Hey Will, can you do a full Samurai Armor Set. The Boots, The Gauntlets, the Torso Armor, the Helm (with face mask) and shield with a foam Katana or Samurai Spear? Or maybe a Samurai Bow? I know you made a medieval Knight foam set. But I was always curious how a foam samurai set would be made.
Another great medieval weapon diy. I love watching your videos BC you always give us a project that's very well done but simple & cheap to make. Great job, cant wait to see your next medieval weapon. With GOT around the corner maybe something from that. Or some kind of weapon from the new Zelda Breath of the Wild.

With contact cement, it's an instant bond if you put it on both surfaces and then wait 15 minutes, and then put them together! Also, cutting EVA foam would be much easier to do with a utility knife, though, you'd need to keep a knife sharpener nearby since the foam dulls the blades really quickly.
tip for working with the barge cement. very thin layer, wait till it is not tacky, and a 2nd layer. wait till it is not glossy and no longer tacky. then just stick inplace. instant bond

Thank you for this tutorial. I wanted a second weapon for my She-Ra costume and thought a silver and gold mace with white leather would fit nicely.

Will, where do you get all your foam? I am working with a foam insulation which is great, but it is expensive. Great video by the way!
It is expensive. I get most of mine from the Home Depot. Amazon now carries the blue DOW foam which is great.
Darn, I was figuring that you had found a cheap way to get it! Thanks for the recommendation on the DOW foam, I will look into that.
