guys the vulkan tip is craaazy good, on mario kart 7 i went from only being able to run it on 2x resolution with a couple slowdowns (used to use opengl) to now being able to run up to like 7x resolution on toad circuit with no slowdowns (but my fan starts screaming for its life like crazy so im using 5x)
Have you experimented with lossless scaling and emulation? I would love your take and opinion of it used with lime3ds to get that buttery 60fps. Great video! Ps Would love to see a “mintenfo slitch” guide too!
What does the real time audio setting do and should it be enabled? Playing pokemon games creates awful slowdown and speed up in the sound/music so I am wondering if the default sound settings need changing.
I use Windows PC for emulation. I see two different versions of Lime3DS msvc and msys2. Is there a difference between msvc and msys2? Does one have better performance with modern PC hardware over the other?
From their GitHub page: Windows Version Differences There is no emulation specific difference between the MSVC and MSYS2 versions of Lime3DS, they are just two different compilers used to create a Lime3DS executable. However, there are a few functional differences: -MSVC generates a smaller file - Microsoft developed MSVC and is closed source while MSYS2 is open-source - MSVC requires the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ runtime, if not already installed, which can require a restart to finish the install. If you have issues with the Microsoft Visual C++ runtimes, you should try the MSYS2 install -There have been reports where MSVC has not worked while MSYS2 does
any way to uncap or change the fps cap to get over 60 fps? or does the game physics rely on fps, i untick vsync for less input latency and because vsync steals a few frames sometimes and normal vsync caps fps at 60. im not a fps snob or anything i just have a 144hz monitor and it would be nice to be able to use that
I think a lot of people forget handhelds had a lot of games that run sub 30fps....on purpose. I did when I got into emulation, it's just one of those things you may be able to fix.... but probably not. 15FPS all the way.
@@chrisryan8894 it's pretty difficult to compare. It's considered to be the main one everyone uses now and is still getting dev time. So if it's not now, it will be.
My s23 fe can run all these games so phenomenal even ports I bought for ps5 pc and ps4 spongebob cosmic shake I can run and dead by daylight ultra 60fps now some emulators and roms suck but being able to run resident evil revelations a certain setting in high res gotta fiddle a bit im very happy to have the 3ds version and I've got these on my Nintendo store and some Playstation but I'm never going back to game systems again being able to play ps2 games and such and even tho some console roms dont work like switch I can play these other games and ports for the go!!!! I'm happy the phone store told me to go with this phone!!!! Trying to fiddle with settings for revelations!!!! So happy to play on my phone for the go and Mario party top 100 island tour and star rush I'm giving a go very high colorful graphics and all it had more options then citra love the lime 3ds but might redo citra cause it runs real well!!!! Ethier way I do want a controller so I can play with it holding my phone goodbye game systems my advice keep citra!!!!! It runs really well and easy to use as well!!!! Happy to see the Mario partys looking better then the new ones for switch!!!! I couldn't resist!!!!! Same with obscure for ps2!!! And clock tower 3 even in original settings on my phone still cause of the screen look better!!!!!!! Happy gaming guys!!!! My first galaxy and it's a blessing this phone i have can do all this!!!!
Having a custom layout is very useful to me, cause I can replicate the screen distance to the emulator
I litterally was just looking into this emulator today. Nice one WP!
Always good timing
Your videos are so helpful. Definitely subscribed! Thanks for all your help

Can you please do rpsc3 the ps3 emulator and melonds the ds emulator next???
vulkan crashes it
Hey mate, did you have a video like this for Yuzu/Ryujinx? Not sure if I missed it.
Hi Kat, no I haven't covered switch stuff. Kinda scared to these days as already had a strike due to Nintendo.
@@warpedpolygon Understandable. Thanks, WP.
i run pokemon at 15 fps is that normal?
No
But which version of the emulator must you download????
How can I disable vibration?

I'm not sure with audio tbh. Turn it on and see what happens
Can i Download vulkan for my rtx 2060? Or how does this vulcan thing work

Most games rely on FPS thats why disabling vsync doesnt get you more than 60fps, you CAN uncap it but most likely it will break the game.

Is this considered to be better than the final version of citra now ?

Any idea why im lagging on mine? 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13500H 2.60 GHz is my processor. Is that the reason why?
Bad PC specs
oof that ghz is incredibly low
mine is intel core i5-1235U BUT the ghz is 4.4
ghz means instructions process faster so lower ghz means itll lag more
@@thechipthatjams thanks for the advice
@@Iconic_renewal np always aim for cpu with atleast 4.0 ghz because 4.0+ ghz is the recommended ammount for gaming and the such
Is this accurate as citra was?
@@Aether776 not 100% the same but the options are, except maybe the layout of the options and which tabs they're in it should all still apply
Dude, 'Cache' is pronounced 'Cash'. Saying 'Cash-a' has an entirely different dictionary meaning. 😉
