If you roughly sand the pvc pipe then the hot glue will hold better
you could also cut a cross pattern into it with an xacto knife

That is an exercise by Matteo Carcassi (Classical Guitar). Can't remember which exercise . Good luck with the guitar.

Great comment! Got to end him rightly! No pommel on this mace. But it would be easy to make one, a spike, a blunt, or something else.
It's basically a pommel on a stick.

i believe it's a morningstar, not a mace
Morning star just refers to a spiked ball, so this would still be a mace, just that it would be called a morning star mace
