I drove over to John Hughes Used Cars - Victoria Park, Perth WA. I had parked my very old Honda Accord in the visitor's car bay.
First thing the sales guy said to me 'Is that your car, I give you 50 bucks for it?' And he was being dead serious. It set the tone immediately.
Later in the talks about the optional extended warranty which cost a fortune, he exclaimed 'Do you know Asian people??' 'me: Yea sure.."
Him: "Well, uh, Asian people always go for the extended warranty because they're really smart!"

I thought everyone knew buying a new car is bad bad economy. It’s only good (or not terrible) if you keep that car for a long long time. I bought a (new) 2019 BMW 430i in the UK for £25.000, the car had 60 miles on it but was standing at the dealer for a year. I bought it in 2020. Now I traded this in for a 6 months old 520d estate car, gorgeous car. I got £17.000 for the 430i and paid £39.000 for the 520d. So I only lost £8000 in 4 years, I can live with that…

If you go to Porsche Doncaster, Spiros will evaluate your car under $30k and ask you to deal first subject to test drive. It’s Porsche for effing sake! They try to sell fruits… all smoke and mirrors!

Paul, doesn't matter. Keep the 330i and forget about shitty EVs. I've got an old E92 330i coupe since 2013, best purchase I ever made in my life. Now with 155k km on the clock, going strong. My next car if I ever need one will be a Lexus or Toyota diesel with the 12V battery to make it "eco", as I do 130 km a day.
