Is Catching a Fish on the First Cast Unlucky??

Today on the water we caught a fish on the very first cast of the day... so that got me thinking about the old saying that its bad luck to catch a fish on the first cast. What do you think?

Nice video!! Not sure about the bad luck with catching a fish on the first cast. We have the exact same boat with only difference of me having a hyd jackplate and powerpoles It appears that you are getting on plane with no problems? My last time out I was having a very hard time getting on plane at all. Had my trim down and jackplate trim down. Do you have PVS plugs in your prop?

Thanks man! No I haven't really felt like it ever struggles to get on plane... I've heard the power poles add a good bit of weight to the back end, but it should still get up on plane pretty quickly. Might have to check with your dealer for other suggestions. No plugs in my prop - I'm using the one from the dealer... think its a 23P Fury.
