Sad statistics but the americans are proud of their FREEDOM! Freedom to do what exactly? Die young? Get mugged? Pay exorbitant fees for healthcare? All in the name of freedom? You guys just go on with the good and informative videos on your travel throughout the world.
The US has the largest prison population, privatized/for-profit prisons, and law enforcement without accountability (Qualified Immunity). When I was living there, I didn't just worried about street thugs, and I was even more afraid of their law enforcement! Also look up: Civil Asset Forfeiture
There is Blondie in China, she's an Australian lady been and out of China for many years. She lived and traveled around China by herself and she never looked scared at all, even to remote places. There's a bunch of South Korean ladies who (travel alone) do vlogs in China when they visit during the 144 hours visa thing. There's also Because I'm Lizzy and Katherine's Journey to the East. These are some of single females in China that I follow here. ☺
China is not 100% safe, no country is completely safe. But as a Chinese born and raised in China, my country is really getting better. I remember when I was young, my parents still told me not to play too late at night. But as I get older, I don't know when China's security will become better and better. It may be related to having enough cameras, as cameras provide us with a sense of security. I hope you have a pleasant time in China.
@@Anonymous------ Chinese people are not afraid of cameras, only criminals are afraid. On the contrary, China has a positive attitude towards cameras, and most Chinese people love our government and country.
I barely get emotional over most of things now, given that Im already in my 30s. Chairman Mao, however, shall always get me to shed tears. As I grow old, the more history I learn the more I admire Mao. He was undoubtedly the greatest politician, revolutionary leader of all time.
Mao was a good leader despite many bad rumors trying to smear him, he saved and protected China, today Xi makes China great again. Some haters blame Mao for the famine but the real fact is China had always suffered famines due to pestilence or bad weather every few decades during its thousands of years of history. At least in Mao Period China was much better than India.
@@Anonymous------ Mao is China's biggest traitor. He colluded with a hostile foreign power the Soviet Union. The first thing he did when the Communist seized power in 1949 is to concede territories to the Soviet Union. He also colluded with Japan during the Sino-Japanese War. ChongQing was ariel bombed over 200 times, Yanan was bombed only one time during the early stage of the war. The Communist Party today won't tell you this because to discredit Mao is to delegitimize the Communist Party.
I live in a smaller Chinese city and I never ever lock my car. ( big BYD SUV) The key is even inside and you can just start it by pushing the start button.
@@XpertGame1 No one is stupid enough to steal a car in broad daylight when security camera is everywhere. Normally you won't feel the presense of these cameras but a bad guy planning to do anything bad would definitely feel he's in no place to do that.
虽然中国是安全的,但是建议来中国旅游的朋友还是要保管好自己物品,不要随意丢下。防止被人拿走,拿走的人可能以为是被人丢弃不要的物品。Although China is safe, it is suggested that the friends who travel to China should take care of their belongings and not leave them at will. Prevents being taken away by someone who might think they are being discarded.
And the way around is Chinese must be very careful when traveling to other countries including the western countries. Chinese are so used to safety in China like ladies walking home alone in the late night, leaving their bag, cellphone, laptop on the restaurant table and going to the toilet as long as 30 minutes and returning back to the table and everything is still there. Not going to be the same in other countries. Never assume what you can do in China you can do the same in other countries especially western countries. There are not safe like China especially ladies walking around alone at night. Don't bring your habit when traveling to other countries.
Young Chinese have also become easy pickpocket targets in the West for the same reasons, they haven't developed 'stranger danger' radar. It is indeed way, way more unsafe in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, France etc right now.
@@wc862 , because they have this naive thinking that if. they are safe in China, in the western countries will be safer. They might have mistaken that western people are more civilized and culture people. But the actual fact is the other way round.
Nice video!❤China is super safe compared to a lot of countries, but there are still some incidents happening there. I am Chinese and proud of my country. Thanks for the video and enjoy your stay there❤
How should I say this? 🤔Cameras do make you safer and track criminals after the fact, faster apprehension of the culprit. In NYC, we have cameras in the metro, Times Square, etc. but some people still do the crimes regardless. Sigh...😮💨 Just this week, a guy set a homeless woman on fire in the metro. 😢 So, I think cameras definitely help, but it's not just because of them that crimes in China are so much lesser than certain other countries. I think it's the people and gov't working together, maybe.
You're right, cameras are just one of the factors contributing to social stability. The most important thing is the national system and efforts. The Chinese government is indeed considering the stability of people's lives. As a Chinese who has never been abroad, it is hard to believe that one cannot go out alone at night. It is normal to go out 24 hours a day in China. When I first went abroad to Thailand, my tour guide told me not to go out at night, which surprised me.
Then we need to dig into why they don't fear to be caught... The life in prison is better than being out? Or they just get a slap on the wrist everytime getting caught?
@@Anonymous------this is true. I reckon I’m most likely to get scammed when buying online because I’m being silly and not reading properly (self inflicted scam) but the online platform are pretty good at dealing with those issues if you have the time and patience lol
U actually didn’t have to throw your drinks away, the security guard would ask u to take a sip in front of him that’s it’s a safe drink, then you are good to go with it in the metro
While you are in China, it will be great if you can do a Harbin Ice Festival video. Because it is so beautiful. I think Harbin is in the north of China.
100% I do that all the time. Never had an issue with my helmet. I once left my keys in right at the subway station entrance, we went by our day as normal, and on our way back we were like “-where is the key, you had the key. -No you.” Surprise, they e-bike had had the key for like 12 hours in 😂😂😂😂😂😂 found it were we left it. (If anyone took it they at least put it back haha)

China has made tremendous progress in the past 40 years. It is not perfect, but it is not as the Western media has said, for example, that the issues of Xinjiang and Tibet are full of lies.
Actually, the inconvenience of losing something in China is the trip rather than the item getting lost forever. I once had to traveled across the city to the last stop because I left my phone on the bus and it got taken to the Lost and Found in their office 😂 Bus packed and everything, no one took it home.
@@OTWD_yt It's not a good idea though since the bag wasn't that much visible. For instance, I often overlook the basket while unlocking the bikes. However, if you left the bag even visible on the open footpath, it would still be there or someone would keep it at the safer place for you.
What an amazing video. The crime rate in the English statistics is made by the U.S(and other western media), which purposely makes U.S lower and China higher. the prisoners in The U.S is 5.6 times higher than China's, but China has 4.1 times of population to the U.S. The U.S actually has more than 20 times of crime rate than China. By the way, are you going to Harbin Ice Festival in China? I just watched it yesterday on TH-cam, It's really awesome! Unfortunately that video is so short. I really wish I can go to Harbin city myself. Always like your video.
If you have a 100 yuan banknote, you will find that the figure on it is our greatest leader of New China. The poet is just one of his many identities, his hometown is here.We have great, great respect for him.He is very selflessly devoted to the people.
Europe is also very dangerous too : 1. My camera was stolen when I was in Barcelona. 2. One morning in Paris, I came out to buy breakfast for my family. One man approached me and tried to measure the length of my shirt. I knew he wanted to steal thing from my pocket.
There are thieves and criminals in China just like everywhere else, but China is now a much safer place than most, wasn't this safe 20 years or more ago, pickpockets and thieves were very common back then. The reason your bag was still there is because normal people don't look at the parked bikes, they mind their own business.
Dear foreign friends, I am Chinese and I look forward to you not being blinded by the lies and information described by the West. You should go to China with your own eyes to understand the true historical facts, go to the Chinese library and among the Chinese people to take a look, ask the Chinese people, instead of blindly accepting deliberate lies fabricated by some people to slander China and Mao Zedong in the media of countries that do not understand China, especially in anti China news media. First of all, I would like to remind you that a large number of anti China, anti Mao Zedong, and anti Communist people, along with their ancestors, are bad people. They are all warlords, landlords, and evil gentry groups that were driven to Taiwan by the Chinese people. They enslaved and oppressed the Chinese people in China, and were defeated by the Chinese people. Mao Zedong led Chinese farmers and workers to resist the enslavement and oppression of the warlord government of the Republic of China, and ultimately defeated the warlord group led by Chiang Kai shek, and established the People's Republic of China in 1949. Remember, the republic is a republic. Foreign friends, if you are interested in China, you must go to China to get to know it for yourself. Don't believe the western media. I can tell you directly that about 90% of the news you see on TH-cam, Facebook and Twitter about the CPC and Mao Zedong are anti China and anti Communist Chinese who immigrated from Taiwan in the early days. They were fabricated by the followers of Chiang Kai shek in the Republic of China because they hate Mao Zedong for leading the Chinese people to defeat them. We look forward to your buying a bilingual edition of Selected Works of Mao Zedong on Taobao. This book, which has been called the "people's bible" by the Chinese people, contains the speeches made by Mao Zedong in the national newspapers during the period from 1926 to 1949 when he led the Chinese people to wage the People's Democratic War against the warlord government of the Republic of China oppressing the Chinese people. The contents of the book, including the contents of the civil war between the CPC and the Government of the Republic of China, can clearly understand the real people's leader Mao Zedong and the history of the CPC from its establishment to today as the world's largest party. You know, China has always been suppressed and smeared by the West led by the United States. The trade war, technology war, etc. initiated by the United States against China are all part of the anti China movement. It is difficult for you to hear and see the correct historical facts about China and Mao Zedong in the media under the discourse hegemony controlled by the West. Mao Zedong holds the highest position in the hearts of the Chinese people. He is deeply loved and supported by the Chinese people because he saved them. However, on the contrary, Mao Zedong was also deeply hated by the warlords, landlords, and evil gentry of the Republic of China. During the government era led by Chiang Kai shek, about 95% of the Chinese people were slaves under the rule of Chiang Kai shek's warlord government. For generations, the Chinese people were enslaved and oppressed by government organizations composed of warlords, bureaucrats, landlords, and some gangsters. The Chinese people were enslaved and oppressed by these warlords and landlords, and their food and clothing were not covered. They were slaves for generations, begging and selling children and women along the streets, being driven to work by landlords, and having no land of their own. All the land was occupied by warlords and landlords under the rule of the government of the Republic of China. If you have been to India, Pakistan, or Afghanistan, Laos, you will see children begging on the streets, and in the era of the Republic of China, about 95% of Chinese people were like this. At the same time, there was also Japan's invasion and massacre of China. In such a criminal era, it was Mao Zedong who led the CPC, led poor workers and farmers, and led students and teachers to form a people's democratic revolutionary struggle against the oppression of the warlord government of the Republic of China. In the end, the warlord government of the Republic of China was defeated. The number of these warlord landlords in China was about 8 million, and a large part of them fled to Taiwan. Then, they immigrated from Taiwan to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries, with many Chinese. The earliest Chinese immigrants to countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom were mostly from Taiwan, and their ancestors were warlord landlords and their descendants. These people fabricated false history and lies in Western media, smearing and slandering China. This is the earliest Chinese, and also the terrifying voices about China that your ancestors or you often hear in Western media, mostly from these people. I look forward to you all maintaining a questioning attitude. If possible, please come to China to personally investigate and research, and do not believe any lies fabricated by the media. This is not history at all. Mao Zedong established the People's Republic of China, and the Chinese people were no longer slaves, but became masters of the country. Mao Zedong did not enslave and oppress the Chinese people like the government of the Republic of China did, but instead allowed the Chinese people to go to school for free, receive medical treatment for free, and have housing for free. The people will no longer be displaced, the Chinese people will no longer be unable to afford medical care, and the Chinese people will no longer lose the right to access knowledge because they do not have the money to go to school. All of them will receive free education. Mao Zedong did everything for the Chinese people. Excuse me, Biden, can we provide free housing for the American people? Or use houses to turn people into mortgage slaves? Why do Chinese people love Mao Zedong so much? Because Mao Zedong loved the people more than his biological parents. During Mao Zedong's era, the people's government built houses and distributed them to the people for free, free of charge. People's education, free of charge, and free of charge, are all borne by the state. Everything is for the people. If such a people's leader is smeared and slandered by bad people, as a Chinese, even a foreigner, if your president loves you and your people so much, builds a house, gives it to you for free, reduces the burden of people's lives, provides free education, and does not charge any money... Would you not love it? Natural love. However, such a true people's leader, the People's Republic of China, which is now China, once appeared, and his name was Mao Zedong. However, it is no longer the case now. China has returned to the path of capitalism, and these welfare arrests have been stolen by capitalists. The Chinese people have become slaves to housing and high interest loans again...., I look forward to foreign friends who can learn about a human leader Mao Zedong with their hearts. Thank you all
If you are in Changsha, Hunan, you can also consider going to Shaoshan, Mao Zedong's former residence, because it is a bit remote and foreigners may rarely go there😊
I keep seeing so many construction crane! Can you show us or point out every construction building in your next video? It is insane the amount of new building sprouting like mushrooms
I think the best is that life is full of experience with low cost, so people can really enjoy their life. In western, electric bill, rent, travel cost are huge, literally if u want to visit night market, u can hang around without scare of any threats. So safe.
Hi, I'm glad you guys have really good time in China. One thing I have to let you guys know is that the statue you saw in orange island is the most important person in China. He is not only a poet. He is our greatest chairman.
How many thousand times would you be lied by the gov in America than in China. What would more likely be punished for corpoate crimes in the US or in China.

@@OTWD_yt , I am an Asian that lived in US before. Have traveled to India many times attending, participating exhibitions in a few cities in India. Travel to China widely to many different provinces. So I know the differences between these 3 countries. Infrastructure development, public transportation, cleanliness, food, safety, friendliness of the people in these 3 countries. The other 2 are not on the same level as China to compare with. To see China with your 2 eyes is the best way to know how much western People's have been lied by the western MSM. Some people attack China's surveillance cameras, but the density of cameras in London, England, is the highest in the world. Is London safe? If cameras bring safety, why object? What private thing would you like to do in public?
Hi Reanne and Ben. FYI, Mao Zedong is more than just a poet. He's one of the founders of the Communist Party of China and the 1st Chairman of the People's Republic of China. You are at his home province.
Along with the stats drop at the beginning NOW!! Put into the context that China HAS 5X the amount of people of the US!!!! Chinese population =1.5BLN v 0.3BLN or 300M = US population!
Saying "Young Mao Zedong, a poet" is like saying .... Let's say.... "Winston Churchill worked in the UK Parliament" (Probably better examples, but you get my drift?) "Chairman Mao" is probably a better search.
There is very good TH-cam Vloger who always make videos by herself. The name is Little Chinese Everywhere. I think she will give you some ideas about some new and different Province in China which you guys can visit.
There were so many people gathering around Chairman Mao's status because Dec 26 is his birthday. It was his 131th birthday were he still alive. He was sincerely admired and appreciated by a lot of Chinese because he sacrificed a lot in establishing the modern China. He lost his entire family except one son over the civil war time with Nationalist Party. His only son, however, was killed in mission during the Korean War. He was survived with no family member except a step wife when he passed away in 1976.

Travelling in China nowadays feels super safe to me, I dare say almost like in Japan. Sad to say but I feel safer travelling in China than in my own country in SE Asia. I don’t worry about pickpockets or thieves when I carry/sling my bag on my back, unlike in Europe where I have to carry my bag on my front like an idiot and constantly check on the zips etc. In fact for one of my trips to China this year, i was in a crowded park & there was a brown paper bag left on one of the sitting areas where people were just enjoying their coffees. It was left there for so long. Because I was sitting quite close to it, when I stood up & leave, someone actually called me out and asked if that was my bag which I had forgotten. And when I said no, everyone was like back minding their own business. So you be your own judge as to which culture works.

2 months ago, my sister forgot her laptop on ebike at bus stastion in Tianjin, when she realized on bus and hurry back after 1 hour, the laptop was still there.
This was a great test, but, if you put the bag in the basket of a share-bicycle then other people could not use it. This is not a good manner. If everyone just leaves their stuff by the share- bikes, what will happen?!😮
I love your Chinese visa series! Can I ask where you applied for your visas? The last time me Amy husband went to China we got them in Hong Kong. Is that still a thing?
Hmmmm I don’t recommend you put your bag in a shared bike’s basket. It has been twice that I used a shared bike with something in the basket. I won’t take it away because it doesn’t belong to me, but I still have the right to ride a shared bike on the side of the road.

Thank you all
People around the world are the same. We share a lot of common traits. Greed, fear, kindness, love, motivation, laziness etc. There were a lot of Chinese "ancient" writing and books by academics from different generations 3000 years ago till today, on "people" and how to run a country with a lot of people. Successful leaders love to read, think, act, and adjust according to their situation. The west is still relatively naive in statecraft.
As a Chinese. Let me explain what i think when I saw this bag in the bike. If there is not valuable thing in it, I don’t need to take it. But if there is and I take it. I have been caught by police percent almost 100%. So the best choice for me just left it here waiting for the owner. And by the way. Because few people in china take cash.so I can’t catch up is there any valuable thing can be in it.
really really appreciate that you disclose those numbers for comparison. The whole world has so much bias on China under those Western narratives, mainly initiated by US
The numbers are pure fact the fact they are shared from a westerner proves that the narrative against China is from the government and the media not all westerners believe it especially the ones who are traveled
Thanks for this test & showing the world what China is really like & what the security cameras in China are really good for & not what the U.S. & what some western governments are accusing China of being.
This is great about China & even without the cameras, most Chinese people are inherently honest people but the cameras definitely keep all the bad actors from acting badly. However, what drives me mad is the hypocrisy of countries like the U.S. & western countries’ governments & MSM, when China uses cameras for citizens safety, the U.S. & the west would call that invasion of privacy, authoritarianism & no freedom. But when the U.S. or western countries use the cameras to catch criminals, it is great technology & great work by the police & FBI, CIA, Interpol, etc. Really hypocritical!
You guys' debunking idea is awesome! 👍 In America the ability to shout FU to their President is freedom for them. It's indecent and creates tension and chaos only. Freedom without safety is a bs idea. 👍
But you cannot rule out that someone had already checked your bag and dropped it back in the consideration that there's nothing valuable inside. So, to be strict on the experiment, u should have some way to check if the bag had been disturbed.
@@whatthehell4146 "But this will not be their expected outcome." ... because 'taken' does not always imply 'theft'. For example, bike company took bike for reacharging .. taking all stuffs left behind. ... and 'contact' (being disturbed) does not imply crime being committed either.

This kind of test is not good because the car you put your bags in is a public rental that anyone can rent. If they are in a hurry to use it, this situation will be very embarrassing. The correct testing method should be: "Put your bag and computer or phone on the same table, people can leave, which means that this seat is occupied by you and no one will touch your belongings. Also, it is not recommended to conduct such tests as there are poor people and thieves everywhere, and these phenomena are not completely banned in China
Yes 👍 I did feel like there was definitely a chance that this could go wrong but I don’t normally get so comfortable in a country and for that reason I was confident
Just because China is safer does not mean there are no thieves, there are still some thieves, go out to travel, try to take care of your own belongings.

China is not 100% safe, no country is completely safe. But as a Chinese born and raised in China, my country is really getting better. I remember when I was young, my parents still told me not to play too late at night. But as I get older, I don't know when China's security will become better and better. @@siqiwen-w8h Mao is the biggest traitor in the history of China.
Mao was a good leader despite many bad rumors trying to smear him, he saved and protected China, today Xi makes China great again.
他們應該要丟下明顯有價值的東西,譬如說電腦或手機😂,讓人一看就知道不是不要的東西,不過東西應該不久還是會消失,因為像這樣亂丟很可能被送到警察局😅

You are SO much more comfortable in China now than your first day (Yes, I watched "the Walk")
Haha “the night walk” is what we’re famous for. We are a lot more comfortable, I hope people are getting to know us more now.

There are thieves and criminals in China just like everywhere else, but China is now a much safer place than most, wasn't this safe 20 years or more ago, pickpockets and thieves were very common back then. Hi Reanne and Ben. FYI, Mao Zedong is more than just a poet. He's one of the founders of the Communist Party of China and the 1st Chairman of the People's Republic of China. You are at his home province.
Yes he is the picture in Beijing
I was in Changsha 3 weeks ago and it's all good.
It’s a great city
I just subscribed your channel ❤❤❤❤❤

Along with the stats drop at the beginning NOW!! Put into the context that China HAS 5X the amount of people of the US!!!! Chinese population =1.5BLN v 0.3BLN or 300M = US population!
Yes which actually makes the stats mind blowing.
Hello Morning Reanne and Ben
👋 hello
Saying "Young Mao Zedong, a poet" is like saying .... Let's say.... "Winston Churchill worked in the UK Parliament"
(Probably better examples, but you get my drift?)
"Chairman Mao" is probably a better search.
Haha yes I understand.

There is very good TH-cam Vloger who always make videos by herself. The name is Little Chinese Everywhere. I think she will give you some ideas about some new and different Province in China which you guys can visit.
I will check her out thank you 🙏
There were so many people gathering around Chairman Mao's status because Dec 26 is his birthday.
This was not actually filmed on December 26th it was a few weeks before
当他们说毛主席是一个诗人的时候,我真的特别难过。那是我们最伟大的领袖。但是他们却不知道,我不是在怪他们,但真的很难过。我就突然想哭。

Which country in SE asia? I feel safer in China than any country I have visited before

鹰击长空,鱼翔浅底,万类霜天竞自由。

This is why China is the world’s safest country
really really appreciate that you disclose those numbers for comparison.

现在真的比十多年前安全了需多。
This is great about China & even without the cameras, most Chinese people are inherently honest people but the cameras definitely keep all the bad actors from acting badly. However, what drives me mad is the hypocrisy of countries like the U.S. & western countries’ governments & MSM, when China uses cameras for citizens safety, the U.S. & the west would call that invasion of privacy, authoritarianism & no freedom. But when the U.S. or western countries use the cameras to catch criminals, it is great technology & great work by the police & FBI, CIA, Interpol, etc. Really hypocritical!
Yes I agree with you 100%
You guys' debunking idea is awesome!

Even if someone actually took it (all or partially), you can still get it back ... as long as there is camera footage (evidence).
@sarahlee9979 But this will not be their expected outcome.
@@whatthehell4146 "But this will not be their expected outcome."
... because 'taken' does not always imply 'theft'. For example, bike company took bike for reacharging .. taking all stuffs left behind.

Yes we always try to be careful. Just we wanted to show the world the truth about China. We felt confident and comfortable in China but you can never be sure if you’ll come across that one person
