How can I just let you walk away,
just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me,
when all I can do is watch you leave
Cos we've shared the laughter and the pain,
and even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me
is against all odds and that's what I've got to face
I wish I could just make you turn around,
turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
so many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
But to wait for you,
well that's all I can do and that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now,
'cos I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
That's the chance I've got to take, oh, oho

I love how Al is always looking directly into the camera
Brian just kickin' it back, playing on the ivories..watching his brothers, cousin and Mike jam out to a catchy tune. Wonderful!!!
I wouldn't say Mike is "wonderful". The others, absolutely. Love is the biggest cunt in the history of music and ruined this great concert. It was all Carl, Dennis and Al here. Brian's brain was already fried and Mike was his usual unbearable self.
@@taroobsingh2158 - You're an idiot.
@@taroobsingh2158 stupid idiot
@@taroobsingh2158 An asshole but he has a great voice
mike love rules !
Agreed! Great frontman. 👍
i didnt know Al could have such a nice falsetto!
HAHAHA I love Brian at 2:18, when the song hits its climax he's just playing and looking up, and not giving a shit! Brian the man!
I Love Love Love Carl Wilson
Carl rocked! Inspired me to take up the guitar. Dennis inspired my brother to take up the drums. 😎
In this video, it is clear, once again, that when Dennis was "ok", the Beach Boys were a different band live.
Who's the falsetto on this ?
Neil Noble I think that Al Jardine took the falsetto for this on that night. I think? It definitely wasn’t Brian... sadly.
ALL I CAN SAY IS..."THANK GOD FOR DRUGS"✌️
Definitely
@@neilnoble1771 Al Jardine in the white suit.
An absolutely superb concert!
Who noticed Mike Love singing Papa Oom Mow Mow at 2:22? 😍😍
Lol I like how al Jardine and Carl Wilson both look at each other rocking out planning to do their little dance thing. I honestly think Al can sing a whole lot better than Mike love. At least he still sounds the same today.
You are so right.
This is for all the Beach Boys Fans ........Love and Mercy..!....from a die hard Beach Boys fan ....Dennis You are so Beautiful to me ....and Carl God Only Knows....LOVE YOU GUYS ....!!!!!!
My god Beach Boys concerts in those years must have been crazy fun to be at😲
Totally good time was had at Beach Boys concerts! They were so fun! I miss those shows.
I saw them at Carnegie Hall in 1971 and then twice a year in NY from 1972 - 1975 (front row at the 1975 concert with Chicago) - in those years, their concerts were spectacular. In Nassau Coliseum one time, Billy Joel and Elton John joined in an encore!
You don't know what you missed!
Attended many of their concerts in the 70s and 80s and they were brilliant!
1:45 is the start of something as rare as a Sasquatch sighting.....A Beach Boys quitar solo.
This is fuckin great.
Why...Dennis and Carl...come back to us...
Kind of laughable how much better than everyone else these guys were.
Absolute superstars
Damn these guys could rock!
Absolutely love this video! Great close ups of Carl!!
I love the beach boys. Todays music aint nothing.
ah man what a great gig for them they looked like they were having so much fun :D
I LOVE that Brian has a drink on the piano right next to him.
Pretty sure it's Dennis's drink when he played piano earlier in the show. If you watch the whole show you can see Dennis drinking during it and sort of losing control. Sad, but not surprising what happened soon after.
a great performance, great band, just awesome. I love the girl big shout at the beginning of the song 0:27
It´s amazing see an old band playing together again after many years... I love The Beach Boys!!!
and Me too!!! Now what'll happen to THAT place if we all go show up? Really rockin' amazing!!
At 1:36 carl be like "You do the guitar solo boy" 😊
I love the beach boys and I was born in 1996. :)
I think this is the first time I have seen Bruce Johnston play the guitar. Go Bruce!!! Also Carl and Denny rocking out guitar and drums......that's the best part. Good try Al on trying to sing Brian's part, at least you tried. Brian on piano is awesome too see.
Jen Lynne it is actually Dean Torrence's part, not Brian's
I mean, Bruce was brought in to replace Brian on bass (which I'm pretty sure he's playing here) and he could certainly play surf rock from his Bruce & Terry days so it shouldn't be too surprising, but good to see him get out from behind the keyboard.
At 0:18 is Al throwing a frisbee back out to the crowd?
Also- must be one of the last great performances of Barbara Ann- and YES- that coordination between Al and Carl!
Al saves the day with the falsetto!
i love the part when they start dancing it is so funny
Lovvvve oldies! :)
Love their little dance! :D 1:45
SOUUU GOOUUD
i love saved by the bell
@JDrevolver66
and he was a great guitarist, just watch the 68 clip of bluebirds over the mountain or surfin usa, i think the knebworth or live aid version, he should have soloed some more, also some alan jardine solos would be interesting to hear.
@JDrevolver66
well, it would be even better with Brian on bass and Falsetto, like in the earliest days, and they really don't need a backing band, by the way, is that carl playing the solo?
Cool thing about this particular tune is it's an "all beach boys" led tune- Al on Falsetto, Bruce on Bass guitar, as opposed to Ed Carter etc helping them out on the other tunes.
La canzone infinita.......................
To my highly trained ears, this song sounds more rockin' and a-rollin' than rockin' and a-reelin'.
For everyone who is watching, which performance of Barbra Ann is better this performance, the Jack Benny 1965 performance, or the 50th Anniversary Tour performance?
Now I get why people want go back into the 70's 80's...And I'm only 16,and I won't ever regret it!F*ck internet,I wanna be ROCKIN' AN ROLIN'!!! \m/ (^_ ^)
"Rock on"
@NLFilms Thats Great Man lmao
final live concert with all original beach boys, minus david parks
David *Marks
My theme song. Lol, still just as good as I remember it to be.
👍
Can't find the video, filmed live at the beach ..it was so cool, they even muffed up the lyrics!..😂
Carl: so cool, so cool ... miss you
@TechnoPath99 Brian is sitting at the piano (they show him briefly after the solo when all the other members stand up from kneeling.)
Brian was absolutely worthless at this concert. Those two big glasses of "water" were no doubt Vodka. GOD he was horrific at this point.
I know this is from June 21, 1980, and some people say it’s June 20, 1980, but who knows the real date I believe this is on June 21, 1980.
barbara annn! Jurkes
alguien me puede decir si falta 1 en el grupo me acuerdo de uno alto que sale en videos antiguos
Brian Wilson. He's on the piano.
Brian Wilson. He's on the piano.
It's pretty sad when you need a kid's movie to bring you to a video of one of the biggest bands of all time
Thumbs Up because I know the beach boys for more than 15 years now :)
Al did a nice job there
@RankielGuitar Al's falsetto was great in the 60's... there's some concerts floating around the internet in mp3 where you can hear it.
It's really sad what happened to Brian... in 1973 he still had the "normal" voice and then when he came back in 1976 it was gone.
Yeah but he's a "genius" according to everyone. Maybe so, but the worst singer in the group by a mile.
lets dance
i heard this in "Surf Ninja" waaaaaaaaaay back!. thumbs up if you remember that movie
2:14 love to see Carl rock out that solo!
that would be ed carter
Al Jardine rules!!!!!!!!!!
Anybody know if that was Billy Hinche on keyboards?
BA BA BA BANANA!
Banana!!!!!
at 2:18 is brian wilson?
On this day in 1961 {May 8th} the Regents performed this song on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand...
One week later on May 15th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #13 and spent 10 weeks in the Top 100...
Group member Ernie Maresca had a solo Top 10 record in 1962 with "Shout! Shout! (Knock Yourself Out)", it reached #6...
Five years later in 1966 the Beach Boys covered "Barbara Ann"; their version reached #2 {for 2 weeks}...
R.I.P. Mr. Clark...
Dude did you know that guy is a complete nut! I saw him at the concert in the park couple of years ago, even Ozzy Osborn said Brian was as crazy as a box of frogs! And he said Brian was madder than him! They probably tied his feet to the leg of the Piano to keep him still! lol
I totally love how bad they are when they try to dance.
@RankielGuitar Yeah. At some point in the 80's they decided to hire someone else to do it because Jardine wasn't able sing it anymore.
What the fuck are you talking about? It's 2018 and Al Jardine still sounds the same as he did in the 60's while Brian sounds like a first round American Idol reject. Check your facts dude, Al is the only true Beach Boy left.
@@taroobsingh2158 Chill out dude. I was talking about the falsetto singing duties. Al Jardine stopped singing the falsetto parts in live shows in the 80's. Brian is 77 years old, respect the man.
Bababa Babanana is what i hear. XD
I heard this back when i was like 12---- im 24 now lol..
jesus christ. why do people come on here for conan and not for the beach boys? i'm scared america, REAALLLY SCARED. already big part of culture and always has.
Bananaaaaaa
Potato naaaaaa
Did you know Al sang all the falsettos in this concert?
Er. Nice one. Way to make yourself look intelligent. It's Barbara Ann. You really think they were singing about a hairdresser?
Why does Mike start singing "Papa oom mow mow" near the end? "Stop fucking with the formula" is what they should have told him.
Because he's an egotistical ass clown.
ooooooooow .......now that's Sour
its very funny
Green ,
Well, How Clinton & Ohbama doing....
Not sad,it was just a diferent way of discovering it. Not everyone was born at that time. If everyone keeps looking at the past only, they are gonna miss theyre present., :)
@Halkalooki Brian
This iz for you Ryan x Uma
I came because of the Surf Ninjas! Does somebody still remember that?
Didn't the quiet big guy on piano write all these songs?
THUMBS UP if your listening to this 2013!!!
wonder if all the views are from despicable me 2
What is sarcasm?
haha lol
***** Bobby Figueroa :)
Yes! My brother loved Dennis and Bobby. Inspired my brother to take up the drums.
POTATOOOEEE!!!!!
Thumbs up if Full House brought you here
@OropherThranduil
So true about Brian :(
And It's always Really annoyed me that they toured with such an unnecessarily large band- people like Carter add nothing interesting and are just irritating. the boys were fine on their own. Chaplin and Fataar were fine but extra musicians arent needed. Carl Doesn't appear to be soloing here tho
My name is Dave and I'm a minion™
singing abot me ...:)
Despicable Me minion's banana song brought me here
...the beach boys brought me here
@Neto808 oh that sucks... but it's worst for Brian, his voiced is destroyed forever now
Yeah, he's playing the white piano.
Blind Guardian brought me here.
thumbs up if beach boys and despicable me both brought u here
thunbs up if you knew this before than despicable me 2
Pentatonix brought me here
