    Generally agree. Sadly I can't try the Metaspeed Sky as they don't do more than a 12 when I am normally a 13 and the 12 felt more like an 11 anyway. Not sure what you mean by foot pod data for this shoe though. What data and from whom? Also you said the Avanti is "faster" than the Dragonfly but then can't separate them for races which seems contradictory or did I misunderstand you? Vomero 16 I find is a good alternative as a daily trainer if you like something a bit firmer. It is sort of a "better" Pegasus in some ways. RC Elite v2 I find a good alternative to the Speeds if just fancy something a little softer. Puma Liberate Nitro is a good budget option for a non spike fast shoe. I finally got the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite (the one Molly Huddle wore in the Olympics) but bit early to say where it sits for me as been injured last few weeks. One category you did not mention was long run shoes. I find nearly all the carbon "racers" good for that. However whenever I want to go "fast" it is always the Vaporfly NEXT% that first comes to mind. I do wonder whether shoes like the Streakfly & Takumi Sen 8 could work better for somewhat faster athletes than me (like you!) these days or perhaps ever!

    • @Trackstaa_
      @Trackstaa_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say for long run. The reason I didn’t include that is purely because I don’t do fast long runs so just use mileage shoes.
      The main footpod data I used was ground contact time for the metaspeed.
      I like the Vomero 16 it’s a good shoe !
      In terms of the adidas avanti. I believe it’s sprint speed faster. But I’m still unsure exactly which shoe I’d prefer to race in for long distances

    Salomon Speedcross 5 for hills/xc training
    Salomon Sonic 4 Balance for daily runs
    Salomon Sonic 4 Accelerate for (short) tempo or tempo on a gravel track, actually ran my PB on the 1500M on these haha

    Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 for tempo on the track and road racing
    Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% for temporuns on the road, or like progressive long runs stuff like that
