Enforcement

Denver Police Traffic Operations routinely conducts speed enforcement on Denver's highway system. The goal is not issuing citations, however--driver education is the key to making sure all vehicle occupants make it to their destination safely.

What about cops go 70 on 55 mph? Here in SoCal I’ve seen cops driving almost double the speed limit holding their coffee cups and no emergency situation.

In the first 40 seconds of this video we have seen 4 people speeding, to the point of getting tickets. We have also seen. 30 cars NOT KEEPING RIGHT, which is arguably MORE dangerous than speeding.
Why are we selectively enforcing speed limit laws and not keep right laws.
It's not about safety; it's about money.
The officer: "These cars are so smooth; you don't even realize you are going that fast." Exactly, Speed Limits under 65 MPH are designed for cars back in the 50's and 60's not for modern cars which can easily and safely handle faster speeds.

Instead of extorting motorists for ridiculous speeding violations maybe focus more on tailgaters and people weaving in and out of traffic? You know, things that actually cause accidents?

In florida its 300$ for 10 over apparently. I feel cheated.

Excuse me but I know exactly how fast I am going I just didn't see you. That is 80% of us. It is a calculated risk everytime. Safety isn't just about speed you have aggression, proximity, road and traffic conditions and a few more. This isn't about safety it is about money. I can at least be honest about my POV.

What's the point? You stop one car and all the rest are speeding cause you are writing the ticket...
You should go with the speed road allowing to, but city should understand having higher speed limit on the highway around town is good...

So they were running late and trying to make up time by going faster only to be stopped by the cops and delayed and now have to drive twice as fast to make up for all the time the cop burned up on them..lol
