I got a Kifaru pack last month and, man, I couldn’t believe what a difference a good pack could make. Prior to that I was using a molle pack w/ frame and an Alice pack w/ frame. Good luck on your hunt, I’ll be hunting WV this November

The Kifaru is amazing. And I don't say that about many pieces of gear lol. Good luck in WV!

Awesome hunt and thanks for the pack breakdown. Now that you are back , anything you would change if you were going back next year?

I've been watching a lot of mule deer hunts lately. I'm SO glad I'm going to get to see it filmed by a friend! Public or private land?

Cook Goes Hunting all public DIY!

Awesome, I've been noticing every single time these other hunters get into a herd on public land they are always right next to a private land fence. I'm sure you've done your research man just something I noticed.

what is your camera setup? thx

Paul Mehlhose Panasonic LUMIX g85 dslr with a couple different lenses. For this hunt I used the 12-60mm kit lens and a f1.4 25mm for low light footage. Small/light package that takes great video!

    You C1 Maven's, are they 8x, 10x, or 12x?

Dylan Chapman they are 10’s. They worked awesome on the tripod for this trip. Loved them!

Do they hold steady when holding them by hand? Heard a guy saying that higher magnification also magnifies the “shakiness.”
