I have watched the video and i have read all other comments before write ✍️ this one. Based on my experience as fancy animal hobbyist, and maybe I'm not real shrimp breeder yet, but i hope so, soon 😊.
I see no weird, even not surprised by the story/experience from your video, sorry, but i think this the fact and even how the nature works.
Your experience is normal, even maybe a lucky one.
Let me explain, we can see back, when red fancy tiger appears on market? And their average price, for good one looking/appearance is still around $100 or up, what's that mean? It can be two possibilities.
    1. That animal variant, simply easily dying, very hard to breed, or anything make it rare.
    2. That animal have some normal productivity, but have lots of cull rate for their offsprings.
That's two, make their price averagely stable on market, and to be honest, including me, we're happy because of it.
For anyone who read this comment, but still get confusing, sorry, my english, maybe not fluent yet, but let me try to explain more.
If you, buy let's say 2 pair, and after 3 year, you have 20% cull rate, and thousands other people do exactly the same as you, are you sure the good looking of red fancy tiger, after 3 year, still have price from $100 up? Big possibility is not, the price can be around $10-$15, that's good for hobbyist? Maybe yes.
That's good for breeders and the animals (the shrimp)? Big possibility is no.
We can see the fate of most neocaridina, and I'm happy many new caridina shrimp not meet that fate.
I ever hardly imagine if a pair of grand Champion koi fish can give cull rates for 20%, and just after few years, many koi fish, have exactly same looking as them.
I still remember a guppy breeder from Japan, told to Mr Phillip Shaddock from Canada, why some breeder, in fancy animals hobbyist, really keep some of their technology or trick in secret?
Because, in this hobby, we always must remember other, who depend not only their life, but their families, with this industry hobbies.
Many times, they hope to find some "exclusive animals" With special colors or pattern, and they love to works for it, for years they hope.
Guys, we can learn from red cherry shrimp, even some of their high grade is now really easily to produce, i know that's a happy news for many others who want to have many of red cherry, but for the shrimp itself, and for anyone expect to gain some profits, from the hobbies it can be not only bad news, but sadness.
Let's be honest, maybe you and me, willingly to care even the culls animals with love and huge care, but many see them just as cheap ornaments, we can see many of betta fish variant, what's happening with them 🙂.
Because of this, i support the Japanese, after i learn from them.
Secrecy, some tricks in business, not always bad, it's to protect something in industry and the happiness of people who dedicated for it.
If i have much of money, and i buy a pair of very high grade kohaku koi fish with $5000 and then 90% of their offsprings have rejected or culls quality, but koi fish can have thousand of babies 😅, so maybe 100 of the little koi, have same quality as the parent, believe me, I'll coming back to the breeder, hugs him or her, and even sell one if two from that 109 good quality babies to take that breeder family and my family, have dinner on some good restaurant😊.

@@RWAquariumPages thank you, thanks so much for understanding it.
Yep a variant, especially which can easily produced, will have drop on their price, but we can see pure red line moshura, nowadays, we can even get a $1 red line moshura shrimps, but sure it's quality of color and bodies or even the fitness, very different with that pure red line moshura with $100 for each🙂.
Remember your videos about the mass pond producing and the very high quality and carefully raised from aquarium 😉

Looks like you still had lots of still pretty decent shrimp lol. Still waiting to see how mine grow out. My caradina beginner shrimp and was always the caradina I had to have if I ever got them lol. Seems like I'm on a good start. Great vid.

@RWAquariumPages kinda thinking that's what I will end up doing. This tank will eventually end up being the lesser ones, and start a more breeder friendly one with only the best ones that pop up after letting them breed out for a while just to know I have a good solid population. Many of the caridina are amazing, but there's always been something about fancy red tigers to me. Probably end up with lots of fancy tiger tanks and fancy tiger mixes eventually lol, they'll be my base of caradinas more than likely. Mine are decent, I'd say A/S I paid 35 per for mine, and the little babies I have been seeing most look pretty decent. I've been seeing more really small babies the last few days.

@Mark Shelly Aquatics that's amazing to hear and what a great goal and idea. I know you'll be successful. I must admit these rft breed like nuts. I took out 100 in my colony had 60 left and there's about 100 babies all over the glass. Man I just love seeing shrimp tanks full of shrimp

Very nice pattern on the main shrimp shown, I agree the others are not as good, but 250 red fancy is a dream for most keepers! Your cousin is very lucky! How many fancy tiger tanks do you have now? How did the new shrimp patterns/colour affect the colony?

They are fantastic shrimp but a little too expensive. Sometimes higher price doesn't mean higher quality.I have experienced this with some extreme blue bolts and they kept on changing colour so much, one day they were so blue like copper sulfate but the next they they are super white with a little bit of blue.

Sorry I’m late Ik this vid came out months ago. I just started my shrimp tank a few days ago after doing a lot of research and owning many planted tanks, rn I have 3 crystal red shrimp and they have been doing great. I heard that I could introduce tangerine tigers and create red tigers. Do you think I should let them establish for a few more months and then introduce or is sooner better? I would greatly appreciate the feedback even if it’s anything random, that may help me.
