- San Diego zookeepers were able to distract the silverback gorillas and move them out of the enclosure to allow officers from the city's humane society to safely leash the dog.

Gorillas aren't as vicious as they're made out to be in movies. It's chimpanzees that you have to watch out for.
Chimps and baboons eek!! Gorillas are gentle giants orangutans like to bite I know because of working with all the great apes.

the other older Silver Back went behind the rock...he was like "let me go over here, I'm not having no parts of this".....that was too funny!!......he was not really trying to get him....it was probably refreshing to have a visitor...it was a little excitement for them

Are you fucking kidding me? That reporter called Gorillas Predators. They eat FRUIT! Those teeth are for defense and the Silverback was protecting his family and territory. And more than likely the Silverback would've bashed the dog multiple times.

@@ducksinarow3172 not their primary food source. I am aware that some herbivores, like deer, eat small amounts of meet for calcium and other nutrients not gotten from plants. Saw a deer clip where a deer ate a living chick that fell out of its nest. They are still mainly herbivores. Another example are hippos. Never seen a video of them eating meat and they are attacked enough. Most herbivores simply aren't designed to eat meat on a daily basis.
Way over sensationalize, probably the most enrichment those gorilla's have had since they were thrust into captivity, looked like both the dog and ape's were having fun.
They were born in captivity.

They all looked like they were having a blast..the gorilla wasn't charging he was just chasing the dog and your right it was very playful all in fun.
@@b.k.3364 there's a place called gorilla Island and the silverbacks always grab the deer to hold and pet them...I think he would have actually liked the dog .

This was my 1st thought as well. I mean if an animal can get in can’t an animal get out. Unless maybe he fell in from a height that wouldn’t be able to be reached from below. Then the next concern would be could a child or human fall in. Hopefully they will investigate this further.

How many times has a dog, cat, or squirrel, wondered into a Zoo and got into the gorilla enclosure? If this dog wandered in so easily into the gorilla enclosure why didn't the dog wander right back out of the gorilla enclosure, and maybe take the gorilla's out with him to wander around the zoo. Jeez, really, just wandered into the gorilla enclosure. 🙄

There's a terrible video on TH-cam of a kitty getting into the big cats enclosure. She suffered horribly, had a leg ripped off, before she finally died. As far as the dog, I wonder if he was placed in the enclosure or fell

Dog has more sense than people. He wandered in there by accident probably looking for water. Because he sure wasn't going there to see no gorilla. Not like some stupid humans. They want to reach out and touch a gorilla petta gorilla. At least he has enough common sense to run away and keep running stay away from that crazy animal
