I had a 2011 Aero. Was an excellent bike. It probably represents the coolest bike I’ve ever owned.
I know you say it’s not a classic, but these are a 40 year design (in spirit any way)
I sold mine to buy a 06 Blackbird and it was quite the change! (But fits me much better)
I’d never hesitate to ride/own a Shadow again. They are cool.

Great find. I picked up a 1995 Yamaha Virago 1100 (XV1100) with only 5K on the clock. I bought it from the second owner who bought it in 1996. Right after he bought it he injured his hip and couldn't throw his leg over the bike so it sat in dry storage until I bought it recently. I'm looking forward to getting it back on the road and I'll follow your videos on that bike for ideas I can use on my project bike. Thank you for another great video.

@jasonfisher4860 Thanks, Jason! I've owned the Vulcan 900 previously. It's a great bike as well, and I hope to feature one on this channel at some point. I hope you stay dry!

Nice! In the past, for whatever reason, I always had a bit of a negative view about V-twin cruisers. I do however understand what a "cruiser" is designed for and I like the style. My prior bikes have been cruisers although different animals (XS1100 Special, V65Magna) My current 03 VTX1800C has very impressive low end pull and torque! ...it's fun to ride for sure...although heavy and not great in the curves. It took awhile to get used to short shifting.
This Spirit has the basic look of my big VTX. I plan to keep it...But, definitely still interested in getting something different. I want something quick and lighter, decent in twisties, wind protection with optional luggage and touring capable. I lean back and forth between sport-tourer and adventure.

You've owned some nice ones, Eric! I have quite a few miles on a VTX1800C myself, and you describe the riding experience well. I plan to review one in the future. To me, cruisers as well as sportbikes are very narrowly focused in what type of riding they're comfortable doing. It's a good excuse to have more than one bike in the garage though 😉! Cheers!

Hey John hope everything finds you well in this comment I remember back in the day when I lived in Texas building homes I came across a 700 Sabre which is a CM cubic meter not a cc never knowing how rare that bike was. It was seized when I got it took me about a month and I had it running and the only thing that was really wrong with that bike was the computer and it would kick in and out of 2 to 4 c it was a V4 as you're probably knowledgeable to that all I can tell you is when it was running on all four cylinders you better have your hands tied on the grips. I wish I would have had the money to buy a new computer for that bike because she was beautiful and fast. Anyway you keep posting those videos and I will be posting my gs650g very soon. Up for sale make me an offer, under $11,000 mi and very complete with a lot of extras.

@josephdangelo1503 Hi Joseph. I owned the 750 Sabre years ago - it was a smooth, fast machine. It was essentially the same bike as the 700. Where are you located? If you're interested in contacting me directly about the GS650G, you can email me at: jonsmotorcycle@hotmail.com

I've ridden a bunch of Shadows over the years and liked them all.
They won't "catch" the KZ1000, but that was not the design goal.
Nice big loafing engine on the shadow.

@wdhewson Right on! They are relaxing and that's why most people buy a "cruiser". Cheers!

Wow Jon, big step out of your norm, a cruiser with floorboards.😲
Just looking at it, the tank looks small. Another 100 miles per tank bike?
The more a bike is modded from stock the less it's desirability for me. Centerstands are mandatory for me also. Just too difficult to do even basic maint. without one. Not bad looking though.

@Mannix2023 The price and condition were right. I've owned just about every brand and style of motorcycle at this point, and I hope to feature more variety on the channel in the future. My favorites are still the classic bikes, but variety is the spice of life. Cheers!

Oh dear ..... some of those "mods" really disturbs the bike's look . Making the windshield , skeleton hand rear view mirrors and the grips disappear would make the machine look so much better .

      @jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@straightchad8059 You bring up a great point, Chad! Like the looks of the bike, the mods people choose are very subjective. I have pulled thousands of dollars of mods off bikes over the years. But, you never know what the next owner will want, and I've learned to be selective in what I remove. Cheers!

How about range and mpg when you review it awhile, no reason to not have shaft on something like that, shield needs to go but a smaller more contoured one should replace it.
