That's wrong information! I have been in the biotech field and it is not because I did not get into medicine or engineering that I went into biotechnology. I was interested in molecular biology and genetics. Moreover, the basis of all medicine starts with the discoveries in biology and molecular biology. I have a masters from the UK. I would say the main reason students dont get jobs is because they lack specific molecular biology and practical skills needed for the job especially in India. Also, the biotech sector is not developed in India.
