I'd say cut them down to 13' or a little under. Sometimes they don't change the clearance signs when adding height to the road so there's a chance you could still clip some things.
Looks good still need fifth wheel cover. wish I could get to the show live right down the road from Crossville in Cleveland TN. on my way to Minnesota with a load of boats and won't make it back in time have fun and a safe trip
Unless I'm missing something, the measurement from the top of stacks to the ground is gonna be the same whether you are on level ground or on a angle. Really nice looking truck. You guys are doing a great job.
Your probably gonna loose your mind when u see all the show quality trucks in person. Truckers are a different breed than the kids from Daytona. All CLASS.
Whats going on with the shop? Still no concrete? Still think should of went with infloor radiant heating. It's so efficient. I would at minimum get the piping put in the floor as its cheap to do. Can add a tankless boiler later on.
I like them tall but knocking 12-15 inches off and giving it a slant back would be sick. Personally if it was mine, they would be gloss black cat stacks. Iv got a thing about cat stacks
The stacks are perfect man. Just right. Legal height. I have a CDL and my dad has been since the 80s and hauls buildings that routinely are 15 ft. You can pretty much always go around low bridges and there's not enough for it to be that big of pain in the donkey. Especially if it's an interstate and it's below legal height they will have it posted and have an alternative route
nice trim on the pipes. How come that inner headlight drivers side is black looks blown, that would drive my crazy. Oh do you have to put sticker saying not for hire on outside of the truck, possible ticket.
Ya know, when I was a kid in the 80's, out of all the people I knew back then, classmates, friends, family and neighbors, there was only one person I knew who preferred a Dodge to a Ford or Chevy, only one, I've noticed about 99% of those today who claim they like a Dodge, only really like them because of the Cummins engine, a engine that Dodge don't even build, but then again, 99% of those who claim to prefer a Dodge today are much too ignorant to know even that fact, lol, don't get me wrong, that's a sharp rig you have there, (I just looked again to confirm), YEAH!, it needs a chrome visor for sure, and btw, I couldn't even hardly tell you cut the stacks off, great video, thanks for sharing.
I personally don't like those led headlights you have. They look cheap like spider eyes. They make a lot nicer styles with the black chrome reflector. I think would go better with your style of builds.
Gregg, is this a hobby for you driving or do you actually drive for a living. Your truck looks great btw. I am happy you changed over to a manual trans also. She looks great
hey brother ,ya should put the bigger tires back on the front .They look much better on that particular truck .Get the interior upholstered as well .But she looks great .
When you go to the truck show keep track of how many people tell you that you door handles DON'T Match. You have a newer sleeper than cab. Dead give away. Show trucks don't have that.
I would have went with 13 ft that’s high enough I promise you if you hit anything you will wish u had You can’t depend on everything being marked and if it is it’s probably settled some or lower than you think Not a hater just saying Love the truck Wish it was stretched and had covered smooth deck plate from the back of the sleeper to the fifth wheel and all the way to the end of the frame and some chrome full fenders or the double hump fenders and a full light bar across the rear end Dam I got carried away lol
Would have done 12ft 10in. Give yourself just a little wiggle room for 13ft bridges. Heck even 11ft 10in isn't bad...then you can get into a 12ft roll up entrance. Your truck so do what you like.
The height of the stacks aren't the problem..... the stove pipe tops are the problem .... they either need to be miter cut or put some nice turnouts on it .... I have NO CLUE why anyone likes that stove pipe look
I'd say cut them down to 13' or a little under. Sometimes they don't change the clearance signs when adding height to the road so there's a chance you could still clip some things.
11’8” plenty high for a flattop and that way you can get in a 12’ door
Gotta put the led headlights in
Outlaw head lights are my favorite!
Looks good still need fifth wheel cover. wish I could get to the show live right down the road from Crossville in Cleveland TN. on my way to Minnesota with a load of boats and won't make it back in time have fun and a safe trip
Silent mike looking like Will Ferrell ribbon dancing from old school with that tape measure. Lol @2:50
Looks good but I prefer 12’8” or 13’. Especially with a trailer that’s not very tall
Agreed
Maybe a horizontal handsaw might be something to purchase. Make it easier to cut stuff.
Stacks are sick!!! Get on that custom front grill. Wrench works logo in it. Blacked out would look killer
So when are you going to do front air and 300” to 310” wheel base??
Unless I'm missing something, the measurement from the top of stacks to the ground is gonna be the same whether you are on level ground or on a angle. Really nice looking truck. You guys are doing a great job.
Greg you should look up twin sticks garage for Peterbilt content and just questions. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
They know each other lol they’ve mentioned each other before
Awesome channel. He needs more subs
Be glad you didn't go through Fort Worth east bound. They have a low clearance bridge there that makes me pucker Everytime.
Looks Sooooooo much better lowered.
Hey FINALLY got that red hunk of junk out of the driveway!!! LOL
Truck is looking awesome. Love the truck!!
Your probably gonna loose your mind when u see all the show quality trucks in person. Truckers are a different breed than the kids from Daytona. All CLASS.

What I was gonna say. It's spendy but so worth it. When I do mine it's definitely gonna get it.
I like them tall but knocking 12-15 inches off and giving it a slant back would be sick.
Personally if it was mine, they would be gloss black cat stacks. Iv got a thing about cat stacks

It looks fantastic! Good job!
Taller stacks looked bad ass Optimus prime never got fined for having tall stacks
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍💪
Pete looks sweet, look forward to the interior
Can’t help loving those big rigs, they are just bad ass!!
nice trim on the pipes. How come that inner headlight drivers side is black looks blown, that would drive my crazy. Oh do you have to put sticker saying not for hire on outside of the truck, possible ticket.
13’ 2” is the sweet spot 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Chrome driveshaft next? Definitely would look cool
Leave it to Greg to say don’t worry I’m not looking at your shorts 😂😂😂😂😂 come on sally man handle that stack off hit it with your purse lmao
Magic Mike knows how to handle those larger pipes…..
I love the taller stacks pete looks great
what happened to mikes F450?
Next gotta tackle those headlights.
Love the stocks! You made me want a peterbuilt for personal use! Lol
Some shorter stacks like a tractor pulling truck to go with the short roof would look good
Love the Pete. Definitely making goals for me GregA
Love stacks greg looks good i like them tall but yeah i guess cutting a short good thing i say y'all should good mesh grill
You should come up to Illinois to the large car shootout. Semi truck show.
Update on the shop? Waiting for rebar prices to go down?
Put tappers on it keep water out and looks cool
Greg o ray, dude those stacks still look tall af. Not mad tho, the pete has come a long way and looks good. Bro when is the dyno going in? 👀
I have a hard time liking the stacks because I love slash cut stacks. But to each his own
I personally don't like those led headlights you have. They look cheap like spider eyes. They make a lot nicer styles with the black chrome reflector. I think would go better with your style of builds.
Please get some Hogebuilt quarter fenders, that would be sharp!
Question why don’t you upgrade driver door and passenger door to match bunk door.
You can put in some led bulbs in the headlights
Where can I Oder some chrome rims like yours
Looking good. But man the rear fenders need changed and it would be a game changer.
I thought Michael sold his dodge dually and got the f450...?? The dodge is still at ur house Greg A...
In the video showing the 450 he said that mikes dusky was for sale
Unless things have changed since I was driving 13ft 6in was maximum height unless you're driving in Chicago they have low bridges everywhere
Another video. 🤘🏻🤘🏻. So going 13’5 and 3/4”. Lol
Not the latest trick of the week, but I still like the miter ( angle ) cut .
You need to replace that black eye on the front left, it looks terrible!
Gotta put some different mudguards
It lookin good you should mount some lights off the mirrors
It needs the two inch amber and red leds
I'm just going to say, I loved the tall stacks
Great expensive, bad ideas. LMFAO 😂😂
Gregg, is this a hobby for you driving or do you actually drive for a living. Your truck looks great btw. I am happy you changed over to a manual trans also. She looks great
Quarter fenders please do something with them
Ya never did answer on the 97--379 parting out.
i love the tall stacks
Then you be like the dirt haulers if you leave them short
hey brother ,ya should put the bigger tires back on the front .They look much better on that particular truck .Get the interior upholstered as well .But she looks great .
Looking great
5th wheel cover also
poner por favor traductor para los comentarios
Looks way better. The stacks were way to tall lol 😂
I think yhe Pete needs a bigger turbo or some hudge compounds
That poor bumper
Full fenders would make a world of difference
When are you gonna talk about what happened to the decking on you new trailer?
What engine is that
Rain caps?
Yeah. But Greg them stacks are gangster Love em 💪🏻💪🏻🤙
When you go to the truck show keep track of how many people tell you that you door handles DON'T Match. You have a newer sleeper than cab. Dead give away. Show trucks don't have that.
Headlights Greg. Headlights.
Love the truck
Got to love the pete
Can you fix that one headlight on the Pete? Lol
Stacks look good and so does the stance on the front end.
I would have went with 13 ft that’s high enough
I promise you if you hit anything you will wish u had
You can’t depend on everything being marked and if it is it’s probably settled some or lower than you think
Not a hater just saying
Love the truck
Wish it was stretched and had covered smooth deck plate from the back of the sleeper to the fifth wheel and all the way to the end of the frame and some chrome full fenders or the double hump fenders and a full light bar across the rear end
Dam I got carried away lol
That would be bad to the bone to lower your quarter fenders just a suggestion
Do you even work the truck??
Should’ve just sent it, maybe went taller😳 but when is the new front bumper coming?
All I can see is the tweak in the bumper
Lookin good
buy a bandsaw. it’ll come in very handy
Would have done 12ft 10in. Give yourself just a little wiggle room for 13ft bridges. Heck even 11ft 10in isn't bad...then you can get into a 12ft roll up entrance. Your truck so do what you like.
should have added flappers , wuold be sick that size!!!
Yeah honestly think another 4-6 inches off and they would be perfect. The truck looks amazing regardless keep the builds coming it’s amazing content!
I would have went 13' even
What type of engine do you have in at 379?
Cat 6nz
What year is that 379 from?
03
@@rg835 Thanks
Now dear God please fix the head light !
Put some bull hauler style stacks on it
Wow!!!! Big difference lol
Still needs interior
Nooooo!!
The height of the stacks aren't the problem..... the stove pipe tops are the problem .... they either need to be miter cut or put some nice turnouts on it .... I have NO CLUE why anyone likes that stove pipe look
Ok
If 13’6” is legal. They need to be 13/6.
Tall as possible pal.
Tall stacks, low bumpers………..😎
Still to high take another foot off and then we'll see
