I'm not sure someone wrote this already but I'm quite sure there is a shader or some kind of overlay pre--enabled, which if disabled, makes those emulators run just fine.
@thegamelounge659 does the screen of your device works good? Got mine and it has an awful halo on the borders, gonna return it. And it's a shame because I really like this device
Miyoo mini is a good comparison since they have the same screen size but the MM plus is too big for a fair comparison imo, especially when it comes to comfort/"hand feel". that being said, I don't own a RG28XX but i can see it being good for people who want that small size without worrying about breaking an OG miyoo mini with how hard they are to obtain and scalper prices
Yes it’s a very personal thing. For me the size difference isn’t that great. The Miyoo Mini plus is still pocketable but it is a bigger device. You are right though this is a great alternative to the original Miyoo Mini. Thanks for taking the time to comment
Pease help, I have searched for hours with no solution to what seems to be a simple problem, I have a San Disk SDXC 64GB card, formatted to FAT32, I have an Anbernic RG28XX, I copied the files from stock SD card exactly to the new SD card, however no matter what the anbernic will only turn on with the stock sd card, even though the replacement is correct size, correct format and has exact same data, can anyone help?
I think the best thing to do is to get the Anbernic OS image from their website and then use a program like Etcher to install. This will give you the OS with no games. Then copy and existing content from your USB.
I'm on the other end. I feel like sticks get caught in the pockets. It having a small screen this is really meant for 16bit gameplay. I won't be missing the sticks
That’s great, I feel this device has an audience, it’s not a device I would recommend for all, but if it’s what you are looking for then it’s perfect. So I’m pleased it exists that’s for sure
@@sandplasma yeah, that makes sense. Especially if you don’t use that bulky looking case. Truth be told it’s probably all I’d need for retro gaming anyway. I probably wouldn’t play more than 8 & 16bit games
Man this is sick for doom and the screen size makes it part of the fun and I haven't got the best eyesight either will make playing them even harder 😂😂 yes it is a slightly twisted way to look at it but hey ho 😂😂😂
Who this is for: someone who wants a pocketable device and doesn't want to lug around a Backbone/Kishi. I'm so enthused by the looks of this, I'm planning to sell my Retroid Pocket 2S for it. The RP2S is too powerful, too complex (not difficult, just has too many options), and too large. Clarification: I have an RP2S, a Backbone, had a Kishi V2, and I use an iPhone 13 mini.
For sure. Ive gone through so many of these devices chasing a feeling. The 28xx is FINALLY the device that just live in my pocket. Everything that is bigger makes me wish for more power. I dont want to game on my phone but i dont want to buy a device that is the same size as my phone buy way weaker. Once the 35xx form factor can play PS2 games then ill sacrafice space for that extra. If I see sticks, my mind wants ps2, until thats possible ill stick to ps1 and under with a smaller device.
update to this: got rid of the RP2S; no regrets. it was overpowered for my needs anyway (GBA/NDS). sold the two mobile controllers too. got RG28XX but sold it. the buttons were a bit smaller than I'd like. settled on a RG35XX-SP for now. this feels perfect for me cuz I also sold a GBA SP at the same time as the RP2S, and this gives me that feeling. Plus it's small when I need to pocket it, and big when I play, so perfect form. the screen is Marvelous for my target platforms (GBA/NDS) - both size and image quality are great. the buttons are pretty good too. reviews keep mentioning the stiffness, but i think people are too spoiled :v as for having room for multiple devices in life, sure, but not if you're an unemployed student overseas. affording food is a higher priority
@@aiSage48 awesome story! Yea with money not being a concern at my age these devices are just supposed to fit into my life. Im a parent and already have SO much stuff with me and in my pockets. Just needed portable, semi durable device where I csn grab and play. Still love my 28xx. So much so that I got a cubexx for thr living room tablr amd my wife seems to love that device. Just bought a 35xxsp to audition, its literally showing up today. All the videos make me think that it will be too thick. But the bluetooth functionality to add a controller on the go is tempting for me as im trying to just play more games with people instead of doing ANYTHING on my phone. I even have a phone controller thing and my phone can bury all these devices performance wise, but having a dedicated device that only games is very attractive to me.
@@MikeVideos327 it is pretty thick actually, but fits inside jacket pockets fine. too cramped for pant pockets. would be nice if they could make it as thin as the original GBA SP, but maybe we'll get that next year. they just keep making more and more 😅 and yeah, i'm trying to reduce my tendency to pick up my phone whenever i'm bored, and this has helped a lot. if i try gaming on phone, i tend to just go back to doomscrolling social media after a few minutes anyway hope you enjoy the SP ☺

That’s probably true. Although I would argue in the Anbernic side then don’t ship it.
just install Knulli its better optimized
@@lukasgruber1280 Muos ftw
Where/How do I turn that off? Total noob here
Great and thoughful video, thanks. I agree about the carrying case, and is the reason I didn't order it because I wanted something more pocketable
Thanks so much for the comment. Glad you enjoyed. Yes I think they missed the mark with the case, looks great. Not functional
Awesome video, great to see a fellow UK content creator👍🏾I love the performance on this little thing because it's so small.
Thanks for the comment. Yes not many from the UK out there that’s for sure.
This device is great for the size I agree.
I use to go for the DMG color but the white/purple color looks awesome on this device. BTW install MuOS if you wanna see the H700 devices shine.
Yeah I love the retro colours of this. Even the orange!

Which Bluetooth dongle are you Using? 🙏
Can it use any bluetooth dongle to connect for controllers?
I believe so, the one I tried worked but can’t say for sure
I don’t think I’d want a system that didn’t have analogue sticks. Even having only one on the original PSP was frustrating
Agree, this is super niche for me, for a specific person that wants really small form factor 16-but gaming with a classic retro feel.

Does MinUI support DS?
Sadly not yet. Hopefully soon!
how to add Mario games?
You have to manually copy them over to the microSD card
@@thegamelounge659 copy to which emulator? NES?
@@wangwu9299If it's the NES Mario games you want, then yes.
Really Bluetooth controller work?
Howwww?
You need a BT dongle for the controller. Sadly it isn’t built in like the RG35XX-H
@@thegamelounge659 ohh okay. Do you recommend one?
Not really, the one I use is just a generic microUSB Bluetooth adapter
