Wish they did something with bears/werebears. kinda like how Poison creeper does with landslide, but it could be with pulverize every like 2-3 seconds they cast it or they trample with the earth aspects attached to or something like that. I just want a group of werebears with me lol
Did any of u guys see the new class? I feel like its basically got abilities reminiscent of Crusader, Monk and a lot of witch doctor inspiration too...its some of all 3...even the poison things spinning i was like...hammers?
Yeah .. d3 wasn't even that popular really? I mean yes it sold much and had initial playerbase pretty big during the seasons in RoS but the overall population went pretty low in a few more years.
from time perspective, Season 3 was such an important season for Blizz. 1. testing of mercenaries, what works and what doesn't 2. testing of updated codex of power with how we upgraded companion skills 3. testing of rune word with how companion skills worked 4. testing of raids with malfas battle.

Yo! I haven't seen this channel since the E_VOLVE days! Glad you're still kicking dude! I didn't get into D4 at first, but my Internet has been growing since I heard about the changes. Looking forward to what switches up.
I’m not returning to D4 until armory is ready; it should save & change all build options - including gear, talents, paragons, transmogs, plus follower / mercenary selections, etc. … changing all these details manually is a deal-breaker
Y'all can't appreciate what the Devs are doing with this game. They already confirmed it's coming. You don't wanna play fine, stop yappin@@digitalmuze
One less obvious thing about the change to the difficulty system is that if I understand this correctly, we can finally have some challenge in the campaign again. I wanted to play through the campaign once again before VoH... Already gave myself a lot of restrictions to try to make it a little bit interesting. Started a necro but no minions allowed (in part to force myself to use some other skills than I normally do). No crafting of any kind (no gems, no tempering, no imprinting aspects, no enchanting), no using the stash, only use what I find. Also only do main quest and no grinding to prevent overleveling. And play on WT2 obviously. But even with all that and before I even started finding legendaries everything was just dying immediately even just from throwing iron maiden on them (as soon as they did their first attack they'd die). Anything that's a bit tougher dies in one or two casts of Sever. Even the miniboss on the way to Neyrelle's mother, that I remembered as pretty tough when I first faced her, died in 2 casts. I finished Act 1 but it's mindnumbingly easy and restricting even further (only blue items or something like that) would just make the game less fun. I was hoping they would do something like this, so I'm just going to wait with finishing the campaign again until these changes are released... It would be awesome if they actually released the changes a little bit before Vessel of Hatred itself released so we have time to replay the story, but I suspect it will be all at once.
I agree, I thought the campaign felt good on launch, the fights were meaningfully long and had fun mechanics you had to respect. I was super worried about the campaign being completely trivialized in VoH with the tempering system etc., but it looks like the devs thought of that and made sure to at least give players the option of making it challenging without doing a Dark Souls-style naked SL1 run
@@luQ89 That was my thought exactly. It's literally D3 v.2. "Ancestral drop" (Basically Ancients/Primals), Pit that unlocks Torment, Pit that levels up glyphs, Paragon that's season wide, bruh... They just be making D3 again with a fresh coat of paint.
@@TheMickkbI could understand this complaint if blizzard was making a different title in the same genre. But you and the ones who keep saying this is like saying “Pepsi is just trying to be coke.” It’s called Diablo. How different do you expect it to be? It’s going to have those same core mechanics and gameplay loops that make past Diablo’s. Because it is in fact that, they are all Diablo. So yes, it is a reworked Diablo with a shiny new skin on it because it’s a freaking Diablo. What else do you want outside of the genre?
My biggest annoyance with Tempering is when you roll the same affix you don't want repeatedly. It'd be nice if they made it so you never roll the same affix twice in a row.
@@Kebab1643 Personally I think the feel bad of rolling the same affix you don't want 5 times in a row far outweighs the benefit of an extra chance or two at a higher roll. I rarely try to roll higher if I get the affix I want at all because of the # of bricked items I've had because it decides to get stuck on a particular affix I don't want. To clarify I'm not saying I want it to not be able to roll an affix more than once at all, simply that it will always roll something different for the next roll.
ive started watching your videos for the first time not long ago. I find myself watching them more and i can say i really like how polished and articulate your presentation is. Awesome content homie!!!
I guess my biggest thing is the same thing we said when they announced “ runewords” in the dev blog in what 2019? 18?, just call it something else. It not runewords don’t sully the name of runewords just for the sake of saying “ we are bring runewords to the game! Remember those? Like in D2?” I don’t have a problem with the system they are doing, it seems …. Fine? They just need to admit they are going the route of D3 for design and stop trying to hook players with “oh look! Is like D2!” What they really need to do is what made immortal successful, community. If you took the P2W elements out of immortal, it actually has a decent system that brings community a sense of identity. Clans mean something being in a top clan that regularly gets top 10 or immortal feels good and gives it a sense of community. Make Clans like 1k people, let them compete against each other, let there be week events that count the number of demons you kill over the course of a week or weekend event and show the top 20 clans for the boards. Let there be events that when you complete random 10 objectives some easy some tough to get a cache that has a 10% chance to drop a resplendent spark, or drops a spark, and has a 10% chance to get a second one. Just anything give people a reason to play the game day in and day out, reuse events every other weekend, the “All clans on deck” event is a perfect event to event to bring to the game just 1 for 1 you contribute as part of a clan and get your name on a leader board, plus a bonus cache at the ends for being XYZ place, or reaching XYZ totals of monsters as a clan.
I'd really love for them to change Tempering RNG so it's more well-rounded. It's painful to roll a temper 5 times and get the same affix you don't want 4 times out of the 5... 😒
Everything sounds amazing!!! I do like how Blizzard is doing the whole "sharing class" thing with a lot of their games. They did it with Hearthstone last expansion/mini set and it was fun. So I'm excited for Runewords!
@@zilliq-qz5uw, the Grind keeps you playing LONGER, meaning they can show to their SHAREHOLDERS that their player base is constant and GOOD. Their SHARES and SHAREHOLDERS can see on a spreadsheet that their investment is GOOD. It's all about Blizzard's greed to make the game make more money (to explain it in a simple way).
So here's a question with the whole difficulty thing. At level 1 you don't get much in the way of skill points and if some classes can immediately jump to T2 to T4, wouldn't that imply that there's a class tier system and that some classes are just not fun to play? I mean, who wants to spend minutes fighting the same mob, that another can one to two tap most monsters and get the loot faster?
Wow, its almost like they finally realized they didn't have to make an entirely different game from Diablo 3. They could have taken what was learned on, and worked, in D3 and put it into D4 and still make D4 their own thing, narratively, asset and gear-wise, and mechanically. So odd that Blizzard forgot how to make games along the way. Then again, MTX.
@NonEmployee yeah it absolutely was lmao I liked d4 at launch..hated it in season 1-3 but enjoyed season 4 and 5...but man blizzard is literally cookin now...I think the future is bright
The items can't be renamed because they designed them to just be better yellows. There's no identity to them. I preordered the game and tried every season to see if it was better. 100% will not pay for any expansion until I know it is worth it
A lot of really exciting things happening in D4. As much as I was digging all of the changes they went over, the real highlights were Colin's casual swearing. That guy is an MVP!
I think that Adam died a little bit every time that he cursed (it was only two times that I could remember but even once on an official product stream is a thing).
That feeling when they've literally announced those runewords back before the base game released, they basically just kept the idea but delayed it so that they've got something nice and ready to put behind the expansion paywall
Great video and excellent info. Really looking forward to playing the expansion. Regarding two points you mentioned New Mythic item: Party rotating buff of 240% dmg sounds pretty cool to me and everyone gets to have the fun. It honestly reminds me of D3 Convention of Elements, albeit this one may be harder to plan for and would be most ideal for builds that just blast all the time to suddenly gain insane dmg boost. Familiar for sorc. Sadly if fire familiar requires using a fire spell beforehand, it won't really fix any issue regarding the firebolt passive. As we would already need to have fire spell in our kit anyway.
I want social things like profiles with stats from friends where we can see eachothers characters and gear like in D3. Also a damage meter for world bosses and when in groups would be reaaaally nice. Also for healing and tanking meters would b nice
Hell I'd be happy with a damage meter just for the training dummy, rather than recording and going frame-by-frame trying to see the crit I got. But yeah I would love damage meters in group content just to see how well you're contributing, it's a little irrelevant on world bosses now though since you just get nerfed proportional to your dps output anyway lol
Can they just stop dropping white and blue items nie and just turn thosr into materials automatically? I also still don't see a point to yellow items once you get to torment 1 can those turn into materials automatically as well in t1+
@DarthMizaru make gas rerollable because you don't want to farm you just want the ability to have everything be super easy to obtain and never have to worry about anything...
It sounds great, but it's going to be messy. I'm a developer for a massive app and it's taken me 5 years to be fully fluent with how to use every part of it. By now I've forgotten some of the original pieces I cut my teeth on that have also changed a lot. We're not rocket surgeons, it's more complicated than that.
Thanks for the recap! It was great seeing your enthusiasm about the changes too. Happy that you acknowledge the devs have a difficult job too, and not just trash on them.
It would make sense that with us interacting directly with a Prime Evil and the NPC essentially carrying Mephisto towards Kurast…that the angels would have to directly step in and intervene. I want to see Tyrael again.
This already exists. Watch the color of the fire of meteors firewalls or incinerate and such. There are also other skills and in other classes, but they are not consistent and not very prominent/noticeable. The fire becoming blueish on sorc and imbuements saturation on rogue are the most noticeable, but still subtle. They can't increase the size of the effects obviously because they would scale in power with size and clash with tempers that increase size. But tbh better not to do even visually that much anyway, since visual clutter is already high, especially in group.
I’ll take any other Diablo than what they made for D4. D4 did not feel like a Diablo game at all, it felt like some kind of MMO with bad loot itemization. It sounds like they are turning it into a game with much better replay ability.
@@webeechamin1167 diablo 3 didnt even feel like an actual arpg. it had the most braindead on the rails itemization the genre has ever saw. the last thing diablo 4 needs to be is diablo 3
you can bet that there will be a ton of bugs in s6 with such a scope of changes. But who cares if they aren't game breaking and if they fix most of them for the next season.
So there's a few changes. Legendary items are no longer something you need to hoard, every legendary power can be added to the Codex of Powers by salvaging a legendary item, and whatever the highest tier of power you ever salvaged is what you can imprint an infinite number of times. However, now what you will be hoarding is bases, specifically items with greater affixes or amulets with + to good skill ranks. I only have one character and I've still managed to fill my entire stash up with GA items that I might possibly want to use someday (but probably won't). Especially since items can be bricked with the tempering system, you may need multiple copies of GA items to hit your best tempers to craft a GG piece of gear. Long story short it is better, but lack of space is still an issue. However in general the game is much more fun than it was on launch IMO, leveling is very fast, Helltide is super fun, we have the Pit and the Infernal Hordes, and lvl 200 Tormented Bosses to work towards. It is night and day compared to launch
Most people already stopped playing. They are nust appeasing the d3 player base cause those guys are prisoners of that loot piñata game that wasnt really that fun.
Bricking items is important for grind longevity. I'm amazed how many casuals don't understand basic ARPG logic. D2 had bricks with min rolled runewords already, PoE has bricking through bad crafting outcomes, etc.
@@Daniel-rd6st What’s the point then? Why not just give me the ability to roll what affixes I want instead of? The contradiction here is they give us more rolls to roll for the affixes we want, and limit the pool of affixes, so very easy to roll them, but you just have a unnecessary chance to brick, a hard brick. However, a low roll of the useful affixes is not a hard brick, it’s a soft brick, like 2% crit vs 8% crit. It’s just… illogical.
@@LittleRadicalThinker I sont think that i get your point. If they include a rare item, that lets you unbrick an exeptional good item, it removes some of the hurt of bricking an item, but still makes bricking a meaningfull risk. Not that i personally like the mechanic, though honestly i like masterworking a lot less. I have sometimes sunken tons of materials to get at least one affix right, let alone two. At least in the current season, gold isnt really a problem anymore.
Combinations that can give additional effects is about as close as we were ever going to get. Eventually, we might be able to give our new Mercs a weapon with a word. Then just running normal cows for a good base for Spirit. Wait, I forgot what game we were talking about.
You can build a mythic item with them. Which essentially is what runewords were in D2 (like crafting Infinity or Enigma). It's just that we have less such items in D4 than there were runewords in D2. But now the runes have this socketable feature as well. Imho a better use for runewords to alter the gameplay than to simply craft uniques with them as D2 did.
Ya I am not happy with the "Runewords". As you said, they are just Runes now... And you can only get them if you buy Vessel of Hatred... lol Runewords in D2 expanded on the base effects of each rune. They literally created new items that had wayyy better effects and stats. I was so excited for Runewords in D4 but now I am just really disappointed in them...
I loved the coverage but you're digging way too hard at people who play "inefficiently" and you're sounding a lot like the issue I've ran into with getting into with D4 - players gatekeeping and being pissy with others who don't follow the meta - you still cover the facts and information fluently and flawlessly I'm just irked at the lack of focus on the change in builds possibilities that you covered closer towards the end of the video in exchange for what were practically rants about "If you want to stay on a lower difficulty" specifically focusing non stop on it being inefficient. And there is a huge reason to run for higher difficulties and a huge difference between them - risk vs reward rates, so the same incentive to chase higher is still there as always and substantially it feels more like an expansion and change for the current meta and whale economy that's already going on.
Sounds like projection man, he wasn't saying anything at all negative toward casuals, he was pointing out that every style of player can play the way they want. Casuals can play on lower difficulty and do all the content albeit more slowly, and high-end players can juice the game and play at higher difficulty with higher rewards and faster progression. This is specifically anti-gatekeeping
Hi yeah, I want to love Diablo. I’ve been playing since I was a kid back in the day… but until every class has 50 skills to choose from or more, it’s not going to touch Poe 2
I've been playing Diablo for about 30 years and D4 is basically a mix of D2 and D3. I'm still in favor of taking what's good and bringing it back to a game. I'm expecting something more though and therefore new dynamics never seen before like happened in D3. However, the real change that everyone is waiting for, is the pit leaderboards, otherwise how do we think the game can have competition and glue us for an entire season?
Better hope it isnt as clunky as POE is or it wont keep many more people then 1 does. All that money and still have trash servers. Or just useless developers who cant optimize.
@@realrealityeast6278 That's because Chris Wilson is still obsessed with D2 being the pinnacle of ARPGs. PoE has so many basic QoL feature missing 12 years into its development because the guy just utterly refuses to change his mind despite a decade of requests. No way to skip 10 acts of campaign for each and every character. No build saving. No way to check DPS. The guy refuses to even implement damage numbers. It took 12 YEARS to add a currency exchange, something that people have been asking for constantly since at least 2015. It took years and years to get to the point the game wouldn't straight up crash when pressing Alt in a juiced map. PoE is a good game at its core, but Chris Wilson drags it waaaaay down with devotion to game design from 25 years ago. Super basic QoL features missing and half the ones that are actually in the game are only there because the community have made it happen with third party addons. Can you imagine the game without Awakened PoE trade, FilterBlade, Path of Building? It would be almost unplayable at a high level. I really hope PoE2 fixes all this mess and Chris buys a book on game design written after 1998, but from what I've seen of PoE2 in early release, I'm not sure that's ever going to happen. And I really hope D4 turns all the launch mess around and builds a great game, more competition in the ARPG space is good for everyone.
@@nisx2012 Well the original D2 was actually a good game. The expansion expanded from that but also destroyed some pretty good systems that were not needed to be destroyed. Many of the things in LoD were things that didn't make into the launch of D2 because the devs had too little time to finish everything. Some of the bad things were cast delays, global physical resist, immunities everywhere, power leveling became very easy where in pre-LoD it was not worth the effort.. basically by twinking with some starter gear you did leveling faster by yourself. Bosses dropping good loot everytime promoted botting a lot.. where in pre-LoD the best loot came from killing monsters where ever you wanted (considering monster levels) and then also using your gold to gamble good rares.
How about disabling trading? Just create an auction house without RMT and the problem would be solved. All players can only trade via the auction house now and you cannot buy gold because trading is disabled. Maybe allow the trading in a group when the items were found together would be good, but other than that you would always have the RMT. I hope they consider an auction house so casual players can trade ingame as well. :)
Last epoch has an “auction house” type trading system and there’s still rmt. Where there’s a will there’s a way unfortunately. Gold sellers will post a random crappy item for insane gold prices or have you do it then pay the price after the transaction is complete.
@@JabeRaddle Yeah I do not think it will be easy, but I still think this is way better than the trading right now. And I think fully open trading is just easier for the bots/gold seller.
I haven't played since season 1 and haven't really kept up with the game since then either. While these changes sound cool, i still don't understand how they haven't added more classes yet. Honestly feels like they should have added at least two new classes by now, and that adding them would've brought players back to the game and brought new players to the game as well
Angels aren't necessarily good man, half of them wanted to annihilate humanity and Malthael led his host of angels to slaughter untold millions of people in Reaper of Souls
You’re looking at it wrong. Getting a unique is build enabling, but getting a well rolled unique, and then crafting it up to be good? You won’t get that very often even in that 100 uniques. The chase for a good unique is what’s fun
@@CH-es1ri No... they gutted the skill tree and placed it into uniques and added a range roll to the skills to force you to gamble they built the entire game as a slot machine to leach money from Asia
fan since D3. Im hoping you release another beginner/casual guide for classes, equipment upgrades etc. Once the version 2 goes live. I played 1st few months of d4 then got busy for several months. When i came back its already overwhelming.
So is the campaign completely obsolete now? Maybe I'm the only one who cares but I'm one of those old gamers who actually likes to take their time and get immersed in the world a bit and not just blast through everything. I'm just very curious how all these changes will work starting a new playthrough
I'm sure they're reworking how the leveling coincides with campaign progression. Especially the Spiritborn class is fully voices and animated for the story like any other class. They're not gonna neglect it
Well, you can play the campaign as many times as you want, Campaign and what it was called "Adventure Mode" are two separate things, I find ot anoying if like in POE I have to do campaign every season instead of starting with the good part. Imagine starting your season character and any new thing is locked behind Lillith. Most basic things that we give for granted like Whispers, Helltide, etc, are all behind a chore that may take you more time than leveling to 100.
What I'm really curious about is if we will be able to make a new character and have them start at the beginning of the new act? It would suck if we have to level through the campaign at the start of the season. I want to believe that they'll let us do this but I haven't seen any confirmation anywhere so I'm a little anxious about that.
@@DarthMizaru I agree it shouldn't be necessary to play through it every time. All I'm saying is I hope they tune it properly for those of us who want to play through it again with all these changes and improvements

I have so many mixed feelings! As someone who loved D2 and hated D3 and then loves D4, the shift towards D3 style stuff is scary, but it I’m going to try and keep an open mind! Excited for the angels lore tho!
Excited for all the changes, but it does kinda bother me that they're tryna sweep the idea that most of this isn't pulled straight from D3 under the rug... - "New max level is 60! Paragon points are realm-wide now!" - "4 new pre-Torment difficulties! and 4 Torment difficulties once you hit max level!" - "Glyphs (which are totally not Legendary Gems, btw) now have a chance-to-level system through the Pit! (Which also totally isn't Grifts, btw)" Again, I'm pumped about the changes, I just find it weird they don't embrace the notion that the past has SOME good ideas...
I think you’re one of the best. Also I haven’t really diablo4, I have been playing pd2 off and on and have enjoyed that more. I think this new season is going to be great. I might be playing Diablo 4 more.
Surprised and impressed :) . The sense of progression is what I enjoy the most in games (besides narrative), I'm not really a 'pit pusher' or '1% min-maxer', and its all a bit of a opaque mess in the current live game. Also, Still not sold on tempering and mastereworking - I end up spending too much time in town 'gambling' (not interesting gameplay imo), and either bricking my best gear, wasting hard-earned mats on the wrong masterworks, or making my gear soooooo powerful that nearly everything in the game becomes irrelevant. I hope these changes will at least help a bit.
Me: I want Runewords back Blizzard: we have Runewords at home. honestly, these feel like a terrible version of runewords. They really should have used something different for the name/mechanic and not changed runeowrds so much. These suck compared to what runewords used to be.
I'm concerned that we keep getting more and more customization and progression but no news about seasons lasting longer. Customizing my transmogs, mount, pet, title, allocating now 60 skills points, 300 paragon points and however many mercenary points, making good runewords, etc. it just feels like waaaay too much effort if we get seasons that only last 2-3 months. With this much customization and progression, I think seasons should last at the very least 6 months. My other concerns are that they want to add more multiplayer activities and functionality, but adding 4 more difficulty options is going to split the player base up even more. And why do they insist on adding more and more multiplicative damage, this also splits up the player base. Make all damage scaling additive (except for perhaps a select few that are unmodifiable) and the player and game balance won't run amok every single season and people will actually be able to play together in a meaningful way. Whatever multiplayer we get in S6, it will be multiplayer-mechanics that just straight up forces there to be multiple players present to progress, because any type of multiplayer-mechanic related to player power balancing is going to be impossible, and for absolutely no good reasons. Just blizzard being obsessed with * over +.
Though i agree. They won't do this because of how much money they make quarterly. With Battle passes and the hype wave every 3 months bringing back an influx of players 4 times a year. Unfortunately People get board and will move to another game with only 2 seasons a year, They already do with what we have currently. Some people hit max lvl day 1 or 2, then start their endgame grind, or follow content creators who jump from one arpg to the next and so, "monkey see monkey doo." Then player numbers dwindle. This way they can ensure numbers remain at a decent margin every quarter, simply to make that bread and call it a live service game.
loot system was crap... they reworked that (and stole upgrading from Last Epoch but in a poorly implemented way)... already broke their back end damage calcs and now have to implement nerfs on all classes for the 3rd time before the expansion.
D1- D3 existing for decades with beloved mechanics and D4 lacks a vast majority of them. D4 an entire year later! Oh hey guys! we are introducing runewords and set items! please come and pay 40.00US for a weird new class nobody asked for and these new innovative mechanics like rune words! how fun.
He seems excited about all of that and im happy for him, but man they need to stop beating around the bush and bring back gear trading and market. That was the core of d2 and they gutted it from d3 and d4.
Yes and no player should have advantages over others in terms of what you can or cannot do based on platform choice. If the game is titled the same then console players should have options available to them the same as PC players
GAME FIX: In PS4, when viewing your Stash Chest, can Blizzard make the Highlighted Weapon Description to NOT coverup all of my other weapons in that page? Put it to the middle area between the Chest and the Character graphic?
As excited as I am for the expansion, I still have to say it not really cool that the last year was a "beta/early access" they could have just marketed it that way and had plenty of support it was a great canvas but instead they bombarded us with all this pseudo content as a distraction while they tested the limits of everything they've designed so far. its felt like a great canvas but just awkward gameplay every season, massively overpowered and bugged builds. Now we get rune words, new skills and abilities, entire leveling/skill/paragon system change. You think they did all of this in a year? all of the content we played through already and are about to playthrough has been in the works for over 6 years. from one random player on the internet I wish companies could just be more transparent.
Blizzard: "Don't worry, it won't be anything like D3, we're making it more like D2!" Blizzard: _Gradually adds back all the stuff that made D3 what it was_ Me: 🙃
Look, I am on your side generally on the idea of what you are saying, but if you think the pivoting from what they did on launch has been in dev for the duration of the game. You are an idiot.

@@seebbsss "There are $15-20 games with better story and game play than this, if you don't call that robbing idk what is." Ah, yes, the relentless myth of "dollar amount == measurement of a game's entire quality / per hour." That you elected to buy into an optional cosmetic battle pass instead of buying just the game by itself? Sounds like a "you" problem.
I love all these changes. I think the new runeword system is actually much more interesting than the D2 one, which was just "farm countess until you can craft a unique item." This to me is reminiscent of Final Fantasy 12's gambits, which were again a set of condition -> action setups and led to interesting and fun build options. The character progression changes sound great, as someone who loved D3 I love the sound of blasting the pits to level up my glyphs and maxing out my paragon
it's 46 because torment 4 starts at pit lvl 66 and most efficient way to upgrade your glyph is doing 20lvl higher runs. from patch notes: "Every 20-level difference between the completed Pit Tier and Glyph Rank grants a bonus upgrade per attempt."
2:28 so with new difficulty levels, it sounds like you can actually enjoy the game from the start now by choosing a high difficulty. Might be time to play through the campaign again if so.

Lots of neat stuff for sure but I'm a bit annoyed that there are no set items yet! :C Anyhoo I'm still pretty excited . And hey, RUNE WORDS are back! Yeah baby! The system for them sounds interesting. I hope it's something they do a lot of things with.
I wish they could give us one or 2 more skills on our skill bar to be able to utilize some more skills and have variety within those builds that are already meta and give a build some more diversity
The aspect to turn your wolf into a werewolf is already in the game. I'm running a druid companion build where all of them also do lightning damage.

Best news for me is that they are working on the armory/wardrobe. Thanks for the recap. Can’t wait for the expansion.

Thank you for summarizing it all!

What if it’s the right affix but you want to re-roll for higher value?
it honestly feels like a bug bc ill get the same one every time til it bricks
@@Kebab1643 Personally I think the feel bad of rolling the same affix you don't want 5 times in a row far outweighs the benefit of an extra chance or two at a higher roll. I rarely try to roll higher if I get the affix I want at all because of the # of bricked items I've had because it decides to get stuck on a particular affix I don't want.
To clarify I'm not saying I want it to not be able to roll an affix more than once at all, simply that it will always roll something different for the next roll.

Party rotating buff of 240% dmg sounds pretty cool to me and everyone gets to have the fun.

Would be lovely if leveling skills visibly showed an increase in power
Remember that they even advertised that the skill effects would do this before the game launched? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
@@marsovac I don’t care just thought I’d mention it that’s all,I’m desensitised to bugs nowadays
havent played since it first came out, is it worth coming back too? Is stash fixed yet?

Runewords that are not actually building an item but just being used as sockets are just runes.
And you can only get them if you buy Vessel of Hatred... lol
Runewords in D2 expanded on the base effects of each rune. They literally created new items that had wayyy better effects and stats. I was so excited for Runewords in D4 but now I am just really disappointed in them...
No, its just Gems
These changes are incredible im so excited
Hi yeah, I want to love Diablo. I’ve been playing since I was a kid back in the day… but until every class has 50 skills to choose from or more, it’s not going to touch Poe 2
I've been playing Diablo for about 30 years and D4 is basically a mix of D2 and D3. I'm still in favor of taking what's good and bringing it back to a game. I'm expecting something more though and therefore new dynamics never seen before like happened in D3. However, the real change that everyone is waiting for, is the pit leaderboards, otherwise how do we think the game can have competition and glue us for an entire season?
Blizzard stressing out with all these changes, PoE2 breathing down their necks.

And I really hope D4 turns all the launch mess around and builds a great game, more competition in the ARPG space is good for everyone.

Agreed. So sad how they've thrown this game down the toilet.
Well IMO ROS was the killer of diablo 3
How about disabling trading? Just create an auction house without RMT and the problem would be solved. All players can only trade via the auction house now and you cannot buy gold because trading is disabled. fan since D3.
@@ferrite1707 Ron Ferguson stated last month that you can jump directly into the expansion with your new character. I can find the video for you but it's lengthy and idk where that particular question and answer was
I have so many mixed feelings! As someone who loved D2 and hated D3 and then loves D4, the shift towards D3 style stuff is scary, but it I’m going to try and keep an open mind! Excited for the angels lore tho!
yeah i see it as ashame they are going in this direction. as long as they dont do diablo 3 itemization we should hopefully be good
Excited for all the changes, but it does kinda bother me that they're tryna sweep the idea that most of this isn't pulled straight from D3 under the rug...
- "New max level is 60! Paragon points are realm-wide now!"
- "4 new pre-Torment difficulties! and 4 Torment difficulties once you hit max level!"
- "Glyphs (which are totally not Legendary Gems, btw) now have a chance-to-level system through the Pit! (Which also totally isn't Grifts, btw)"
Again, I'm pumped about the changes, I just find it weird they don't embrace the notion that the past has SOME good ideas...
Pre-release D3 had itemised Runes before they created the release Rune system. Sound like Aspects and Codex to you?
Me: I want Runewords back
Blizzard: we have Runewords at home.
honestly, these feel like a terrible version of runewords.
As someone who hasn’t played since release and beat the game - none of this makes any damn sense.
Right
loot system was crap... they reworked that (and stole upgrading from Last Epoch but in a poorly implemented way)... already broke their back end damage calcs and now have to implement nerfs on all classes for the 3rd time before the expansion.
as it would to anyone who hasn't played the goddamn game?
Love it! Super excited for October 8th!
I'm stunned, this changes seems amazing.
D1- D3 existing for decades with beloved mechanics and D4 lacks a vast majority of them. D4 an entire year later! Oh hey guys! we are introducing runewords and set items! please come and pay 40.00US for a weird new class nobody asked for and these new innovative mechanics like rune words! how fun.
Sounds like this should have been the official release.
Sounds like it wasn’t. Can’t go back in time…what now?
I think after the initial rough launch, this is probably what they're going for. No man's sky relaunch redemption lol.
It was over 12 years ago with D3
@@lekkai7473 If it was a No Man's Sky redemption it would not be a paid expansion hehe
@@bmay511 i only played pc. what are the disadvantages on other platforms?
I may have maybe 10 hours in Diablo 4 so when I do decide to finally come back to it it's cool to know I'll be playing a really good revised version.
GAME FIX: In PS4, when viewing your Stash Chest, can Blizzard make the Highlighted Weapon Description to NOT coverup all of my other weapons in that page? Put it to the middle area between the Chest and the Character graphic?
Pretty soon they'll stop development for last gen bro...
Blizzard: "Don't worry, it won't be anything like D3, we're making it more like D2!"
Blizzard: _Gradually adds back all the stuff that made D3 what it was_
Me: 🙃
@@Krikenemp18 yep what a shame
Look, I am on your side generally on the idea of what you are saying, but if you think the pivoting from what they did on launch has been in dev for the duration of the game. You are an idiot.
Just make a fun game that isn’t designed to rob the fanbase.
Which is what they are doing. In what way are cosmetics robbing the fanbase exactly?
@@blaynegreiner9365 cosmetics? What about the $100+ broken ass game they sold us at the beginning? that btw they still haven't been able to fix and probably never will, now add to that an other $60+ expansion that I can guarantee you that will be an other broken ass mess of a game, either that or will be the same exact mid ass game we already have with 1 more quest line...
There are $15-20 games with better story and game play than this, if you don't call that robbing idk what is.
Oh yeah and lets not forget the battle pass, the cosmetic shop and whatever other shit they will eventually implement (because you know they will)
@@seebbsssdo you play the game? genuine question. seems like you're just here to yell at clouds. sad!
@@seebbsss "There are $15-20 games with better story and game play than this, if you don't call that robbing idk what is."
Ah, yes, the relentless myth of "dollar amount == measurement of a game's entire quality / per hour."
I call robbing "the unlawful taking of property from (a person or place) by force or threat of force." If the "property" here is "money," then the "force" is... what, exactly? That you elected to buy into an optional cosmetic battle pass instead of buying just the game by itself?
Sounds like a "you" problem.
@@blaynegreiner9365 no its not what they doing. They run out of ideas how to fix D4 and get more people to pre-order the DLC... wake up
I love all these changes.
These changes are awesome, i'm super excited.
2:28 so with new difficulty levels, it sounds like you can actually enjoy the game from the start now by choosing a high difficulty. Might be time to play through the campaign again if so.
I’ve been waiting to play the campaign at a higher level with a stronger build
What a good job on this video. Awesome
can't wait to see more GA "Life per second" and "+thorn" affix ancestral in torment lvl.
I played d3 up to season 30, I bought d4 finished the campaign prior to season 1 I haven’t even turned the game back on since… maybe this will get me back into it
Lots of neat stuff for sure but I'm a bit annoyed that there are no set items yet!
