- Film Like Stories program interviews Resurrection Ertugrul's world famous star Engin Altan Duzyatan.
Resurrection: Ertugrul’ is an epic story rooted in the historical events of Anatolia (modern-day Turkey). It is the tale of a daring character with enthralling love and a sense of justice that was strong enough to change the fate of the World. The nomadic Kayi tribe of the Oghuz Turks are on a quest to find a place they can finally call home. Ertugrul, the leader of the tribe, leads his people through perseverance against hardship while striving for justice and maintaining the traditions of the land. By battling his enemies with strength and bravery, Ertugrul consequently plants the seed that would lead to the founding of the Ottoman Empire, which had spread across three continents and ruled for six centuries.

Engin is one of my favorite actors of all time. I am from America and I would put him in the same caliber as Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr., and Keanuu Reeves to name a few. He is a really good actor. He also happens to be a very humble and down to earth guy.

Per Altan's comment about cinema being an experience, I joked with fellow addicts that watching Ertugrul should be a spectator sport! I had to watch alone. At first rather horrified by the initial fight scenes, I was very quickly cheering them on and wishing for heads to roll! I can't thank you enough for your wonderful portrayal of such an Islamic hero. So inspiring to watch a drama I could finally relate to. A huge fan in Dallas, TX.

the best series i have watched in a long time. i like the way islamic values have been showcased to the world. i could relate to so many incidents and theres so much that inspired me. especially the way they place their hand on their heart when they hear the name of our Beloved Prophet sallahu alihi wasallam. respect for culture . values , elders. a life changing experience. i would love to see him play the role of osman ghazi father. we would like to see more of him again and again. he is now become synonmous with Ertugrul ghazi. he was born to play this role and nothing else. i am in awe of this man. mashallah.

But within this short time span, I felt so much for the series; its unquestionable.What is surprising with my habit is, I spent some sleepless day n night to watch the series. It increased my iman.My most favourite actor is not Atlan, but Ertugrul.I admire the character. I feel for Atlan as a real Ertugrul.My best favourite actor in best series.
