I forgot to do any USD/AUD conversions!! For example, the chicken, thighs are 11.39/kg for me, which works out at 5.13aud/lb or 3.47usd/lb! The total shop being 1789.64USD at current exchange rates.
@@cindydaniel6125 it feels like so so much when I do it, but that’s why I break it down, it’s not accurate because of the extras that aren’t food in there, but it gives me a measuring stick to assess!

You did very well!.. I’m with you on the filming in store with people about, not only that but the time factor.. so I say you do you.. .. a trolley pushed around a store is the same no matter the store… food on shelves are food on shelves…I can voucher for the shops here in Au.. they are not paved with gold even thought it cost that much to buy the food 😂😂…. Love the mince idea … oh you’ll love those ramen and egg noodles… good way to have them… don’t know if you have or haven’t tried the rice noodles with the pesto.. must say it’s really nice.. like a very light decedent meal… anyhow a busy girl you will be.. and happy family they will be…🤣..see you on the next one
It definitely takes more time to film! I do have some basic footage, a lot of it in car parks after I’ve visited the store etc I’ll put it all together regardless hehe :) I love fresh rice noodles but I have struggled enjoying the dried ones, j need to try them in diff ways! We use the vermicelli rice ones in rice paper rolls though!
This is an impressive haul!!! You got a lot of extra meat! That's so wonderful! Good on you for thinking outside the box and buying the vacuum sealed beef to make you own mince! You are a genius! I'm so glad you treated yourself to some special things for your birthday! You deserve them and soooooooo much more!!! Can't wait to see what you make out of all of this!
I'm looking forward to getting all this meat sorted and having that extra in the freezer and on the shelf for later! :D. Was so glad I asked, can't find out if you don't ask! :D Thank you Holley :D
I really liked the overlay of the breakdown of prices per shop on the screen! It was a really easily understood snapshot. I would love it if u do that more often!
I cant believe you fitted so much on & in that ute ! You must be a Queen at tetris !lol. That costco meat trim is fantastic. That gives you more time and more control over how you like to grind it too. I can understand why you love that pork. So cheap ! I love your cheesey choices , mersey valley is my favourite treat cheese too. Well done on everything lovely and thanks for sharing ❤
I got a nice surprise yesterday at the stores. In one store it was advertised chicken wings $1.99/pound. I don't get them often because they are pricey at usually $3.59/pound. I got to the store and on the front door a note said "Limit 4 pkgs". Also the weekly circular was incorrect and the chicken wings are $.99/pound. WOW! I grabbed 3 pkgs. Got 7 meals (for lack of a better word) of 7 wings in each meal. I especially adore butter and garlic wings. Then across the street they had baby back ribs for $1.49/pound and 80/20 ground beef for $1.99/pound. Win win for me.
I've bought the aldi ones as well! They're perfectly good for us, I think the aldi ones are 1.40 per 100g and the coles 1.20 per 100g so similar pricing too! :D. Thank you :D
I think I’ve seen every Haul that you have a video fir and I am amazed each and every time how much running around & shopping …including all of the driving that you do in a few days…I’m exhausted just thinking about it! 😏 Glad your trip went well.
It is a really long couple of days, I actually crashed for a nap this afternoon lol, I try and take it a bit easy for the Sat/Sun and then get started on everything on the Monday! :D
Your vidios are so good. One of the best shopping hauls on ytube, you are going to go far and overtake some of the big channels I won’t mention them but everyone will know who they are.
excellent..you work so hard, not only providing for your family..but also providing information for us too..always informative..always funny..and love it..regards
Yay, I love grocery day! Really enjoy seeing what bargains you can find and looks like you got some this time - plenty of meat to process for the shelves and freezer, and that beef looks like it could be the way to go in future…bet you’re glad you have the mincer now, rather than that plastic Kitchen-Aid effort. Thoroughly looking forward to seeing what yummy delights you come up with this time round. So much effort for you, for our viewing delight, but always be assured that we really do appreciate both your shopping and your cooking skills!
Thanks for taking the time to film your food haul. I am looking forward to the video in the stores. That had to be difficult and time consuming to a already packed day. I always love your cooking and preserving videos post shopping.
I’m new here and love your videos!! Thank you for taking the time to do them :) Just wondering if you do the same meals each 6wks? I have no idea how you plan and keep track of it all! Amazing!
There’s definitely similar stuff every 6 weeks, but I enjoy looking at recipes and trying new things, repeat meals are common, but it kinda depends on what I can get cheap too, the season and how I am feeling/time available in the kitchen. So I don’t have a set plan of meals as such but I definitely have like an internal list of meals that I can make with some of the basics I always have available to me! :)
I do enjoy your grocery hauls you show how you spend your money and at each store thank you for sharing GOD BLESS YOU ALL ❤️ We do appreciate all the hard work you put in your hauls and your meal's they are amazing also I do enjoy watching your videos. Thank you again for sharing sweet lady are summer here is about to start at the end of May my husband put out a garden I sure hope we have good harvest this year. Have a blessed day ❤️.
I absolutely love these videos... its is so interesting to me watching shopping videos in another country. I think you do an amazing job with keep the prices so low for your family. Cant wait for the next video!!
I really enjoy watching your hauls when you shop. I think you do a wonderful job with your budget. Hope you caught some rest after your shopping trip, I bet you were exhausted.TFS!!!
The aldi used to be cheaper than the woolworths, then it went up! I have bought the macro one too though, but one of my twins is autistic and doesn't do well with packaging changes lol, so he was a little urgh about the change, but I'll have to remember again, because I can always buy both! :D
That box of trimmings looks really good, hope it;'s tasty, nothing like I was expecting it to look like. You also seem to be really good deals from your fruit and veges shop. Good to see some extra meat in the shop too, seems you really want to get some more on the shelf
It seems like really good quality, and really their mince is and he said they do nothing but mince these trimmings, I'm pretty excited to get into them and see if they're versatile enough to use in diff ways too, at 9.99kg its cheap beef! I do, I am very lucky that Adam is happy to take me through the cold room and let me pick boxes of whatever is in season, currently cheap! He looks after me well!
Hey Nyssa, wow that was a great win getting the beef for mince from Costco!!! Just shows it pays to ask! Glad you planned ahead some birthday cooking as your 40th will be in this shopping period. I thought oh yeh you haven’t made beef pie in a while 😂🤣😂 I really hope you write a cook book one day, so many of your recipes have become my fav too. Awesome that the broccoli made it home still in the ice!!! Great stock up shop & not too many things not available. Not sure why but white vinegar is super hard to find atm down here. Massive effort, well down Nyssa 🥰
They had the boxes of white vinegar the 4x4L but it’s so bulky and I still have 3 x 4L so I refrained! Heh, I don’t buy beef that often because of the price but thag rump is 16.99kg and the beef trim from Costco 9.99kg and it might work for pie too! Be nice to add it on regular rotation!
@@OurSmallFootprint That would be lovely if you could have the beef pie in your rotation, everyone seems to love it. Such a great comfort meal for winter with mash! Noticed Apollo & Sonnet are really shooting up atm, can really see the difference between the younger three & A.
Great haul!! Your meat prices scare me... but then reading comments realizing the currency and weight differences. Just like here, you have to save a buck where you can. Would love to see the process video. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the food prep.
Hi Nysa, I think you’re amazing. To get all the shopping done and travel around 800 km, then all the tasty cooking on your BBQ and outdoor kitchen. Hats off to you! Can the beef trimmings be packaged smaller and frozen? Just wondering.
We've had them as well, great price! I find that my Aldi Trolley is always so full, so I started buying them at Coles because that trolley isn't normally as full lol, but I'll have to buy the aldi ones again next shop and see if I prefer them! :D. We're not overly fussy about coffee, I like it dark and fresh ground (we use pourover or I do cloth cold brew) but so long as they're a nice strong bean! :D
Enjoy your birthday with all the goodies and treats. My birthday was Thursday- just crazy as I didn’t really sleep for 2 nights before and just crashed out for 15 hours.
Thanks for sharing Nyssa, I’ve watched a few of your grocery hauls (my fiancé thinks I’m a bit mad) but I find them so interesting/inspiring to see the creations that you’re going to make! I’d never heard of a papple either I’ll have to try and get some here in Bathurst. Very interested in the sourdough stuff too 😊
It's odd isn't it, like the planning and execution of my own hauls, you'd think I'd not want to watch anyone elses, but I do! Good inspiration! I had never tried a papple until last season when Adam at the F&V had them in stock then, they were fantastic, so when he offered me some again this month I jumped at it, they have this amazing texture, the crunch of an apple but the massive juiciness of a pear, I'll have to cut one on camera in my food prep!
Hey Nyssa ✋️Well done on your haul. It must be a relief to get it all done and get home. Now to see all your lovely food being prepared and cooked. 😊 Make sure you rest up. Cheers.
I've bought two kilo bucket of the same gravy and our neighbour has done the same, I buy the sane garlic as you to it last until ours comes up for harvest, I'm exhausted watching your haul, I do think you're amazing, your family are lucky
I love the gravy, I try hard not to over use it, so full of salt and stuff lol, but it is oh so tasty and comforting, especially in winter! :D I find one of these garlic things lasts us 2 shopping periods around about, depending on what I make, its great value.
Hi Nyssa. I bet your tired after your shopping trip. Such a hard two days. I think buying the beef for mince the way you did was great. Off to google to see what a kilo vs a pound is to get an idea of what it cost. Looking forward to your sourdough video. I’m a sourdough baker and am always curious to see how others manage and use their starters.
I am so glad I asked re the beef! That is exciting for me :D I really should do some conversions while I'm filming! I will try and remember that for next month to make it easier :D
Great haul as usual. So glad you got yourself some treats this month! 🎉 And I love that you found the beef trimmings and great deals on the produce. Looking forward to the food prep videos! ❤🇨🇦 PS Canada is so weird with pricing! All our meat and produce is in lbs AND kg. The stores like to advertise the $/lb because it looks cheaper but we use both measurement scales. I grew up just when metric was being introduced in schools so I’m pretty good with both … except kg/lbs for people’s weight. Can’t wrap my head around that for some reason. 😂
Babies will forever be in lbs lol, even though I've never ever learned lbs in schooling or anything lol. It is just the measurement that makes sense! I am pretty good with lb/oz because a lot of canning recipes are in it, so I convert in my head fairly well, but it would be nice if we all did the same lol! I'm so glad I asked about the beef! you never know if you don't ask! :D
Wow 😯 what a grocery shop but I really like seeing what you buy every 6 weeks . And if you don’t mind me asking what is the minced meat? Is that like hamburger ? I live in Texas and we get ground up beef at the store that what we call hamburger meat and our pork comes the same way ground up .
Yes, our 'mince' is basically your 'hamburger' I mince my pork myself, to make sausages and breakfast sausage etc, but I was buying beef that was minced up for me, but its messy, and because I have a grinder, I can pick and choose what size I grind it myself :D
Yay!! Thank you for taking the time to film these huge hauls! I really enjoy them! I’m actually finding I can make food last quite a bit longer than I think and you have inspired me to think about shopping a little less. So, the beef you got for mince is less than the price of the chicken thighs? Is that right?
Yes, 9.99kg versus 11.29kg for the thighs! So when I open one of the bags I'll show you guys whats in there, its hard to tell what cuts they are through the vacuum seal, but they're 'trim' so I assume they're things like the points of roasts that nobody wants, so they could be trimmed to more uniform size etc!
excellent meat haul,,the beef looks great, and it was nice of the company to sell you it that way,,a little extra labour but atleast you,ll get the grind your family loves xx
Hi Nyssa!! Gosh I love grocery day!! I make a Chinese BBQ Pork and Singapore noodles, it's delicious 😋. I'd be happy to share it if you'd like. The Char Siu sauce is very easy to make. Smiles at the rooster 🐓
@@lynneanthony168 heh, I’m sure a lot of people hate some of the sounds in my videos, the dogs/kids/roosters! I tried one of those mics that cuts all that background noise out, but I hated it, it was so much less… me.. heh
That was so interesting about the Costco mince and you able to get pre minced. Looking forward to you're use of that, mince and otherwise. Haven't been a fan of getting the mince from Costco myself due to the leaking etc as you mentioned. I have bought the organic mince from there, it's costly but fantastic texture etc. Being able to mince the grade you prefer will be a bonus. I have found that broccoli prices have been pretty good lately. Not ridiculous like they were. I will also look forward to your clothes and other item shop getting aired. Did you get to go out with mum for your birthday? I don't know what date it is, so Happy Birthday for the day. You must have a sigh when it is all packed away and dinner is done with upon your return. Another big effort, tick.
Thank you Carolyn my b'day is the 17th, so still a little bit away, and we don't do much for birthdays for the adults, but its still nice to use it as an excuse for a few luxuries! :D I haven't tried the organic, it is packaged much better, but just too expensive, I'm so glad I asked re the beef though, this will be so much better for me! the esky's are always covered in blood and then the bottom of the fridge and having to use the mince within the first few days, its a lot of pressure, very glad to give this method a go! :D It's such a long process putting it all out and filming it! But its worth it to share :D
Hey Nissa. I have dehydrated broccoli before. It’s been awhile but I remember liking it. The texture doesn’t rehydrate perfectly. A broccoli cheese soup base sounds delicious 🤤 I might have to try that.
I don't use my dehydrator much atm, its just a bit of a power suck, we need to figure out a better way to run it! But I think I'll def try the soup base, can never have enough soup bases! :D
Have you tried Sun drying? Not sure if it’s be possible in your area or worth the effort. Seen ppl use old windows for them. The stock sounds better to me though.
@@ariels6284 I keep on trying to put together a solar dehydrator but there’s a lot of aspects to think about with it, needs to be mobile so you can follow the sun, insect proof etc etc, I definitely want to do it but I think I want to ‘do it right’ and therefore it’s more of a long term thing, definitely needed once our fruit trees are producing
That was a great grocery haul, especially the beef to make into mince! I'd probably use some to make a huge curry. I usually do that and freeze into portions. I bet your exhausted by the time you get unpacked! At least every one helps you! I'm sure you'll sleep well tonight! Gotta spoil yourself, especially for reaching a milestone!
I'm definitely going to assess the beef when I open it, I have no idea what cuts it is but I reckon some of it could totally be cubed up for other uses! :D. Definitely exhausted lol.
Love these shops especially seeing what you do with all you buy Nyssa. One thing I saw you did not get was pearl barley, I'm sure you said in a previous video, you've been getting it from honest to goodness. Can't wait for the sourdough one when you upload. Worked out this would cost roughly €1600, although reality in Ireland would cost way more as very few places sell anything in bulk. Got to say, you done well with the fruit and veg especially the broccoli. Just bought a broccoli crown 350g for €1.55 and got a head of cauliflower weight 1.5kg for the same price.
We love broccoli too! It just doesn't last all that long, though I might try blanching and freezing some! I did get it from honest to goodness last time, but I also have been using dahl/split peas lately, we never used to like the lentils, but the split peas seem to be working well! and one less ingredient to buy if we're happy to use those because I already buy them for making Dahl with! :D
Our daytime temps are still good, even in the middle of winter. So we can get down to about -8 celcius during the night, but day temps are still 10-15, so perfectly bearable with a beanie and some winter clothing! we are very lucky in that way :D We do start eating dinner much earlier though, because as soon as the sun sets it gets really cold and our dining table is outside as well. We are planning on building in some more space eventually, but its just a time/cost factor that we haven't managed to get to yet.
I really enjoy the fruit/veg and meat hauls. I challenge myself to save money by buying on sale items also. Great job and can’t wait to see what you make. Get some rest 🌸🌸
Great haul the char Sui sauce is amazing (pronounced char sue) it’s my go to when I travel to Asia ! With the broccoli have you ever tried stir fried broccoli and beef ! It’s sooo good served with rice and quick to I blast freeze the beef and shave thin slices then it takes seconds to cook and is so tender ! Wayne good with those beef steak trimmings you’ll have ? Xx
We had it with some chicken and rice last night! :D. With some of the plum sauce I canned, tasty! :D. I will def do some with beef too, I'll prob blanch and freeze some of the broccoli as well! 8kg is a lot! :D
I'm putting a video together, I dunno how much it will explain, but I'm going to timestamp it so everyone can see the progress of the two days etc, hopefully it fills in the gaps! :D
Hey Nyssa! You are the grocery Ninja 💕 I love seeing what you buy. (Not in a creepy way lol) How fast does that 6-8 weeks fly around again? Take care xx Cathi xx 😘
@OurSmallFootprint have you sussed out the extra large chest/deep freezers on kogan? It doesn't drain our Tesla battery one. In saying that if we had the money I would renovate this house and the stairs doing up would have a stair well doing down to an underground cellar for food and alcohol storage. There would be 2 chest/deep freezers down there too. Our large chest freezer can handle half a cow but not much after that.
@@emmabeer5690 once we get the cold room trailer done, I’ll use the new hybrid one as a chest freezer and that will give us heaps of space! But for the moment I don’t want to add another appliance while I’m trying to get the cold room trailer done :)
Hi Nyssa, I would be interested to see how you fit your shop into the car/trailer!! How many shopping trolleys do you fill at each store? And lastly, what is SLS that you avoid in shampoo etc. What a huge amount of work over your trip then home and into huge food processing. I can't even think about starting it!! Exhausted just watching!
Because I'm by myself most of the time, I try to do only one trolley full at each place, that is actually what part of the other video is showing, things like I bought the sugar from Coles because I had room in that trolley and it would have taken up too much room at Costco that I didn't have and its the same price! I also took some footage of the whole car. I will try and get it all collated so it makes sense and is worth watching hehe. SLS is just a chemical that helps with sudsing of soaps, it doesn't worry most people! but Sonnet and Darryl get eczema pretty bad from it, they rash up and itch and peel and if I buy toothpaste with it, get ulcers. Darn sensitive family members! lol
Thank you for taking time to give such a long reply. Your trips must be like a military operation , especially what stores are out of things you expect them to have!
I use the same shampoo and conditioner as I am allergic to SLS or Sodium Laurel Sulphate. It gives me eczema and dermatitis. If you look for organic then they won't have chemicals which cause skin irritation.
Really love the food haul video this month. You got some awesome deals not to mention finding alternative sources for the products that you use. Were you able to fix the second fridge or will you be purchasing a new one down the road? I imagine you have to find one that fits your solar array system. Is there a way that us viewers could contribute in a way that you would be able to keep more of the contributions without fees digging into it? Asking as I would like to send a more sizable donation and knowing that you are getting it. Love the video and cannot wait for the next one.
Thank you Paula! Some superb deals! We got the fridge functioning again, kinda, I cleaned all the terminals, defrosted it for over a week, sprayed it down with vinegar etc, put a temp gauge in there that I use in my incubators and it was running at a nice even 4degrees while I was in Brisbane, but once we got home and loaded it up, its now only running at 10 :S. So its fine, it will be ok for fruit and veg, but need to not put anything else in there, so will shuffle things around and be grateful for what it is providing! Yeah, buying another fridge is hard, buying second hand can be risky being that we're on solar... newer is more efficient, but also more expensive. What I really want is a little cold room, so I've been scouring marketplace for some second hand insulation panels we can use to build one, or a refrigerated trailer (because then I could take that shopping and then bring it home and plug it in kinda thing!) But just haven't found anything within price point yet! We'll get there, but I appreciate and am very grateful for the offer off help! :D
I don't tend to buy the bigger packs, it needs to be in a squeeze bottle style for the kids to not waste it :S. and we have issues with ants if the containers aren't clean and sealed, so I would have to be the one to decant etc, I have looked at a local place in Brisbane that sells big buckets of honey for a similar price though and they have taps on them! I reckon that would work :D
With everything you already have stock piled, do you think you could live off it for an extra month if there was say an emergency and you couldn't get to do your 6 week shopping? Does that make sense?
That’s the aim, so that if I couldn’t make it we have an extra ‘shopping period’ avail. It would be a little lean atm with a lack of meat and stuff stockpiled, but we could manage if pushed!
unfortunately, no, we have hard clay soil, and no machinery to dig anything, everything is stored in barrels and totes and jars. I did just manage to buy a large trailer with steel framing that we're going to turn into a cool room though! which will make things so much easier :D
These grocery hauls attract a wide audience, it is why it’s worth the effort, not just for my regulars but to get put on more pages, so many people find me via these and have never seen anything else pop up :)
Happy early Birthday! I hope this year is the best yet! It's always fun to see the shopping. I would say that although people ask for footage of you shopping in the store, I too would feel uncomfortable. At the gym people take so many shots and are such dicks about it so I refuse to do any of the video posing stuff. I think your willingness to say why you don't do it and the fact that you say you don't is a boundary that like the kids giving consent to be on camera should be preserved for lots of reasons. Just my unasked for opinion. Anyhoo, neat info and I hope this haul gets you to at least 8k subs 😊
The footage I did take was purely of some shelves, and mostly it was when I got back to the car and showed what I got lol, which I think is still nifty, because I'll timestamp it to show the timing of the days! I also got permission from Adam at the F&V store to do a quick walk through with camera and it was a quiet time so didn't get any people in the shot! :D
Your meat is so expensive. We buy, half a beef a year for $16,00 US dollar. I can find, chicken & pork for 99 cents a pound, Turkey & Ham are even cheaper. I have a lot of freezers so I can do it. So interesting to me! Thanks.😊
Meat is something that doesn't seem to go on special here like it does for you guys, its always pretty consistently the same cost, every now and again someone has a big special, but most of the time, even specials are only a few bucks. I found somewhere to try half a cow and it is about the 15-17aud per kg, but that's dressed, so it ends up a lot more than that once you remove all the bones etc, because less weight, and it is just such a big investment at once, we also don't have huge amounts of freezer space! I see sometimes on US channels where they score things like chicken at that price on a super special and buy up big, so envious! :D
Holly, our entire population is the size of one US city. That means the cost of most items is higher. Fortunately for us, we are close to Asia, so clothing is cheap.
I forgot to do any USD/AUD conversions!!
For example, the chicken, thighs are 11.39/kg for me, which works out at 5.13aud/lb or 3.47usd/lb!
The total shop being 1789.64USD at current exchange rates.
Like you said, it sounds like a lot but if you divide that over the 6 or 6-plus weeks, it's not so bad.
@@cindydaniel6125 it feels like so so much when I do it, but that’s why I break it down, it’s not accurate because of the extras that aren’t food in there, but it gives me a measuring stick to assess!
Omg! I just noticed you are close to 8k subs! You’ll be at 10k before you know it 🥰 well done 💜

It is definitely a tetris lol. I love the texture of the mersey valley and it actually ended up pretty much the cheapest there! :D
Woohoo! Score! :D
Just an FYI it Grinders Coffee beans in the Coles coffee
Also the beans at Aldi are excellent and have won multiple awards
An awesome haul!! You got so much for your money I think!! I'm glad you treated yourself a little and got you some treats!!
I think it was a really great value haul, similar price to normal but there seems to be some solid extras in there! :D
Your vidios are so good. One of the best shopping hauls on ytube, you are going to go far and overtake some of the big channels I won’t mention them but everyone will know who they are.
Heh, I'm happy to grow a little more to help support us, I don't need to be huge! :D
excellent..you work so hard, not only providing for your family..but also providing information for us too..always informative..always funny..and love it..regards
Thank you Karolyn! :D
I def don’t think I would have attempted it with just the Kitchen aid one! But I think it will be absolutely brilliant!
Thank you :)
Thanks for taking the time to film your food haul. I am looking forward to the video in the stores. That had to be difficult and time consuming to a already packed day. I always love your cooking and preserving videos post shopping.
It's hard sometimes to remember to take footage, I'm just getting in there and getting it done! :D
You work so hard, I really enjoy watching you from England xxx
Thank you Barbara :D
This hall is amazing, your amazing the way you shop and cook delicious meals for your family.
Thank you Robyn :D
I do enjoy your grocery hauls you show how you spend your money and at each store thank you for sharing GOD BLESS YOU ALL ❤️ We do appreciate all the hard work you put in your hauls and your meal's they are amazing also I do enjoy watching your videos. Thank you again for sharing sweet lady are summer here is about to start at the end of May my husband put out a garden I sure hope we have good harvest this year. Have a blessed day ❤️.
Thank you Patricia and good luck with your garden!!
I'm in NY US and my aldi has really good dryed pasta. Its in a bag
The dried spirals and spaghetti I bought were from Aldi, They're slightly cheaper there, 79c per bag versus 99c elsewhere! :D
I absolutely love these videos... its is so interesting to me watching shopping videos in another country. I think you do an amazing job with keep the prices so low for your family. Cant wait for the next video!!
It's fun to watch them isn't it lol, not so fun to do the shopping! :D
Love watching your shopping vlogs xx ❤️🤗🙏🏻
Its weird how fun they are to watch isn't it hehe :D
I really enjoy watching your hauls when you shop. I think you do a wonderful job with your budget. Hope you caught some rest after your shopping trip, I bet you were exhausted.TFS!!!
I ended up crashing for an afternoon nap today lol :D
Great haul so cool that they sold you the beef to mince on your own so convenient and cost-effective.
I'm so glad I asked, much better option than buying the minced stuff for me! :D
Thanks!
New to your channel, glad to see your grocery haul. Lot’s of great deals. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome, and thank you :D
Looks like we are going to have more videos with all that you bought lol. Great haul
Lots of things to get through! :D
Great haul Nyssa! Just a thought on those packages of trim, you can also chunk it and can it for your shelf.
Yes, I'm going to have a look when I open the first one and assess it! :D. Great buy, cheaper than buying roasts! :D
Love this haul!! I’ve switched to the Woolworths Organic Rice Milk it’s only $1.65 and it tastes the same as the Aldi one ❤
The aldi used to be cheaper than the woolworths, then it went up! I have bought the macro one too though, but one of my twins is autistic and doesn't do well with packaging changes lol, so he was a little urgh about the change, but I'll have to remember again, because I can always buy both! :D
Great vlog as usual
Thank you Marie :D
I really should have clarified that, yes! Everything is in kg, so 2.2lb to kg, and the AUD to USD is different too.
I love your hauls so much.
hehe, thankyou! :D
WOW since it's only me it is alot of food but your family is 8 people so glad you made it home safe 🙂
So much food! lol, but I don't over do it, in my opinion, so I feel like it is within scope! :D
Char sui sauce is loved in our house. Goes great on fried rice.
I'm sure we've had it before, but I've been doing lots of meal plan ideas and wanted to give it a go! :D
Hi Nysa, I think you’re amazing. To get all the shopping done and travel around 800 km, then all the tasty cooking on your BBQ and outdoor kitchen. Hats off to you! Can the beef trimmings be packaged smaller and frozen? Just wondering.
Yes, I definitely could, I’m going to assess them once I open, have a look at what the cuts are!
Highly recommend the aldi dark roast coffee beans. We love them and so affordable
Can't wait to watch you use or preserve this haul.
Looking forward to it, but also kinda dreading it lol :D
Enjoy your birthday with all the goodies and treats. My birthday was Thursday- just crazy as I didn’t really sleep for 2 nights before and just crashed out for 15 hours.
Happy Belated Birthday! We don't really do much for birthdays for the adults, but its a nice excuse to buy a few extras lol.
I learn so much from you ❤
nawww, thank you! :D
Cheers.
It's definitely nice to have everything full stocked, though its also a bit of pressure to get it all sorted hehe.
I find one of these garlic things lasts us 2 shopping periods around about, depending on what I make, its great value.
Amazing haul. Some really great deals. Just post video's youre comfortable with. Hope you have a wonderful birthday!!😊
Some superb deals! :D
Already! Wow. It goes so fast.
It so does! lol
That is exciting for me :D
I really should do some conversions while I'm filming! I will try and remember that for next month to make it easier :D
Loved this video!
Thank you :D
Your background singers (aka the roosters) are in fine form😂
Lol, they love to be heard!
@@OurSmallFootprint crazy!
Great shop!
Got some really good deals in there :D
Thank you sharing love videos
Thank you for watching! :D
Great Haul!:)
Some great deals! :D. Thank you Tara :D
That was a quick 6 weeks.
It goes so fast! :D
excellent meat haul,,the beef looks great, and it was nice of the company to sell you it that way,,a little extra labour but atleast you,ll get the grind your family loves xx
Yes, I don't mind the labour! It also means that I've got more time to get through it, rather than having to get through the mince ASAP! :D
Awesome 😎
Some good deals this month! :D
Great video
Thank you :D
Hi Nyssa!! Gosh I love grocery day!!
I make a Chinese BBQ Pork and Singapore noodles, it's delicious 😋. I'd be happy to share it if you'd like. The Char Siu sauce is very easy to make. Smiles at the rooster 🐓
Always up for trying new recipes! :D. Thank you, yes, the roosters have to be heard every video, don't they lol :D
@Our Small Footprint I mention the rooster because tbh it used to annoy me but now I love him!!
@@lynneanthony168 heh, I’m sure a lot of people hate some of the sounds in my videos, the dogs/kids/roosters! I tried one of those mics that cuts all that background noise out, but I hated it, it was so much less… me.. heh
@Our Small Footprint I would never want you to be less you!! I love your channel roosters, kids, dogs and everything else. ❤️
I haven't tried the organic, it is packaged much better, but just too expensive, I'm so glad I asked re the beef though, this will be so much better for me! the esky's are always covered in blood and then the bottom of the fridge and having to use the mince within the first few days, its a lot of pressure, very glad to give this method a go! :D
It's such a long process putting it all out and filming it!
@@OurSmallFootprint Blanching and freezing, works well, good in stir fry's and pasta dishes as it does not really need a lot of cooking.
If your kitchen is outside how do you cook in the winter months😊
Our daytime temps are still good, even in the middle of winter. So we can get down to about -8 celcius during the night, but day temps are still 10-15, so perfectly bearable with a beanie and some winter clothing! we are very lucky in that way :D
We do start eating dinner much earlier though, because as soon as the sun sets it gets really cold and our dining table is outside as well.
Thank you Kelli :D
I'm watching cuz I'm interested in seeing the logistics of it all. If you don't post about that, then I'm gonna have to go back & binge watch.
I'm putting a video together, I dunno how much it will explain, but I'm going to timestamp it so everyone can see the progress of the two days etc, hopefully it fills in the gaps! :D
P.S. I blanch my broccoli for a few mins before freezing I think it helps.
I think I'm going to give that a try with some of it, and see how we like it, I do love broccoli!
Hey Nyssa! You are the grocery Ninja 💕 I love seeing what you buy. (Not in a creepy way lol) How fast does that 6-8 weeks fly around again? Take care xx Cathi xx 😘
So Quick! Its always interesting seeing peoples groceries, its weird isn't it lol :D
I love your channel we are from country vic
Thank you! :D
12:45 blanch it like I do, I buy it in bulk when in season and blanch them
I keep on meaning to blanch and freeze, but freezer room is a bit of a premium too! I will have to give it a go though :D
Wow... Your fruit and veggies seemed especially cheap this time. Great haul!
There was some fantastic buys in there!
Have you tried the Cloverdale Pure Honey Handypack 2.5kg for $24 it works out to be 96 cents per 100 grams. From woolies
Another great video
When is your birthday nyssa
Mine is coming up next week
The 17th :D. Happy Birthday for next week! Thank you Jen :D
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like you eat well... 😎
We definitely do, a little bit of time and effort and we eat some really good meals :D

Hi which megafresh vege shop do you go to?
Browns Plains :)
Do you have a cellar or a pantry room that you put everything in. I live in Georgia.
unfortunately, no, we have hard clay soil, and no machinery to dig anything, everything is stored in barrels and totes and jars. I did just manage to buy a large trailer with steel framing that we're going to turn into a cool room though! which will make things so much easier :D
1100 views in 4h!
What is ABC Sauce?
Sweet soy sauce it's thick and yummy
Kecap Manis is the name of it :D
