Hey all, commissioner here! This track has been long awaited for me and Brandon did not disappoint! I can’t say how much I appreciate his work on the track! These two characters are two of my favorite characters from two of my favorite series and it’s so awesome to see this matchup be realized with Symbol of Hope! While I think Midoriya takes this, there’s an argument for fused Hajime with all those talents and some better speed feats if you wanna go crazy with calcs. Regardless tho I love the matchup and the track! This is my first commission but certainly not my last!
Two powerless, talentless youths that wished for nothing more than to be like those they idolized. Two powerless, talentless youths who were suddenly gifted all the power and all the talent in the world... and all of the burdens that came with it. God, if it weren't for the massive MHA power creep, this would still be Deku's Ultimate matchup.
Set up; Izuku saved the cast of Trigger Happy Havoc, so Junko sends Izuru after him. Deku beats a gauntlet of the Remnants and finally goes against Izuru Izuru: Hmph, how dull. You are out here playing superhero during Armageddon? Izuku: someone has to help prople. So I am going to save as many as I can Izuru: …Hmm. Let’s see how well your ideals measure up to me
do not be afraid These two are the culmination of ultimate research on heroes. The traits that prevented them from being zeros at the lowest points the rose from the abyss. do not despair for they are there. There classes behind them You can't defy them. The ultimate hope The symbol of peace You will be at ease
I honestly really love Izuku and Hajime as a comparison both being completely normal who idolized and admired those with talent and strived to be the best they can be while attending a predetermined school for the best and most gifted and of course the stark contrast both would take with Izuku inheriting One For All and becoming a hero who does everything he can for the world Izuru would take a darker turn obtaining all the talent there is while becoming completely apathetic and bored of the world itself. I really love that duality and polar opposites both have while also being really similar it’s really incredible.
Izuru/Hajime explicitly has every talent that exists in Danganronpa, which includes some bonkers stuff. He may be able to out-hax Deku with the abilities of the Ultimate Analyst.
Hajime not only has Luck to help him make up for everything but he also has stuff like the Ultimate analyst, Ultimate Boxer, Ultimate Martial Artist, Ultimate Soldier, Ultimate Swordswoman, he should even Scale to Genocide Jack who has some crazy physical feats. Basically anything any Ultimate in Danganronpa can do, Hajime can do better, so if Hajime can win X Amount of times out of a hundred his luck will make sure he picks that solution every single time.
Hope can be a powerful thing but can be difficult to hold on to in tough times. For these two however that's part of the job, though they may stumble they inspire others to not give in to despair.
my bother is the commissioner of this song and regardless of how I didn’t want to hear it I’ve heard him talk about this matchup time and time again. It is very close, down to a tee. I personally believe Izumi Hajime takes it because of the luck hax. My brother has sourced EVERYTHING including every one shot, every manga, game, anime. Anything canon you can name he has covered. It is much closer the most realize.
I know right? I mean in terms of power there’s no competition. Izuku takes strength and durability pretty easily. Though Hajime scales to town level surprisingly Speed- oddly I’m pretty sure Hajime scales to FTL putting him faster Intelligence- Izuru easily, Deku is smart but Izuru in particular is the ultimate analyst, mechanic, inventor, teacher and programmer, he could easily Skill- Izuru but only slightly, Izuku has been seen in more fights sure. But Izuru is the ultimate analyst, he could definitely adapt to Izuku’s fighting style. Plus already knowing multiple forms of martial arts What really makes this close is Izuru’s haxes, having the luck of Nagito, the analysis skills of Junko, and just having every single talent means that Izuru is basically prepared for anything Izuku throws at him But Izuku needs one good hit to win and given how both are melee fighters, that would make it easier for Izuku. But Izuru would probably know this. But still he needs ONE hit I’m genuinely stumped on who wins
@@AdamTheMango105 I love how much detail you put in and how fair you treated both characters. Izuku needing only a single hit to win I 100% agree with, though izuru's analytical skills are beyond superhuman, essentially giving him precognition. It's a super close fight and I absolutely adore that, and these two characters are some of my favourites from their respective series. If this fight ever happened, I'd be rooting for everyone's favourite orange juice enthusiast.
Wow. I guess having the superhuman abilities studied by a school for almost 8 decades is way more busted tham I originally thought. Though I'm pretty sure Deku doesn't have a counter for the pure bullshit that is Ultimate Luck. As Izuru has every talent, it is likely he has mastered even the vague ability that is luck. Considering the shit that Nagito is able to do with it not only in DR2, but the DR3 anime, I would argue that mastery over luck would classify as some sort of lower tier reality warping. As an easy example, in the DR 2.5 Nagito's Adventure short, Nagito brings down an entire construction site by simply throwing a ball that happens to loosen every single bolt, yet he is completely unharmed since the steel beams crash neatly around him. Sure it was in a virtual reality, but it was a virtual reality playing by the rules of the real world. And considering the speed gap between the two, all it would take would be just 1 or 2 lucky hits to, oh I don't know, sensitive pressure points, which Izuru would have in-depth knowledge of from the Ultimate Doctor, to put Izuku in a world of pain. Plus, Izuru has the abilities of the Ultimate Boxer, Swordsman, Blacksmith, Soldier, etc to not only mix up fighting styles, but utilize improvisational weaponry to keep Izuku at at bay long enough to get the hits needed. But this is just the rambling of a series Danganronpa fan who will die on the hill that Ultimate Luck is the most broken single talent in the franchise.
Wiz: Izuku Modoriya, the UA High Hero. Boomstick: Hajime Hinata, the spark of Hope’s Peak Academy. Wiz: What makes a hero? Is it the power that they possess in their hands? Or is it their beliefs that they fight for, no matter what, to make the world a better place? Boomstick: Answer: Both! With great power comes great responsibility, and two of the most powerful anime heroes around! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick! Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!

Let's go! One of, if not the, Danganronpa matchup most deserving of a Death Battle got its own track! If I wasn't currently broke with no idea how to put in a commission, I would've commissioned it
@@dragonbreathisuseless4934 they do thanks to media outside the main 3 games, like the anime, novels, and the spin-off game UDG. You got stuff like Mukuro seeing bullets in slow motion, Nekomaru making massive explosions, etc
@@azurewriter8347 I know, that was supposed to be a quip about how weird Danganronpa matchups can get. I mean, my favorite matchup for the series is well, that. And thats only debatable because of Total Drama's toonforce and Chris' lack of regard for his own troops lol.
I’m so glad this track got made. This is one of my favorite matchups of all time and this track did not disappoint. The connections are five miles long and have been listed by basically every commoner, and it acts as the epitome of stats versus hax. There’s actual room for debate because of this. If it ever got turned into an episode it would probably have some major discourse, but I don’t care. This matchup is cool.
Gosh that art slaps. And the OST does so. I like how it has a true heroic feel to it overall and takes a lot from both franchises for the better. The slightly softer tones of Danganronpa with the piano with the use of guitar and heavy percussion for MHA. I also like how there's some breaks in the song. The most notable being the one at 3:20-3:51 bit to give some emotional moments to the characters as it'd most definitely be a really emotional fight with a lot of character moments. A segment that stands out quite a bit to me would be the 3:51-4:21 bit which makes great use of what I mentioned earlier with the "softer" tones used in conjunction with much heavier percussion yet that still sounds amazing. It's truly a wonderful mix that would reflect in the fight as both characters giving it their all, standing on equal footing as they are fueled with nothing but their determination and will to win. Surprised to note that there wasn't any segment that took You Say Run's main bit in this, would have worked great IMO. But the song is already wonderful so I'm not even complaining about this. Another really solid bit to note is the sheer intensity and epicness of the song. It almost feels like a final boss fight in a video game. Like a battle between two characters that you know by heart and that you want neither to perish in the end. This is reflected quite a bit in the 5:38-6:08 segment or the very ending (6:20-7:26) which takes the "chorus" of the song and gives it an absolutely grandiose amount of weight and power with an absurd amount of percussions for an epic finish that's totally memorable before finally and brutally ending just as the fight would end in one last final *Smash*. This theme is something straight out of a season finale and I can almost imagine the fight going with it. It's an absolutely top tier theme that I think can directly stand along the likes of Will of the Drill, This Heartless Empire and others of Brandon's most iconic songs and that not only because of it's impressive length but also because of its absolutely top tier quality. Truly wonderful job here.
Ah yeah, this matchup rocks! People want Deku vs Gon, but I honestly would prefer this to happen. Kinda weird that its Hinata is fighting Deku, since I would have thought it would just be against Izuru? Either way if Hinata becomes Izuru, then unfortunately for Izuku, but Despair will triumph over Hope. Edit: I think it would be a good ending if before Izuku dies, he passes on OFA to Hinata.
Now this is a fun matchup. Izuru Hajime's skillset is pretty bullshit, but the universes are kinda just different. And the best part is that the DR fandom is used to seeing beloved characters die.
OMFG TO THE COMMISSIONER THANK YOU!!!!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. personal favorite for both yes I baised. Also Brandon this slaps so hard I love it Deku FTW!!
Yeah….. it was a Danganronpa win at one point. Then MHA got massive power buffs and Izuku outstats massively, admittedly Hajime/Izuru’s many talents and hax makes it more close but Izuku should still win. The stat gap is just too massive. I personally wouldn’t mind either winning but it would be sad to see either die.
@@magnej1520 By stat, you mean power Strength & durability are the only edges Izuku has, the thing is those edges are bigger then Izuru’s edges. But Izuru still holds the majority of stats. Still making this really close even after MHA power creep and still could be a win for either side
Coming Soon: "A Heart Of Light" (Anne Boonchuy vs. Luz Noceda) (Amphibia vs. The Owl House) "Ghost Huntress" (Samus Aran vs. Nova Terra) (Metroid vs. Starcraft) "Twin Lions, I Reject" (Hinata Hyuga vs. Orihime Inoue) (Naruto vs. Bleach) "Steel Marvel" (Supergirl vs. Captain Marvel) (DC vs. Marvel)
Idk why my last comment was gone, maybe it thought it was spam? Anyways, this song is so good, and this matchup has a special place in my memories, since I wrote a battle fanfic with these two way back in 2018. Ah, and that was when I graduated college. Hope and Despair- and the meaning of a hero. That’s the story this track tells me.
The thing is Hajime godstomps with Kamekura thanks to the dwarf star feat in the novels and if that doesnt count, he scales above all Monokumas who destroyed all of civilization
What dwarf star feat is in the novels? I’m just genuinely curious since I’ve read most of the spins offs and one shots and don’t remember anything close to that. The monokumas also destroyed civilization over many years and with countless attacks, not literally one attack that destroyed civilization and concepts of government and hope. It’d also be illogical to say he’s superior to every Monokuma combined together as we don’t know how many there are and just because he scales above any known model by quite a bit doesn’t mean he scales to every known model combined together. Simply illogical. It’s like saying a Elephant is superior to every human combined because without weapons our punches can’t hurt it at all and it’s massively stronger than us.
@@spicyramen994 Hopes Peak researchers made a fucking dwarf star at one point and he destroyed it with the building. But idr the exact novel it happened in so mb And Monokuma took the world in one go under Junko's orders and it was a couple weeks at most Hince why it was normal until a literal week prior to DR 1 happening And it fucking took a week to set up lol And yeah its logical as fuck to say Izuru>Every Monokuma combined as he is a superweapon and its almost directly stated The elephant anology is retarded since it factors weaking the oposition and the Elephant wasnt specifically made to be unbeatable Its more similar to saying a nuke beats all humans, which is a given, no matter the equipment.
Red White Screw Blue (The Soldier (TF2) Vs Sarge (RVB) BOOM! Third Shot (The Sniper Vs Daisuke Jigen) Duo in Crime (Junkrat and Roadhog Vs Bebop and Rocksteady) Sailing the Thunderstorm (Ryuji Sakamoto (Skull) Vs Sailor Jupiter) Decaying Maiden (Tomura Shigaraki Vs Cinder Fall)
Izuru bullshit. You’d need to read spinoffs ( and watch DR3 anime) like Killer Killer, DR IF and DR0 to know hiw bonkers Hope’s Peak Ultimate talents are. And the Izuru project gave Hajime all of them. DR3 also confirms he keeps the talents even when he’s back to being himself (this is symbolized in one of his eyes being Izuru’s red, showing that Izuru is not completely gone after the New World Program)
Hey I’m the commissioner and I actually got pretty into the matchup after I commissioned, only knowing a little bit about the matchup before but fused Hajime has every talent in Danganronpa 1, 2, 3, Killer Killer, 0, IF, and UDG. He scales above characters like mukuro who are fast enough to perceive bullets and explosions as unmoving and stronger than Genocide Jack who could do serious damage to Big Bangonokuma which is anywhere between Multi city block and Town level. Midoriya probably wins and is definitely stronger at mountain but Hajime’s speed could be up to sub reletavistic making him faster. He also has ultimates that can hide his presence in plain sight, extreme luck, and ultimate analyst.
@@spicyramen994 Damn, honestly never knew that's how crazy the Izuru Project made him, thinking about it like that yeah, Midoriya definitely has to put in a lot of effort if he wants to come out on top
It seems like Izuku takes this really easily when you just look at the stats of each character, but then you look at some of the things every character in Danganronpa can do with there talents and scale that to Hajime and I think it gets a lot more clear who actually is going to win this, especially if you take a look at what Genocide Jack is capable of and scale that to Hajime.
Pretty sure Makoto wins against Phoenix due to a speed and power advantage Edit: I’m talking about an actual battle, not a trial. I agree that Phoenix wins from that standpoint
@@AdamTheMango105 uhhh nope. Phoenix is far more experienced, exposed more criminal masterminds, some of which are way smarter than Junko according to their lore. He's pretty lucky himself, and the Magatama guarentee's his win since he remained 7 years undefeated in poker because of that.
Would this consider Izuru as part of Hajime? If so this might not be quite so one-sided, considering Izuru's taking on of every other Ultimate Talent. Even assuming that this might not include V3, that still makes him the Ultimate Martial Artist, Ultimate Swordsman, Ultimate Analyst, Ultimate Soldier, Ultimate Programmer, Ultimate Mechanic, Ultimate Animal Breeder and, quite importantly, Ultimate Lucky Student. Assuming he can perform these talents as well as their original holders or better which, assuming his run-ins with Mukuro and Nagito, he can, that'd give him a pretty good shot given how far we've seen Nagito's luck go and the strategic advantage he might hold from the Ultimate Analyst talent. I'm not saying he'd win for sure, but I am saying he might pose a decent challenge, using his strategy and luck to get Izuku to hurt himself.
Yeah this assumes Fused Hajime or Hajime at the end of the series when he has Izuru’s powers. If you look at the pinned comment i went into pretty deep and I agree he stands a good chance
@@spicyramen994 Yeah. Personally I'd say it's Ultimate Lucky Student that really sells him as having a chance, because it means that he does have something semi-supernatural on his side to help him combat Midoriya's quirk.
Sounds like Might U which is a slower more somber version of You Say Run for Deku's half of the theme. th-cam.com/video/3jf_Z68c4LQ/w-d-xo.html I'd also say a combination of Locked Rampage and Dandandanganronpa for Hinata's half which makes sense if you know the story.
Why is Danganronpa so popular in the vs community? I'm not judging, just surprised. I didn't think that type of game would lend itself to vs debate too much
Hard to say but it could be because, despite the main games being visual novels, there are actually really good feats for a lot of characters. The only ones that really work for a DB tho would be Monokuma, Genocide Jack, Hajime/Izuru, and maybe maybe Mukuro. Monokuma has a really good matchup against Korosensie and Hajime has this matchup. Genocide Jack really is creative and Can have a couple of different matchups like against Launch, which also has a commission, or even Sven or Toga Himiko. It could also be because we know that a lot of characters in series can be really strong and good at fighting but the series never gives us really good full length fight scenes, which is to be expected. Maybe it leaves fans wanting more fighting related stuff for the seemingly more powerful characters like Izuru and Genocide Jack? That’s my guess.
So from what I gathered from the comments Deku has the strength, combat experience, stamina, and durability advantage. Izuru / Hajime has skill, luck, intelligence, and overall hax advantage (Speed is nearly equal though there is an argument for Izuru being slightly faster but I doubt it comes down to that for the win) In my mind, while Izuru gives Deku some trouble especially with his luck and intelligence, he can't really compete against Deku's raw power and persistence considering that Deku at his peak can pretty much one-shot him at any point. That and Izuru doesn't really have a good way to kill Deku (because Deku has fought people way stronger than what the Danganronpa cast can dish out), at least not without some way to get Deku off him so he could possibly make something to kill Deku. So while it's close on paper, Deku wins imo
I mean Izuru’s intelligence should make him realize if he cant win a close combat battle, then he needs to play long range game, and he can easily invent stuff on the fly given the various intellectual talents he has. Plus he can analyze things on an insane level and mess with Midoriya’s biology. Also Izuru’s luck hax are insane, if Nagito can summon a meteor with his luck, Im pretty sure Hajime can do similar feats
@@namesdontmattergaming2756 it really comes down to hax vs power, kind of like Jotaro vs Kenshiro. The problem is that, like Jotaro, Izuru has way to keep Deku at bay but at any point can and will get one-shot and his intelligence will absolutely let him know. It's a matter of Deku being able to close the distance and if Izuru can fend him off before Deku closes the distance, if he even needs to get close at all. Deku has ranged options at his disposal and better ways of moving around in the fight with abilities like his air pressure attacks, dark whip, and float. And yes, while Izuru's luck is a big win-con for him, that is really his only saving grace here. Despite the numerous invention type skills that Izuru has under his belt, nothing in the Danganronpa universe so far has been made or can be built to put down Deku. Especially when Deku still had the durability advantage here fighting villains that have seen worse than just possibly city block or building level Danganronpa attacks. The most that Izuru really needs to do is just find ways to play keep-away and use his luck to just somehow kill Deku without being close to him, which like with Jotaro vs Keshiro, I don't see happening
@@yesimnotcreative6312 Considering their speeds are pretty equal, and Izuru is better at reactionary movements, im pretty sure he can avoid Midoriya for awhile. Plus you’re seriously downplaying all of his skills, for one he’s easily city-multi city buster not city block(big difference), and has all of humanities skills in him. He could easily use espionage, future sight, summoning of the dead(which is canon in danganronpa, and i doubt midoriya has a counter to spirits), literally could disguise himself as anyone and Midoriya wouldnt know, etc. Jotaro vs Kenshiro is nothing like this matchup, because while Midoriya definitely has strength and durability, izuru has hax, speed, and intelligence and combat prowess. Jotaro vs Kenshiro was already falsely done by them anyways, and Kenshiro had his own hax on top of his insane stats compared to Jotaro. Izuku only has his abilities to rely on, which he hasnt even fully mastered and is limited to the previous users of One for All, while Izuru could be compared to every skill and concept known to humanity in one. If anything Izuku vs Hajime is more like if you asked “Who’d win Samson or Solomon.”
@@namesdontmattergaming2756 Izuru still has a problem, he still needs to find a way to kill Deku before Deku kills him. Like you said, Deku still takes the strength and durability advantage and speed is nearly equal (adding on that Deku has abilities like Full Cowl and Fa Jin boosts Deku's speed) where Izuru has intelligence, hax, and skill. Izuru needs a reliable way to basically instakill Deku to win. With speed being nearly equalized, Deku has strength and durability. Those are kind of the big three factors in a versus debate, and obviously hax is the secret 4 the factor. It's just that yes, Izuru has way more shit to throw and use in this battle, a lot of things that he has is not going to be able to compete against Deku, especially after later chapters of MHA keep showing that Deku is becoming a more powerful opponent and overcoming his weaknesses like having ways to use One for All without taking damage to himself. From what I know about Izuru is that he ha the powers of Ultimates from Danganronpa 2 and prior since i don't think he's alive/ around in V3. All that I do know is that he is the smarter one in the fight here because of his analytical thinking, just a tiny bit faster (but not too much that he outclasses Deku), has more skill using actual material arts, his luck gives him somewhat probability manipulation (but I'm not sure if he can really control it, I think it's more of a passive ability), can invent things on the fly, has more ways to play sneaky, and that's it. That's all I can think of for Izuru This is what I think this fight comes down to (in my head): While Izuru has the edge in hax and intelligence, the abilities that he has do not give him enough to kill Deku. The best he can do is to avoid Deku when he can and wait him out. Deku, while having less abilities, still has enough that he has more of a reliable method to kill Izuru before Izuru can kill him. Since Deku is about mountain to island level (if you're being generous) then there really isn't much that Izuru can do beat Deku in a 1v1. Izuru needs to rely on his hax and intelligence to keep him in the fight when Deku's level of power and durability makes a large portion of Izuru's skills not matter all too much. This isn't to say that Izuru *can't* win because I do think he can in certain circumstances, but more often than not, I see Deku winning this because of his stats being higher than what Izuru can dish out (Also I realize that I definitely left a lot of stuff out for Deku as well like Danger Sense being a way to help himself out, but I'm not a mha fan, I just think he wins from what I can gather)
Just trying to test myself in remembering all of Class 1-A’s names, cause Japanese names all look the same to me, no offence, I just struggle to learn character names like these, and while I’m at it, I’ll try and come up with some matchups for each and every one of them, whether that be my favourite matchup or the only ones they’ve got Denki Kaminari VS Pichu (Pokémon) Eijiro Kirishima VS Greed (Fullmetal Alchemist) or Elfman (Fairy Tail) Fumikage Tokoyami VS Filia (Skullgirls) or Shikamaru Nara (Naruto) Hanta Sero VS Jolyne Cujoh (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) Izuku Midoriya VS Akko Kagari (Little Witch Academia) *out of all of Deku’s matchups - cause I know he’s got a lot - this is my favourite* Katsuki Bakugo VS Shinra Kusakabe (Fire Force) *same as above* Koji Koda VS Fluttershy (My Little Pony) Kyoka Jiro VS Lucio (Overwatch) Mashirao Ojiro VS Sun Wukong (RWBY) Mezo Shoji VS Octodad (Octodad) Mina Ashido VS Shinobu Kocho (Demon Slayer) Minoru Mineta VS Scanlan Shorthalt (Critical Role: Legend of Vox Machina) Momo Yaoyorozu VS Tenten (Naruto) Ochaco Uraraka VS Kat (Gravity Rush) Rikido Sato VS Captain Diabetes (South Park) Shoto Todoroki VS Weiss Schnee (RWBY) *he’s already had his best matchup and this is the only other one that’s somewhat decent* Tenya Iida VS A-Train (Vought Comics) Toru Hagakure VS Invisible Woman (Marvel Comics) or Invisi-Bill (WordGirl) Tsuyu Asui VS Toad (Marvel Comics) Yuga Aoyama VS Mettaton (Undertale)
In a nutshell the main characters each have an "ultimate" abilty, I.e., they are the best in the world at that talent, and Izuru's whole thing is that he has *every* ultimate ability, but stronger versions of those. Some characters in the series have crazy physical feats in the novels and in the spinoff game, so Izuru should scale stronger than them
Lore. There are characters who's taken hita from city level giant robots and there's a character that moves so fast bullets and explosions move at a snail's pace to them. Said character also got blitzed and one shotted by Hajime in the anime.
Yeah, they’re the same people. He was going for post Neo Program Hajime; the Hajime that retains all of Izuru while still remaining his Hajime consciousness
I mean that's a pretty toxic way to look at it, as Deku has been stronger then Bakugo for quite a while, however Bakugo was more skilled in combat. Deku without hurting himself has been on par since 8% and even climbed ahead when he could use 20% for short bursts. Bakugo has been playing catch up since the OH arc whether or not he realized it.
Hmmm this one isn't as one sided as many people think it is. Many factors make this a very high diff win for either one. In fact, it could possibly be a stalemate
Don’t forget Izuru has every talent. Including those who have single handle taken down malitas or fought the worlds stronger martial artist. Experience unfortunately goes to Izuru as he has the experience of every talent ever. Easily 100+ people if not 200+

But when it comes to speed Izuru takes it as he can match up with Ultimate Soldier who can perceive a bullet and react with plenty of time to spare (Kinda like a time freeze moment). To be honest I don't see Midoriya fighting Hinata unless it's Kamukura, and I feel Kamukura is on a level, while weaker, similar to all for one, as for Hinata fighting could be if the battle become more of a Midoriya trying to bring back Hinata after realizing during battle of his struggle, but if so I feel Midoriya would win even if it's the white haired hajime Hinata, if not I really think Kamukura izuru should have the upper hand in this battle even with how broken izuku Midoriya is

You might be surprised to know that This Heartless Empire (Darth Sidious VS Lord Xehanort) is actually much longer than this one at just over 11 minutes long. Unless you're referring to how long ago this was commissioned, in which case I have no idea.
There are currently 3 commissioned OSTs that Brandon made which are longer than this: 1-This Heartless Empire, 11:31, 2-Fateful Encounter, 10:36, 3-RatedAForAwesome, 10:28. So nope, this doesn't take the record and neither did Zero Gravity Rush. However those two are definitely in the higher echelons of the longest OSTs that Brandon did. If I were to continue the ranking a bit, it would look like that: 4-Symbol Of Hope, 7:40, 5-Zealous Blades, 6:20, 6-Zero Gravity Rush, 5:59. And then there's a few OSTs that gravitate around the 5:50 mark. So yeah, those two OSTs are definitely on the upper echelons of the OSTs Brandon did.

We’ve never really directly talked before, TBH. I’ve kinda just been putting in some commissions I have ideas for. From the sound of, it sounds like you didn’t get too many of them.
I actually have to give this to Hajime; While One for All does give Deku more raw power, he's just....not a tenth as smart or skilled as Hajime with his Ultimate Hope abilities. All the power in the world is irrelevant when you can barely hit your enemy. Hell Ultimate Analyst + Ultimate Luck inherently counter Deku since both would make him nearly untouchable.
I'm sorry, do you not know how smart Deku is? Deku is literally so smart he actually sabotages himself by overanalyzing. I'm not even kidding, he's also skilled enough that he was able to keep pace with a far more experienced and combat focused Bakugo at a level playing field in terms of stats. Deku progresses in skills rapidly, also not much luck can do to protect you when the entire city block you are standing in just explodes from air force and there's nothing to protect you.
@@Ninjaman9323 Disregarding ultimate luck Izuru v Deku is close-ish (without luck Deku wins). Deku takes it in strength, around multi city block while Izuru is about town level. But when it comes to speed Izuru takes it as he can match up with Ultimate Soldier who can perceive a bullet and react with plenty of time to spare (Kinda like a time freeze moment). Izuru has every talent if 74 classes, 15 people in each class so a little over 1,000 peoples experiences. While they may just be people with “talents” these talents have show greater stats then most characters in mha, besides in strength. Now factoring I’m Ultimate Luck. Nagito is perceived to be the luckiest of all but Izuru was shown to be boundlessly luckier. Nagito used his luck to turn any situation into his favor, planned or unplanned. With Izuru having Ultimate Analyst in him who is capable of determining any situation, Izuru with hacks alone is barely strong enough to win. Now I’m a favor for midoriya. His strength alone can likely one shot Izuru. But we know he would never do this. Midoriya never tries to kill anyone he fights and never throws his strongest attack first. Because of this I am lead to believe Izuru would barely win. Hope this reply answers your question.
@@alexandermuniz2039 city Block is Deku's absolute low end, he's been able to do that since he could use 20% also Deku has perceiving and reacting to bullets beaten in spades especially given outrunning Nagant's bullets and reacting to them on general.
@@Ninjaman9323 while midoriya at high percents is absolutely above multi city block level we both are aware that midoriya cannot maintain these high levels. I am aware of that with midoriya as well but Izuru has shown that on a much more complex level. And according to abs Battle wiki 20% is equivalent to town level. Not multi city block. Very big difference.
I hope they do all might and homelander the all might is infinitely more powerful than homelander but homelander is faster more resistant and with a broader arsenal of powers so I like to think that this fight would not be as serious as it seems
Ok so I’m seeing a lot of “Izuru/Haiime should win” and I can understand why people say it because the highest calcs come in at town level (apparently) but Deku should be way stronger and I know “luck and analytics would let Izuru clap” but what do they matter if he can’t scratch the guy, I mean what can knives, guns, fists, swords, and what not do against a guy who eats that shit for breakfast and I know “if there is a chance in hell that Izuru wins he will win but I don’t see that chance ever presenting itself because of the pure skill and power that he possesses so unless someone can tell me that chance then imma just say that Deku should win
Deku is far stronger (mountain vs town) that’s certainly true However Izuru is actually more skilled. Having over a decade worth of multiple martial arts. Deku is more experienced having fought a lot more tho. Izuru should scale above Mukuro who’s shown sub relativistic speeds and is overall far smarter Plus that with his haxes (Ultimate analyist, luck, clairvoyance) and you got a really close fight
@@AdamTheMango105analytic and clairvoyance is useless against someone who has super human powers, izuru with no matter how much luck he has isnt surviving a blow from the likes of saitama or getting blasted reality warping attacks from the solver surfer
And ultimate luck
That dosent matter since the stat and experience advantage is way to vast for his hax to matter.
@@restaurantworried8031 Especially when Deku has some pretty helpful tools like Black Whip, Fa Jin, and Dangersense.
@@kurimc.mystic5341 Ultimate Luck is boundless unlike physical talents. That's one reason Makoto made it through DanganRonpa.
Though Hajime scales to town level surprisingly
Speed- oddly I’m pretty sure Hajime scales to FTL putting him faster
Intelligence- Izuru easily, Deku is smart but Izuru in particular is the ultimate analyst, mechanic, inventor, teacher and programmer, he could easily
Skill- Izuru but only slightly, Izuku has been seen in more fights sure. But Izuru is the ultimate analyst, he could definitely adapt to Izuku’s fighting style. Plus already knowing multiple forms of martial arts
What really makes this close is Izuru’s haxes, having the luck of Nagito, the analysis skills of Junko, and just having every single talent means that Izuru is basically prepared for anything Izuku throws at him
But Izuku needs one good hit to win and given how both are melee fighters, that would make it easier for Izuku. But Izuru would probably know this. But still he needs ONE hit
I’m genuinely stumped on who wins
@@AdamTheMango105 I love how much detail you put in and how fair you treated both characters. Izuku needing only a single hit to win I 100% agree with, though izuru's analytical skills are beyond superhuman, essentially giving him precognition.

@@chosenofgaia2511 I v I isn't the only DR matchup deserving an episode.
A segment that stands out quite a bit to me would be the 3:51-4:21 bit which makes great use of what I mentioned earlier with the "softer" tones used in conjunction with much heavier percussion
yet that still sounds amazing.

As much as I love Hajime and DR, I'm a bit confused about how he's able to stack up to Midoriya if anyone could explain to me ^^;
Izuru bullshit.
@@bassgs435 Pretty sure Full Cowl could probably counter Izuru, like, HARD.

Idea: Imposters Among Us (The Imposter VS The Thing) [Among Us VS The Thing]
Deku FTW
What powers does Hinata have to fight against Midoriya?
He basically has every ultimate talent as Izuru Kamakura, and goes super sayain at the end of DR2.
Hajime is just composite Danganronpa but upscaled, basically.
Every talent, skill, title, or ability known to humanity in one
I was hoping for Joker vs Monokuma but this is great nonetheless.
EDIT:Joker from DC comics, not Persona 5
Joker slaps the verse
So from what I gathered from the comments
Deku has the strength, combat experience, stamina, and durability advantage. Izuru / Hajime has skill, luck, intelligence, and overall hax advantage
(Speed is nearly equal though there is an argument for Izuru being slightly faster but I doubt it comes down to that for the win)
In my mind, while Izuru gives Deku some trouble especially with his luck and intelligence, he can't really compete against Deku's raw power and persistence considering that Deku at his peak can pretty much one-shot him at any point.
That's all I can think of for Izuru
This is what I think this fight comes down to (in my head):
While Izuru has the edge in hax and intelligence, the abilities that he has do not give him enough to kill Deku.
This isn't to say that Izuru *can't* win because I do think he can in certain circumstances, but more often than not, I see Deku winning this because of his stats being higher than what Izuru can dish out
(Also I realize that I definitely left a lot of stuff out for Deku as well like Danger Sense being a way to help himself out, but I'm not a mha fan, I just think he wins from what I can gather)
Midoriya Goes Berserker Rage and wins.
Cover art and title great and the track captures both series. Not my preferred Izuku match but ok nonetheless.

Denki Kaminari VS Pichu (Pokémon)
Eijiro Kirishima VS Greed (Fullmetal Alchemist) or Elfman (Fairy Tail)
Fumikage Tokoyami VS Filia (Skullgirls) or Shikamaru Nara (Naruto)
Hanta Sero VS Jolyne Cujoh (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Izuku Midoriya VS Akko Kagari (Little Witch Academia) *out of all of Deku’s matchups - cause I know he’s got a lot - this is my favourite*
Katsuki Bakugo VS Shinra Kusakabe (Fire Force) *same as above*
Koji Koda VS Fluttershy (My Little Pony)
Kyoka Jiro VS Lucio (Overwatch)
Mashirao Ojiro VS Sun Wukong (RWBY)
Mezo Shoji VS Octodad (Octodad)
Mina Ashido VS Shinobu Kocho (Demon Slayer)
Minoru Mineta VS Scanlan Shorthalt (Critical Role: Legend of Vox Machina)
Momo Yaoyorozu VS Tenten (Naruto)
Ochaco Uraraka VS Kat (Gravity Rush)
Rikido Sato VS Captain Diabetes (South Park)
Shoto Todoroki VS Weiss Schnee (RWBY) *he’s already had his best matchup and this is the only other one that’s somewhat decent*
Tenya Iida VS A-Train (Vought Comics)
Toru Hagakure VS Invisible Woman (Marvel Comics) or Invisi-Bill (WordGirl)
Tsuyu Asui VS Toad (Marvel Comics)
Yuga Aoyama VS Mettaton (Undertale)

Never played danganropa, but isnt it a crime solving game? How do the characters have any feats?
In a nutshell the main characters each have an "ultimate" abilty, I.e., they are the best in the world at that talent, and Izuru's whole thing is that he has *every* ultimate ability, but stronger versions of those. Some characters in the series have crazy physical feats in the novels and in the spinoff game, so Izuru should scale stronger than them
It's a trash game

Lore. There are characters who's taken hita from city level giant robots and there's a character that moves so fast bullets and explosions move at a snail's pace to them.
Said character also got blitzed and one shotted by Hajime in the anime.
Personally I think when it comes to character, I think it would be better to be Izuru Kamakura vs Midoriya, just speaking characterwise.
I think that's what the commissioner was going for. Its just that they didn't put Izuru's name for spoiler reasons.
Yeah, they’re the same people. He was going for post Neo Program Hajime; the Hajime that retains all of Izuru while still remaining his Hajime consciousness
I thought this was Izuku VS Hinata from Naruto
Given the state of the MHA fandom, they want Deku to lose just so they can feel better after Deku became stronger than Bakugo
I can't say for the rest of the fandom but for me personally I actually want Deku to win

This is dope. Izuku should win since the stat and experience advantage makes the luck boost negligible.

Because of this I am lead to believe Izuru would barely win. Hope this reply answers your question.

I think this now takes the record for Yates’ longest commissioned theme, beating Zero Gravity Rush.
You might be surprised to know that This Heartless Empire (Darth Sidious VS Lord Xehanort) is actually much longer than this one at just over 11 minutes long. Unless you're referring to how long ago this was commissioned, in which case I have no idea.
@@KingOfTheSkies-ob3no I’m not referring to that. It’s the length of the theme itself.
@@roserave5632 Okay thanks for clarifying.
There are currently 3 commissioned OSTs that Brandon made which are longer than this:
1-This Heartless Empire, 11:31,
2-Fateful Encounter, 10:36,
3-RatedAForAwesome, 10:28.
So nope, this doesn't take the record and neither did Zero Gravity Rush. However those two are definitely in the higher echelons of the longest OSTs that Brandon did. If I were to continue the ranking a bit, it would look like that:
4-Symbol Of Hope, 7:40,
5-Zealous Blades, 6:20,
6-Zero Gravity Rush, 5:59.
And then there's a few OSTs that gravitate around the 5:50 mark. So yeah, those two OSTs are definitely on the upper echelons of the OSTs Brandon did.
