I'm a score runner in this game. The only rules are that I can't die, and I can't use any glitches. I play with Tails. You showed me how to get the 7th big ring in Sandopolis Zone act 1 without using glitches. You also showed me how to get all 11 big rings in Marble Garden Zone without dieing. Thanks!
My first playthrough was me running through 50 gazillion of them just because I got addicted to Tails carrying me... now I can only find 50, including all 11 in Mushroom Hill as Knux(9 as Sonic no glitches.)

I was so pissed that Lava Reef zone had the last Giant Rings. I was one short away and I scoured the Lava Reef zone for every Giant Ring I could find, missing one. I went into Sky Sanctuary zone and was wondering where the Giant Rings were. I looked it up and I ended up on this video, that showed that there were no more Giant Rings hidden in the last zone. Actually, when I say I WAS pissed, I mean I AM pissed, because that's actually why I'm here right now. ;-; This game is so long compared to the first 2 Sonic games, and that's why I love it and hate it at the same time.
When you beat the game you can go back to any zone, get the Emeralds you missed and even start Angel Island with the Super Emeralds. The Knuckles cutscene plays like usual, but you keep your Emeralds until you delete that file.
I never knew there were so many, in marble garden especially, but I think there were some you missed in marble garden, but getting the first 1 in carnival 🌃 act 2 in that way instead of the bubble shield way is a new one on me, but I think you missed some in that zone as well, but I didn't know before that there were ways to get to all of the stages that were originally meant only for knuckles playing as sonic
