- After weeks of wet and stormy weather we're back in the field, harvesting 3rd cut grass silage.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
Views may be down because you don't post videos very often. Many of us were waiting and waiting...one young farmer I watch posts most every day, of course he is single and has more time. But your videos are OUTSTANDING, beautiful cows, scenic land, hard working all day long. You are a fine farmer in your beautiful place. Maybe you can show more of your family if they agree but we do love your beautiful cows, nice dog, chickens and everything about your farm. God's peace be with you and your family.

Looks a great 3rd cut 👍 we're still try to cut all first cut i know back in june i wanted rain we haven't had more than two days dry in a row been impossible to get anything done until now but rain again tomorrow

Beautiful Awesome video! I love seeing the EuroBoss filled with grass silage😃 Bud you know i am perplexed to why your views are down too or why subscriptions not rising like it should be🧐 I read some of the comments. Life is repetitive we all seem to really do the same things every morning! Maybe Bud, you caution to much on the side of wanting to be safe and viewers want to see more of who you are. Are there hardships that set your daily work life or your life back, yet show us the good times too, smile? "Bud you are the star this is your life and your play ground", it can't all be strict? I think you just need to capture more of the essences more like take us to the hardware store, take us to lunch etc. "It's a learning curve to run a channel and you are definitely on the right path, this is one beautiful channel"!! I see on the news here a week or two ago parts of Slovenia had severe flooding were you affect where you are
With the red sky over the farm it looked beautifully and the scenery were the heffers were in the sunshine awesome

Yeah, a bit old though 🙂 yes it was really bad but we weren't affected at all, we are on a hill and away from rivers 🙂 thank you! My views have dropped a bit but I appreciate all of you who still likes to watch! 🙂

We've been busy with 2nd cut here. July and start of August were very wet so the fields are in a rough shape. Haven't gotten anything stuck yet though. We're hoping for even a little bit of 3rd cut. Looks to be a bit dry again, but that's going to be good for harvesting cereals.
Well thats good, as long you can get in and out of the fields... 😁How is the yield?
@@farmerspov4709 alright. June was still too dry after first cut so it didn't have the best start, but eventually it grew. Cereals probably aren't going to be too good, but winter wheat looks alright. Hopefully they're going to be dry. Drying is expensive with these fuel prices.

Hello Jasper , wow the grass cutting is really thick and green looking real good. Won’t be long you’ll have to get new chickens and put the ones you got in freezer. We always get about a dozen eggs or so a day out of 20 hens and have one rooster. When it’s time we harvest our chickens and start all over again with young chickens an rooster. Do you do the same with your chickens? Don’t care to work out in rain that don’t bother me it’s the lighting , I’m don’t like. Glad to see your getting extra cuttings of silage . Know just fill your hay load up real good .
Hi! Yeah it had enough rain this year 🙃 yes we do the same but we don't have rooster. Also we get more than two eggs as shown in the video 😂
@@farmerspov4709 I figured you get more eggs then just two 🤣. I been canning and getting stuff out of my hotbed gardens and what I don’t have I go to flea markets to get. Almost done have three more things to cann then done this year.

I'm curious; The structure where you put the silage is open on both ends, but yet you back in instead of pulling in? Just curious.
Well on the backside there is a ~1,8 m wall so we have to fill it up to be able to drive trough 😉

Das muss ja auch immer alles bezahlt werden...und bei den heutigen erlösen aus der Milch nicht immer einfach zu realisieren...klar würde man etwas einsparen aber erstmal muss ja die Investition getätigt werden...was nicht immer einfach ist.
Verfolge ihre Videos schon länger und finde sie immer wieder sehr schön!!!

Yes, we ran out of corn silage.
