- These fault codes can set for a number of reasons. Lets go over some of these reasons. The Dodge Charger Magnum 300 or any car with the 3.5L engine in it. P1004 P0660 P0661 P0662 p2004 p2006
Thank you for making this video. I especially liked it when you showed your computer work screen, what I mean is, you showed to us what many dealerships and mechanics won't show to anybody. This was very helpful to me and it gave me a better understanding of how important having a proper scan tool / computer set-up really is in order to repair these cars now a days. Thanks for being honest with this fix, seems like today's cars are made to be thrown away after 5 or 6 years of use so the banking system can keep everyone under their control. I have a 2007 Dodge Magnum and when I'm standing still it have a vibration and it cuts off and when it cuts off it don't cut back on I have a cold or P1 004

What type of computer will one need to reprogram the or calibrate , will a regular scan tool do this ???
I had the same problem. I purchased the Mopar OEM part from the dealer, I've tried other brands like Dorman with no luck. Once i put the Mopar runner valve codes went off.

At least it doesn't go into limp mode with this problem and you can drive it for a while put a brand new plenum is quite expensive I guess the internal mechanisms just get all gunked up can't really fix that( I have 2010.. 300. 300k miles)

Here’s my question.. if Dodge had a faulty design on the PCM and whatnot with this short runner and put the TSB out on it, they charging people to bring it in and reflash it?

I have a 2.7L on a 2009 Charger. I've been doing some research and I the intake manifold shows on some 2.7L and on some it shows as just cover with like a flat piece. I'm getting a P2017, also upon research I find that it tells me to replace the short runner control valve. However, mine doesn't have it. I'm completely lost here.

Do you mean to clear the code? Because I replaced the short runner and cleared the code several time but it still popped out to me.
My friend, you have an active problem..This is really the best time to properly diagnose the circuit..you may have to load test the wiring from the short runner valve to the PCM to find any wiring problems

No, if you talking about the blade flap inside the intake manifold..if the motor/actuator is off, that flap should turn with ease.

This might be a silly question but is there suppose to be oil inside the circle area where the short runner goes? I had my intake manifold replacement by a mechanic friend. I recently just replaced the short runner valve control motor. And the RPMs are still moving slightly? What else could be the issue? My code reader is old and not mine so I'll take it over to someone to erase the codes. Was saying P2017 now just P1004. Ty in advance. Dodge Magnum 2007 3.5 btw
No when you take your short runner off there should not be oil in there
I have an 06 charger. When I looked this part up I can only find for 07 and up....is it different?
Hello, It depends on the build date of your car. In some cases, they will need your VIN to find parts because the number changed split year.. I would call the dealer, give them my VIN and get the correct part number for your car..They can tell which one will work on your car using the VIN. Please subscribe to the channel for me, thanks
