"The new city, Heian-kyō (平安京, "tranquility and peace capital", the early name of Kyoto), a scaled replica of the then Chinese Tang dynasty capital Chang'an, became the seat of Japan's imperial court in 794, beginning the Heian period of Japanese history." (from Wikipedia "Kyoto")
Not completely with wood. Abd the graves were built with stones, but they are under the surface of the land, if we enlveve the sol which covers the graves, you would see some buildings rensemble the stones churchs in europe.
Because of frequent earthquake in China, the wood joints would hold better and allows building to move, but unfortunately buildings were prone to lighting/fire.
每个人心中都有一个长安
There is a Chang'an in every Chinese heart
Love that short moment of going back in time when Chang'an was at its most majestic.

Since it is only an estimate, 35%-45% is more accurate
Wrong. China never had economy larger than India. That makes the fifty percent figure illogical.
Many poets during tang dynasty
Beautiful
Same style and layout to the city of Gyeongju,
Gyeongju is the capital of Silla dynasty in korea before

You can visit the ruins of Daming Palace, it is really big!

chang’an looks like a larger version of kyoto

kyoto is a smaller version of chang`an
At that time, Japan learned many aspects of Chinese knowledge, including architecture
基本上應該參考過紫禁城,也就是沒有綠化。其實這點是有點問題的。古代漢族很愛綠化、庭園化。滿族紫禁城是為了怕被暗殺,天天時時都怕

Why does ancient Chinese building always build using wood?
Probably because they're not completely and every people on earth builded out of wood. It's easy to carve and to assemble. Duh.
Well, as far as what we saw they're expert on it.
