Great vid. If you live in Dayton there are a bunch of Skyline locations there and a Gold Star that isn’t too far out. There are probably some one offs that have Cincy-style chili too.
Always loved Blue Ash Chili. It's not within the city of Cincinnati. I'm not even sure if they are still in business, but their chili was delicious and they served huge double decker sandwiches.
@@DecalRanch it’s on the west side of cincy pretty much away from the main area. It’s a good concept but problem is cincy uses cheap materials for the chili and spaghetti

My favorite is Blue Ash Chili with Skyline and Dixie Chili right behind. I have only been to Price Hill Chili once when I was little. Camp Washington is great but they sometimes have an off day with the chili because it can taste like they forgot an ingredient or two. Also, you should try the one that started it all back in the 1920s, Empress Chili. Their last and only location is in Alexandria, KY.

Skyline is by the popular choice, it's so embedded in the city that you have to look over your shoulder to disparage it. That said, it comes down to sweet vs savory. Gold Star is the savory and is my preference. Dixie Chile is pretty good too. I have both close by. Looking forward to a part two.
Also as a Cincinnati native I grew up down the street from a breakfast/lunch mom & pop type restaurant called "blue jays" that is now closed down but there cheese cones were my vote for the best. And yes hot sauce is definitely a must! 😀👍

I'm from the Cincinnati area. Born there, raised in the surrounding counties, and I personally prefer Skyline to Gold Star, but I eat both, partially because where I live now doesn't have a Skyline. They both have there pros. I believe there is a Skyline in Dayton, could be wrong though. I highly recommend though always dine in at Skyline or Gold Star because you can buy there product in stores around Cincy, that's not authentic. Blue Ash chili
Blue Ash Chili is the best specially with the jalepeno caps. I do like Skyline chili on the noodles and I like Gold Star chili on the hot dogs.
Come to Charlotte, NC, and discover NC style burgers and red hots (NC style hotdogs). Chili, slaw, mustard and diced onion, or if you really wanna get your mind exploded, go to PInky's and get the chili and pimento cheese burger.
Too bad Chili Time closed :(
Rest in peace 🪦
I've never been to Camp Washington chili but I'm a Golf Star man through and through.
Chili Time is the best I’ve had. So good.
I can’t decide between skyline and gold star. Both places have great hot sauce and cheese
Price hill is the best Overall. No question. Best menu, best employees, best customers. Granted, I have been going there for over 40 years. I remember when the place was tiny!
Crazy you missed camp Washington because it's the best. Price hill 2nd. Skyline 3rd. Gold star has good burgers and loaded fries. Their chili is the blandest in town.
Hyped to go back and try Washington 💯
I’m 8:17 into the video. I’ll be disappointed if you didn’t try blue ash chili 😂 it’s better than em all man I’d make the 40 minute drive back to Cincinnati for it.
You should have tried Dixie
yes! leaner and spicier!
Skyline is superior
Should have tried Blue Ash Chili on the list too. Sucks the others were closed.
I know 🥲 May have to return for part 2 eventually
@@noahnathaniel Heck let me know and I'll meet you guys, my treat!
❤ my Cincy chili. but CHILI TIME in St.B. has been closed for awhile .
Skyline just gets the hype , but it's Gold Star by A mile.
Also let me teach you a secret only the realest of real ones know about. You order the coney, then you substitute spaghetti instead of the hotdog! That’s a 3-way sandwich cuz. Trust me. It’s the best thing a chili place has to offer, you have to try it if your a fan of Cincy style chili.
Okay but this actually sounds fire 🔥
Pleasant ridge is my favorite 💯
prc! I live about 5 mins away from there lol
No one mentioned J&J a dive, but a must go to if you live on the west side. Has great chili.
Hmm interesting 🤔
i rememebr when chili time was in oakley. my father & grampa would take me. good times. didnt know this place was even still around. i smell a trip coming soon... my favorite is PRC/pleasant ridge chili. for their "gravy cheese fries" & this is what this place is best known for. best chili for me is gold star but the wife is a skyline nut so its all i get these days. sometimes i sneak out by myself for gold star. lol
i remember when a coney at skyline was 18 cents
Not only cinnamon but chocolate and coffee. Sounds strange but it works
This peaked my interest ngl
Chocolate and coffee together?
If you pick gold star with the habanero cheese, compare it to the extreme cheese at Skyline. It wasn't a fair comparison.
I’m gonna go try that just because you asked 🙂↕️
YES STEP DAD LETS EFFIN GO!!!! SKYLINE FOREVERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aye but they both have there best of both skyline 3-ways goldstar chili cheez coneys but still skyline will alwayz be my favs
Live in Cincinnati. Camp Washington
Excited to go back and try that one! Bummed they were closed 🥲
Hands down, Camp Washington, bummer they were closed for you guys
I guess I’ll have to return for a part 2 down the road 🤫🔥Thanks for watching‼️
I used to love gold star but they kinda cut on their portions so I love skyline now but I also love price hill
464 subs how???? this video was fire
Glad you enjoyed! Grind won't stop anytime soon!
PRC Pleasant Ridge Chili top spot hands down
Definitely underrated 👍
I’m from here. I live here, I’m here rn, I’m never leaving!
Dixie chili is better than both skyline and gold star.
This was one of the ones I was sad I didn’t try 🥲 Should I do the pt 2??? 😎
