I think School Days gets a bad wrap because people only know the series for the worst possible ending. That's like if the Clannad anime decided to go for the "I'm gay for Sunohara" ending (yes... that's a real ending in the original game) and people labeling the entire series as garbage. Not that I'm saying the other endings in School Days are any better but... y'know lol.
To be honest I'd kinda like to see that ending XD Though to be honest, what school days tried to accomplish is being done unspeacably better by Kuzu no Honkai, so in case people are intrested in the principle, they should watch that :)
Honestly. Makoto was a shell of a boy before Sekai intervened. If Makoto had found Kotonoha on his own, things might have turned out better. Then again, the anime pretty much picked the worst choices you could make in the game, School Days HQ.
+MasakoX True, though historicly Makoto's family had a really screwed up history. I'm not sure which of the routes from SD ended uping becoming canon though...
Oh, of course. If you look into the Itou family, his father was the ULTIMATE gadabout. There's a theory going around that nearly all the characters in School Days are somehow related to Makoto via his father.
But even when you try to steer Makoto towards Kotonoha and ONLY Kotonoha, he still does some very despicable things. Any of you who watched Masako's playthrough KNOW which scene I'm talking about.
Miranox No. The only realistic thing is that a guy would sleep with multiple girls. Everything from the personality of the females to how everything plays out is unrealistic. If a guy was cheating with multiple women, 999 times out of 1000, one of the girls won't randomly kill him while the other girl cuts off his head and keeps it for herself while on a boat. Back to the females, all of them have the brains of a fucking cow. "Maybe if I sleep with the guy who only wants to have sex, he'll be loyal to my best friend." Every single one of the girls follows this type of retarded logic. None of it is realistic in the slightest aside from Makoto being your typical high school douche.
Overwhelming Tactician If it's one of the worst possible outcomes then it's not very realistic. If this is one of the worst possible outcomes then a guy from your standard ecchi anime like to love ru or any shounen anime would be the best possible outcome. If that's the case, then any harem anime is also realistic which we both know isn't. It isn't realistic in the slightest.
What? Are you dumb? In what world does a nerdy guy with no social skills get to bone the whole school? In what world are teenagers this explicitly sexual yet their parents and teachers remain unaware? In what world do a bunch of girls want to bone a socially awkward guy because they heard he's had sex a few times? In what world does a girl not get bullied into quitting school after news of her having sex with some guy from the same school? In what world does a girl murder a guy, behead him, take it on a boat, and doesn't get caught? WTF is realistic about this anime?
MoonStar Im not saying the overall plot is realistic its how the guy handles the situations a bunch of girls wanna bone.. he accepts and he's obviously not that nerdy because he can throw down pretty well and for it he got what was coming to him
School Days and Shuffle were the only realistic and darkest harem animes to ever exist, both animes starts like a typical cliche romance anime but later everything just went horribly wrong.
@@crazy_pink_haired_bitch After to read your comment I started to watch Shuffle because I thought it was like School days, for 9 episodes I've seen it and it remains the usual boring harem, do you know in which episode the dark part starts? like epidose 5-6 in School Days
I just watched School Days, and I thought it was somewhat brilliant. It takes a different direction compared to the stereotypical harem anime. The animation is moderately good, and I felt the whole plot was done well for what it was. As for the ending, I felt that it was properly foreshadowed, and it teaches you how easily things can go wrong when you mess with the emotions of others and not responsibly handle it. Was Makoto a terrible person? My answer is yes. Did Makoto deserve what he got in the end? My answer is no. It is definitely subjective, depending on your point of view with relationships, which is why the ending is so great. It makes think about ethics, which I believe is good for the every day Otaku. This is all of course, my opinion.
Ulquiorra Cifer Honestly your viewpoint almost mirrors mine. I believe he was a good guy but just made a lot of bad decisions like never telling kotonoha that he went to break up with her. Its human nature to want to prolong bad decisions and think about yourself but when it came down to it when he realized how much damage he did that girl he regret it and finally decided to man up and take care of her. And take care of all the loose ends. And then he was killed. Sigh...
Seriously, it baffles me how everyone hates this. It's almost like the anime gets all this hate for not being as "jolly" and "tongue in cheek" as others and instead being something much more cruel and dense. Sorry otakus for ruinning your escapism, geez...
Completley agree. And non gifted individuals cant even see this... They think Makoto deserved what happend.. But its well established that he regretted himself and wanted to do good again, but he never got the chance to! Is that Fair? To deny someone the chance of doing good again? No. Thats why he didnt deserve it and thats what makes the ending so good. It truely changes you from hateing him to feeling bad for and crying for him when he gets killed.. and that is enforced when you get the satisfaction of sekai getting killed and his original GF on the boat with his head... It is very reinforced with that and that ending is just brilliant overall, never seen before in any other anime.
School Days is like Boku No Pico in a way. They are terrible. By all accounts you should not want to watch them. Yet it is almost like a rite of passage for anime fans to actually submit yourself to the pure terribleness and then speak of them like you just came back from the war.
TH-cam, All I want to do is watch a video, stop making me update. I dont want to watch it to the point that I want to watch it.....so weird but true xd
Yeah but so is Bart Simpson. Also like Bart Simpson, Pico is not even 11. You really shouldn't be imagining them ..."eating your shorts" for lack of a better term.
Core Brute No. They totally can do that. Why? Because those characters are fictional. They aren't real so who the fuck cares if they want to fantasise about them? Not like they are harming anyone doing that.
I have not watched it and i don't plan to well because i don't like harems but every thing ive heard about this show is just awful except the part where the Douche bag gets stabbed i can only hope she gets away with that murder.
@@aoex I watched it and I liked the ending it was the satisfying ending I could get in my whole life watching every episode felt like killing some one so much hate and Last episode yes because of this any many other my image towards shoujo or romance is degenerated
Bruh, I was literally like just break up with her! Of he would have just broken up with her, he could have avoided so much. Yeah kotonoha would have gotten her heart broken but maybe she wouldn't have went crazy 🤔
Intentional or not, I've close to always have seen "School Days" as a deconstruction (if that's even the right term to use) of sorts to the harem genre, at least the anime adaptation anyway. Like what could happen if someone actually tried to go around screwing most of the members of the opposite sex they knew while not thinking of the consequences. Heck, you could probably find stories online of actual relationships like that which have ended just as bad, if not worse, than how the anime ended. Besides, I've never found "School Days" to even be all that bad. It's definitely no star, but it ain't a pile of complete and utter suffering either. But the pretentious among us sure do love to act like it's literally one of the worst things to ever be made.
I've never understood that either. I sometimes wonder how many of the people saying School Days is the worst anime ever have watched it themselves. I would also assume anyone making the claim, having watched it, that it's the worst anime ever hasn't seen truly shitty anime before.
I know right? I watched this Anime before I went into the Anime community and always held it as a rather good anime, as I wasn't biased. And I have yet to see a real reason, why this show was supposedly that bad. Sure, the side charakters (all the bitches who sleep with Makoto later on) are unrealistic (Probability of that many girls having no standarts ~ 0%), but just saying because some side charakters are bad, the anime is, well, then I know thousands of beloved animes who are utter thrash. Apart from that, most actions of all charakters are understandable and the journey through the anime is quite interesting to watch. (Especially looking at Katsura). Im still looking for a review that actually explains why this show is supposed to be that bad, as all reviews I find are nitpicking situations out of context, leaving charakter development behind. Even Arkadas review of School days to be honest, is real garbage. (It was one of his first reviews after all, and one of the few I gotta say are bad. (Props to Arkada there btw, he really improved over the years and is now the only Anime "reviewer" I personally can recommend. I put reviewer in " ", because I dont count someone like the Anime Man as a reviewer at all.) And looking at Casuals who have seen this anime, they seem to think similiar. I know many reviews of people, who have only seen a few, who said it was a good anime. And most of the bad rating reviews are from people, who are at least biased through the community. It's kinda like Sword art online, a quite above average Anime who has decent to very good ratings everywhere outside the Elitist anime community. (8.87/10 (17769 Votes) (and there are still votes from elitists who give it 1-2/10, just to get the rating down, which you cannot really give any reasoning for)) (That said, I am not quite a SAO fan myself, however, you cannot really claim, that basically 9/10 in 20k votes with negative bias in it is a bad anime.)
Someone Unknown To be honest School Days is that anime made to piss you off. And it works. But at the same time its an anime taking itself seriously. Which is grating. I have forced myself to sit through the anime with an unbiased opinion. There was a review with 3 different perspectives of watching school days on it and I tried to be the unbiased perspective seeing it from the realistic side. After having seen it, I was left with a bunch of things to question. This series is terrible for me due to the lack of any actual empathy and intelligence in any of the characters. By the time the intelligence springs in its already too late and the series becomes hilarious in a dark sense. So I enjoy it for the dark humor but oh my god did I have to punch a wall a few times due to the choices of the characters and their obliviousness (yes I know this is intentional). I know most people are irrational but not everyone is stupid. People have bad days, people have off days, people have these moments where things happen and you say stupid shit. I could relate to that. BUT COME ON IN ALMOST EVERY EPISODE?! And every character?! (Kotonoha is not an exception either as much as she is the saving grace). Setsuna was a good example of tunnel vision (Dump Kotonoha and date Sekai already), Kotonoha is an example of being too timid for your own good (she pretty much breaks and doesn't reach out for help beyond her boyfriend), Sekai is an example of flip flopping attitide (gets Kotonoha and makoto together but then dates makoto), Makoto is the definition of dense instead of gullible (how the fuck could you not notice ulterior motives), this series is nothing more than characters with terrible flaws that can bite back at them interacting. And it does it great. The series does what it is intended...to piss you off. To pretty much exaggerate a bad ending and get rid of any of the intelligence that the characters actually show in the visual novels. School days does what it wants but the animation is pretty bad even for that time, the dialogue is jarring at points and the characters are really the only good points. And that is saying a lot. Now as for SAO. I am in the camp of it being mostly terrible (GGO and Mother's Rosario Best Arcs due to the girls) and Kirito not really showing anything noteworthy relatable. (thank god everything turns on its head in alicization). But I still enjoy watching it and reading it. In summary school days did what it wanted to if it was to exaggerate the deconstruction of a harem. And it is not the worst anime to date. But Fire Emblem Fates did that better in the backstory of its Nohr characters. School Days in my book is it the worst anime. It is one of the most JARRING THINGS TO WATCH THOUGH..
When my boyfriend and I first started dating, he asked me what my favorite anime was. Instead of telling him the truth (Kodomo no Omocha), I told him to watch School Days. I told him it was a cute romantic comedy. Two days later, he called me, screaming. Just screaming. Icouldn't tell what he was saying, but I knew immediately that he had finished the series. He wasn't happy with me, but he didn't leave me, so that tells me that he's a keeper. We've been together 3 years now.
Never understood why everyone hates school days. When I was told to watch it I was warned about how shitty it was. Watched t and enjoyed. I liked the concept but no I get to understand why everyone hates it. I will definitely be enjoying this video.... watched this like 5yrs ago btw
The characters' motivations are bad, they're stupid and none of them stay sane until the end of the story, but what makes it bad is that it fails to develop a story from the usual motif.
It was my first, too. And, I must say, after watching "tons" of anime shows or films, I can't say School Days is the worst. I'm not sure if I cannot say this because it is a symbolic show to me, but it had some moments, you know.
My first was, as many... pokémon when i was like 6 or something. But the first anime i actually watched fully and followed is shingeki no kyojin/Attack on titan.
I can't understand why people think a show is bad because it has unlikable characters. To me that was the whole point of School Days. A story of a guy getting more and more corrupt until facing the consequences of his actions at the end. Sure you could argue that the actions of the characters can be a bit unrealistic at times to advance the plot a certain way but overall I think the series succeeds in telling the story it wanted to tell and the moral message that it's ending tells you.
Sande Sande so you mean its fuckd up right? yep thats what we all are saying seriously the moral message of that anime is 'too many waifu fucks up your lifu' nothing else
FistCharger I think that you should work on unpacking this more. There are a lot of elements to appreciate from School Days that people just don't pick up on. This is because anime fans are largely egocentric and need a character to identify with. The characters all could have existed in the world. I'd give the series a 5-6/10. But I can see some effort was put into the series, and I can still appreciate what they were trying to do.
Kelhoffer Trey I would say that they wanted to portray a deep message but messed up in the process ...it couldve been really better but they messed it up.
Sande because all of them are boring, and flat. people can easily adore villains even if they can be the scum of the earth, as long as they are interesting. none of the chars here have redeemable qualities. they're all idiots, scumbags for the sake of it, and have no life to them that make the chemistry interesting to follow through or believe. i think people kinda rste too highly just because the premise is different. points for that, but execution was horrible.
I first watched School Days as a clip of the ending on youtube. Just from the text and onwards. That really set me up with some expectations that were interesting when skimming through the rest of the series. For instance, it allowed me to look at it not as a harem story, but as a forensic investigations of a train wreck.
Prior knowledge (and generally not liking the harem genre) helped me a lot when I watched it as well. The result then was me thinking "that wasn't good, but at least it was interestingly different". Kind of like I think about NGE too, which - at least for me - also kind of sits between two chairs of not knowing whether it wants to be a proper subversion/deconstruction, classic superrobot show, or just esoteric bulls*. There is definitely a lot of sub-par art and I fast forwarded through quite a bit of it though. Besides needing a bigger art budget the show should probably also only have been half the length, getting rid of the most stupid minor plot lines. Then maybe, just maybe it might have managed to become anything close to the genres Madoka. Uhhh, also please don't crucify me for mentioning both NGE and Madoka in a post about School Days...
pack.wolf for the record, School Days was originally an Eroge, aka erotic visual novel for those that are unaware. But it's not just ANY visual novel. It's a fully animated visual novel. plays like a movie continuously and the choices you make need to be made on the spot in a time frame for the branches and such. So all they really did for the anime was take the Novels animations and add some touches. This could be seen as staying true to the art of the original material I guess for some, but that's up to you to decide in the end.
Lol. I actually did enjoy watching School Days for all the reasons you gave in the video. I dunno if going in blind was "secret sauce" for its enjoyment, but I'm sure Ida been ticked if I got the heavy foreshadowing or straight up spoilers before seeing it.
I think a good comparison for School Days is the Shakespearean Tragedy (like Romeo and Juliet, or Macbeth), both start off with a seemingly normal protagonist, but slowly devolve as that character begins to continue to make mistakes, and ends with everything gone completely wrong and the protagonist eventually getting what he deserved. Shakespearean Tragedies are one of the most famous writings of fiction there is, so why does School Days get a bad rep for trying to do the same thing?
Wanna me be honest? cause people are dicks and can't appreciate it by what it is. It's not like an animated series can be fully detailed about the inner thoughts of the characters to make it better (especially animes, because each episode has only 20 minutes, and HELL, School Days had ONLY 12 eps to deal with all the things it's tried to adapt).. So to me it's great anime overall, considering the message it has tried to pass on.
@@johngulster7787 going into great detail wouldn't be productive in a comment, so to put it briefly the series does very little to get audience invested in any of the major characters.
ARKADA you did it! you stepped it up, you finally took your videos to the next level (it's not like you're ever gonna read this or anything, but whatever)
You made me laugh a lot in this video. But I need to confess, that I really liked the show. It was one of my first anime and together with Elfen Lied it really let me feel more like a grown up. Both, Elfen Lied and School Days were, from today's perspective, not good. But as a child it did not let me out of it's grip (if thats correct english). And the ending song thrilled me to the core :P
Konamalunu nice touch on the ending song, love it. Most anime reviewers hate on school days because they dont understand how artistic statements work. School days is honestly not bad at all.
I guess it depends on the observer, as always. But I am 20 years old now and while School Days has like before some place in my heart, I must accept, that there are a lot more animes out there, that have a much better story.
I actually enjoyed school days, gave me a roller coaster of emotions. I think people hate ir for the wrong reasons. Im brazilian and my country is quite famous for our crap soup operas (not so crap as mexicans but still...) and corruption. I remenber an interview with an actor about how he was hated on the streets for the villain he plays, he told he was proud that his acting convinced so many people and all the hate he got was a show that he did his job well. I think the same of school days, it did a good job on making us hate like a proper villain would. I also enjoyed the protagonist, he was a typical timid boy who loved a timid cute girl like so many series out there. I like how he transformed into a monster, a monster that everyone hates. What this anime showed in my opinion was a deep philosofical message, the corruption of the human being, how he took the oportunity the betray his friends for his own gain. I love to study corruption, what makes people sell their souls, and this anime really nailed it.
It just shows why you shouldn't think with your genitals, but it's true that going from "good" to "bad" isn't a light switch. It's a journey, and for that I would suggest something like Breaking Bad, which perfectly portrays how somebody can transform from a well-meaning person into outright villain and it's so blurry it's hard to make out when the border was crossed.
What I would consider worst anime ever would probably be either Future Diary or Big Order. Or Pokémon, since I hate practically everything about that franchise.
Okay, then. Here's a list of anime I consider the worst ever: (Keep in mind, this is _my_ list, so don't think I left anything out if _your_ worst anime isn't on here) Mars of Destruction Mad Bull 34 Jungle de Ikou Garzey's Wing One Piece (4Kids! Version) Dragon Ball GT Pokémon (the main series, not Origins or Generations) Diabolik Lovers Eiken Guilty Crown DearS Chaos;Head pupa Chaos Dragon Samurai Gun My Bride is a Mermaid We Without Wings Mayoiga Big Order
Glad to see this got a second look from GR. Not going to lie, I watched School Days early on in my anime repertoire and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt so different from other Harems I had seen at the time: the main character plowed every girl he possibly could, I laughed a lot over the ridiculous situations of girls throwing themselves at him for bat-shit crazy reasons, and I had no clue about the ending so it really took me by surprise. Honestly I found it rather refreshing at the time, and thought it was more realistic of how a real guy would respond rather than most Harem MCs being practically afraid of women. Looking back now after seeing hundreds of series, was it a great show? No, no it was not. However, I don't think it was bad either, and I still look back on it with good memories overall. Say what you will about the premise and execution, but I think we can all agree that there were at least a few kernels of goodness left over in that shit-storm.
Me too man, I'm on the same boat. I mean, it must have been some good 8-9 years I've watched it by now (and I started watching animes around 2013), and I still come back to it whenever I feel like... lol.. And it's such a rich universe imo, full of alternative paths, if u think about all the materials this series has (like, Cross Days, Shiny Days, the manga...), and also opens rooms for several "what ifs", especially considering most of the endings are unfinished in the Visual Novel... to me it's a great anime/"romance" material overall.
I'd like to say that School Days has a very unique and special place in my heart. In all of my life time I've seen a lot of half seasoned anime that had a mixed impact on me. Some were good, some were meh. Some stuck in your head for a very long time after watching and some only were entertaining while watching. First I thought of SD as the usual Highschool Anime with nothing special. Then we got the picture of the typical harem anime - wow, have'nt watched that in a looong time. But then the last episodes kicked in with an 180° flip and I really enjoyed it (except the 'partsi' part, cause I'm a baby and dont't like seperate or wide opened bodyparts). Because there are many harem anime in the world with nothing special, this is, for me, an unique try do deal with it - as you said. Worth watching? If you have watched several anime with the concept of the standard 'harem protagonist powers', go for it. (Heck, I've even bought the game because I like SD and I'd got told it has "multiple" ends - in one way or another. Some normal and.. well.. some 'other' ones.)
DeEpicAnimeFan nah... both are really bad in my opinion... go watch some Akame ga kill or Zero no Tsukaima or heck even Sao cause if you might like it it isnt that bad at all
You should watch it for a two reasons: 1. No anime will ever be as bad as school days, so every anime you watch afterwards will be infinitely better. 2. Learn not what to do with relationships. Don't cheat, don't home wreck, don't manipulate, set your boundaries.
yes. Makoto has the personality of a wet towel. It's Sekai who purposefully pushes him in the wrong direction, lying about everything, showing no regret. Makoto is just her little toy. Not that Makoto is not to blame. At any point he could have said 'no'. Then again, Makoto isn't evil, but Sekai is. If anything, Makoto being so such a whimpy pushover might be the reason she started it all with him in particular.
No. Sekai at least wanted Makoto to dump Kotonoha instead of continuously deceiving her. Makoto insisted on pretending to be her boyfriend while making it obvious he didn't give a shit about her anymore, which drove Kotonoha insane, and is also the one that slept with every girl in the dang school.
If he had just arranged friends with benefits or an open relationship, taken his time and just stayed in the dating phase then ended things when he realized they weren't working rather than deciding early on to be "lovers", spoken up about his doubts and feelings for other girls, or broken up with Kotonoha, all of this could've been avoided. He was also so pushy at times that it could've easily been seen as sexual harassment had they not relented. I think consent, consideration, and communication are the most important takeaways in this case, not monogamy itself. I felt bad for Kotonoha who went out of her comfort zone and tried to be really patient, understanding, dedicated, future-minded, and forgiving only to be treated so horribly. As much as it's a subversion of the harem genre, I think it also inadvertently works as a case study on teen dating and the issues that can come about not teaching effective etiquette, sexual education, boundaries/restraint, and priorities.
I've never seen the visual novel but I have never had a problem with School Days. Yes the ending was out there and honestly insane and the main character is one of the biggest assholes in anime but I like it because it was trying to send a message and it sent it well. Sometimes you never realize how badly your actions can hurt those around you until you've reached a point of no return. Makoto was an awful person but honestly just a simple kid who didn't want to be bound by responsibilities when you get down too it. Even at the end he realized how badly he hurt Kotonoha and he might have made an effort to atone but he wasn't given the chance because he's dug himself too deep. Do I think he deserved it? In a way yes he was clearly completely responsible for his fate but did I want it to happen? Honestly, no. The guy was an idiot but he was also someone who had hit rock bottom and wanted to attempt a change. I wanted better for him because I knew he didn't know any better. He was foolish and selfish and in a way had come to realize that, only he realized it too late. I could go on for hours about this show but at the end of the day I will say in one way or another the show was interesting enough to keep me watching. Not the best anime ever but not an awful one either. Probably not even the worst in my eyes.
I loved this show when I first watched it many years ago, until this day I still remember every character, plot and ending, something I cannot say about others animes. Did the ending traumatized me? Hell yeah! but that's what makes it so different and memorable. I really don't think it deserves the worst anime of all time label that it gets. but hey....that's just my opinion.
Okay as bad as an ending as it is that people die cause it didn't need to escalate that far I'm a little sad katsura didn't get even with every girl and even makatoa friend who sorta raped her or at least took away her virginity because he was supposed in love when really he was just horny ...they all deserve to die...katsura winning was fun.. the poor girl ...the show really fucks with her ..its mean ...she didn't deserve it but if your too naive lied to innocent in semi denial and too forgiving that's what happens
Juan Manuel Penaloza Don't care that its propoganda, its still an enjoyable anime to watch. also it is realistic about the outcome of old style western militaries vs modern day in a battle scenario even with tge fantasy aspect.
Maybe, but not living in Japan I didnt mind it and could enjoy it. I mean how should this work as propganda anyway? First the "Gate" doesnt exist in RL and 2nd China n Co got better amory than the mediaval guys from the fantasy world.
It's a parody of propaganda because it is so much over the top, that you can't take it seriously anymore. Every time the propaganda came up it made me laugh rly hard, because it is just so obvious. +The JSDF needs recruits anyway, and there is nothing wrong with joining, so I don't mind it at all
We need more bible readings on this channel, pretty please. The more Haruhiism there is in this world the better. Also I will be praying to "The Itsuki, The Mikuru and The Holy Yuki" as well as Haruhi from now on.
I trust you whatever you say so even if I just read the title, and don't have time to watch the video, I will definitively plan to watch school days in the very next days! Thank you, I'm sure I will enjoy it as I always did with yours previous suggestion!
Before everyone started saying School Days was the worst anime ever, I'd already watched it and gave it a 9/10... still stand by that, it's a well-paced deconstruction of the highschool harem genre. I've always seen it as a sort of experiment in the medium, not necessarily something intended to convey a particular message. Hence the unbelievably generic, tongue-in-cheek title "School Days". I guess it depends on your perception, but to me, even the hammy dialogue in the first half seems intentional, not simply bad. Towards the end of the series a lot of the writing changes rather drastically and gets... well, darker and better. Interesting show, I recommend it, especially now with anime becoming more filled with satire and subversions than ever.
The reason anime fans hate School Days is that it questions their entire world view. You hate what you fear. What makes School Days great - and poignant - is that it changes the standard 3-way Rom Com setup from Infatuation vs True Love (the initial object of affection vs the final one), to that of infatuation as simple ego gratification becoming the focal point for obsession. (Needless to say, True Love goes out the window.) Again, for the story, it's critical that Makato be completely oblivious to the obsessive nature of the girls' attraction to him. In fact, none of the characters have more than a middle-school conception of love, which is, of course, the point. I particularly dislike the simplistic idea that (as another reviewer says) Makato is a "hormone driven asshole who takes advantage of every girl he sets his sights on" when that is, again, exactly wrong. He is passive almost to the extent of being a cipher. He merely follows the path of simple ego gratification from infatuation to being the (lucky?) object of the psychological and sexual obsession of a number of girls. And that's the point. Without any real motivation either good or bad, Makato foregrounds the emptiness that underlies the traditional Rom-Com.
People hate this anime because they are too Stupid to understand it. Thats why, they see Makoto as an asshole and they think he deserved that death... Its fucking heartbreaking to see him die after regretting himself and wanting to do good... And this is re-inforced with the satisfaction of when sekai gets killed. And then how they are in the boat with his head and she hugs it. Like, who the fuck thinks that was a 'satisfying' ending! It was heartbreaking, i cried loads. And thats what made it soo good! Sad stories make for good ones.
Yeah sure. School Days, No probs. BUT REVIEW KUZO NO HONKAI, TRISTAN ....Tristan plzzz :((((((((((((((( Im mean its kinda like School day... somehow... >_>
Jazzglenn dude next time if you're gonna recommend something, stay away from the phrase "it's like school days but..". I do agree though. Tristan get on that.
School Days isn't as bad as so many people make it out to be. The show is one of the most realistic shows to exist in its high school settings. Granted not all people would make Makoto's choices but you can see it and understand it yourself no matter how messed up. It's Definitely in my Top 20
i have the odd feeling that actually makoto is the only person that acts like the average joe would in real life, but i didn't watch the anime so i don't know.
I consider School Days as a Romeo and Juliet and Juriet train-wreck. It is a love story where everything goes wrong and the real epic tragedy is in the last episode where it all ends brutal and shocking. And that is the good part of the series, if you look at the original Visual Novel and watch those interactive animation scenes especially the bad endings, you get a new appreciation for the series overall.
school days is the greatest anime! the ending completes it! well, if it were just a love triangle, it would have been a lot better. It would have a more coherent narrative.
I just watched the series today, and I love it and hate Sekai for the end... Basically... Makoto finally realised what had done and asked for kotonoha's forgiveness and guess what they were together! I definitely know that kiss in front of Sekai was what pushed over the edge though, and was uncalled for on kotonoha and Makoto's part....
I watched this anime early on in my anime career and to me it is still one of the best animes i have ever watched in my life. I always felt like it was an incredibly realistic anime that acted as an amazing warning against toxic and abusive relationships
*I highly recommend you watch School Days.* I loved School Days (not so much the ending) and I hated this channel for giving it a poor and no nonsensical review. This video does not excuse Glass Reflection from the past review. School Days is part of my guilt pleasure anime list *not because it's bad, it just goes against my values* , dus I agree with some of the flaws of the show. This deconstruction of the high school drama series was well done. This anime shows us many lessons on how NOT to have a relationship. Furthermore I don't necessary blame Overflow for the ending, it's hard to finish and anime like this. Again, I highly recommend you watch this anime at least once, as I said it is a guilt pleasure. But the feeling suspense of hate, happiness, then hate again is just to good to pass over.
Your look at the positives of School Days is EXACTLY why it is a GOOD show for some of us. I'm highlighting "good" here, not "great". I am thoroughly sick of Harem anime going the usual tropes and predictable ending... In MY opinion, this is a MUST watch anime, especially if you are an anime otaku!
School days is the best anime probably of all time. The reason why t is hated is because people HATE the main character and the decisions he makes. The hate is manifested from the character development. How many amines are out there that truly made you feel that way? This anime is the only one that succeeded in that. To me that is.
People who call School Days the worst anime ever haven't watched a lot of anime, especially anime from the 90's. This video did touch on a lot of the reasons I argue people SHOULD watch School Days. If nothing else, I find it to be more believable than most other harems I've seen. You're supposed to hate the main character; that's the storytelling device they went with, and it makes the ending pretty satisfying.
I watched Schooldays many years ago.. I wasn't prepared, I didn't know! It... It changed me.. I cannot go back now.. One could say I have headed on, stepped on the boat of life and sailed on.. And haven't lost my head so far.
Monogamy's the only way to be. You can only love one person at a time otherwise it's not love because you aren't devoting everything about yourself to that one person. Even if they agree to it deep down everyone is hurting and disliking the fact that they aren't your special someone even if they may not outwardly realize that themselves. It's also better to wait to have sex till you realize they're the one and you marry them so that you have the healthiest and holiest relationship possible.
Actual morality that a lot of people still have called, they want people these days to not be so willing to do anything without thinking of the consequences and want people to not be offended that they don't share the same viewpoints as you do. Something's not outdated if it's how it's actually supposed to be. Just because some vocal people and pop culture have changed for the worse doesn't mean all or most people have changed for the worse. Marriage is sacred and sex before being in love and united as one soul isn't true love and is wrong. No one's life is better by not waiting till being married and being in love so there's nothing medieval about it. There's so many problems that have arisen from not being monogamous and by not waiting till after marriage and that is indicative that these values are how people are actually supposed to be and how God wanted us to be.
No no, my friend, you don't get to go there. You're not entitled to tell others how they are supposed to live their lives based on your own religious believes. You live your life according to your believes. Fine. I have nothing against people who are monogamous and wait with sex before marriage. It is their very own right, and if they feel that this is how their relationship will best develop, then by all means this is the correct decision. In fact, I myself would not probably be able to sustain a polygamous relationship. I much prefer monogamy myself. However, you are not to tell others that their feelings are wrong. You are not living their lives, you are not feeling what they do. Polygamy is neither better nor worse than monogamy. It is different. It is based on a high level of emotional maturity; it is embracing love and affection without attachment. A well working polygamous system eliminates jealousy, clinginess, and neediness from a relationship. This is very important to many people. And I know a handful of them who have been working hard and made this work for several decades now. How would it be better for them to be in a monogamous relationship that they do not actually want, than it is now that they are all happy together? Why should they lie to themselves? Because "God?" That is just a silly argument. If we had to follow everything that your supposed God said, we wouldn't even be allowed to use the toilet in our homes. All the things you say that "deep down subconsciously they are hurt" is merely a projection of your own ego, nothing more. You don't know their feelings. You can't. Quit judging others and mind your own business. I think that is an idea that the son of your God was quite a fan of.
I'm not telling anyone how they have to live their lives. I'm making my viewpoint on how they should be known but I'm not telling them they have to follow it. Polygamy is antithetical to what love was created as. It's meant to be about one person (your other) and one person only, to love someone in that way is to mean they you choose them above everyone else because they matter to you more than everyone else. To do it with more than one person isn't true love as they aren't your number one priority and your only partner. This is how people work, we need to know that we are the one who was chosen as being their soulmate not a pick between others. Polygamy is not love, its genuine affection mixed in with confused romantic desire. I can when it goes against what love actually is. I'm not however saying they have to do anything, if they choose to live that way and it makes them happy for some reason they're allowed to do that. Doesn't mean they're better off for it but it's what they've chosen and I do not judge them as people for it nor do I wish them unhappiness. But, it's not something that should be encouraged, nor is it something that should be seen as desirable or equal to actual love because it has unhealthy ramifications for the people involved on a subconscious level. Even the most non minding of people will deep down hold a sliver of resentment that they aren't enough for the other person, that they need to have someone other than them to feel complete. Just because they say they don't mind doesn't mean that on some subconscious level they don't. Love isn't something that can be spread about to multiple people, it's something that focuses on and makes one person your soulmate and your one and only true love. Actual love is between two people and two people only. To deny this is to deny Human nature and the most basic foundations of what love is and what it's about.
"Even the most non minding of people will deep down hold a sliver of resentment that they aren't enough for the other person, that they need to have someone other than them to feel complete" Man, you keep doing this. You have no evidence of this whatsoever. You don't know how other people's emotions work. Stop pretending you do, please.
yoooo It kinda bugs me that some people call school days "the worst anime of all time" when I can think of about 10 other series off hand that are much worse by comparison. It's definitely no shining star in the medium, but this show was pretty much made just to promote the game. Expectations shouldn't be that high for a visual novel adaptation in the first place. (I recommend playing the game if you haven't already tried it.) It's gotten to the point where the only people I've met who really believe this meme are pretty casual anime fans (ie: watch anime only shown on toonami) as opposed to fans of anime who regularly keep up with airing shows, watch subbed, are in the anime club at your community college, etc. I don't mean to generalize, but yeah. Seriously the show isn't fantastic but its a fun watch if you like drama, or can at least keep in mind that you are NOT supposed to like these characters, at least not in the second half of the series.
OK first off, can we all appreciate Arkada doing a comedy bit as he grabs school days? For a while, we've only seen the shot of his background lol. Kudos to you!
So, I only watched the ending of School Days. I never watched the whole thing. So after watching this, I decided to give it a try. I have never been so frustrated with a male protagonist before..I felt bad for Kotonoha until she made out with Makoto in front of Sekai, who may I remind you was possibly pregnant with his child. And you know what? In Shiny Days (I think that's what it was called) he began a relationship with Kotonoha's little sister. How old was she, seven maybe? I was so disgusted when Makoto got on top of her after she assumed sex was just "holding onto your lover". I mean, she was saying no and kept asking what he was doing, and you know what Makoto did? He didn't stop. I fucking hate School Days. It's a disgusting anime. I especially hate Otome and her lackeys and how badly they treated Kotonoha. I wasn't exactly surprised when they were like, "hey let's hook up with Makoto haha sounds like fun".
At first I thought you had found a new spark in your life/work that made you watchable again, but I now know what happened instead. You've been watching Bennet The Sage and you thought, I can do that too. You thought correctly, koi creepy smile achieved.
An invisible gold star will be awarded to the people who can accurately count how many head jokes are in this video.
Glass Reflection Gekkan Shoujo is great I hope you didn't mean anything bad about it because it's really good
oh god, I thought I was done with head jokes after madoka magica
I'll be getting back to Nozaki-kun very soon.....yes.....very soon...
do Why You SHOULD Watch AKAME GA KILL(it has huge flaws too,and is basically mix of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST and SCHOOL DAYS),btw love your videos.
Glass Reflection why would you blow up Nagisa and Ushio you are a bad Canadian man!
I think School Days gets a bad wrap because people only know the series for the worst possible ending.
That's like if the Clannad anime decided to go for the "I'm gay for Sunohara" ending (yes... that's a real ending in the original game) and people labeling the entire series as garbage.
Not that I'm saying the other endings in School Days are any better but... y'know lol.
To be honest I'd kinda like to see that ending XD
Though to be honest, what school days tried to accomplish is being done unspeacably better by Kuzu no Honkai, so in case people are intrested in the principle, they should watch that :)
The Anime Man Hi Joey!
DridyEXE Kuzu no honkai doesn't fucking make any sense to me though, am I missing something or is it suppose to make no sense?
But isn't the ending of School Days the best part?
To me it makes prefect sense tbh. It shows what strong emotions like unrequitted love can do to people and how they try to cope with it.
I love how the comedy on this channel is improving.
Knight Warrior yeah its honestly pretty cool to see the humour grow and develop as time goes by
i just burst out laughing at the haruhi scene~~~
That rollsafe snuck-in inclusion was pretty clever.
Will you do a Rosario Vampire glass reflection? Por favor :-)
Knight Warrior Yeah the small jokes he mixes in always makes me laugh
When Best Goku and Arkada talk bad animu in TH-cam comments.
Theory? HE IS RELATED TO EVERYONE! I seen the family tree! If it's not Makoto's dad then it's his uncle!
But even when you try to steer Makoto towards Kotonoha and ONLY Kotonoha, he still does some very despicable things.
Any of you who watched Masako's playthrough KNOW which scene I'm talking about.
*heavy breathing*
School Days is by far the most *realistic* harem anime in existence. It's the only one where characters behave in a way that reflects reality at all.
None of it is realistic in the slightest aside from Makoto being your typical high school douche.
lildanial1 It is realistic its just going by one of the worst possible outcomes that can happen if you choose to be a d bag
MoonStar Im not saying the overall plot is realistic its how the guy handles the situations a bunch of girls wanna bone.. he accepts and he's obviously not that nerdy because he can throw down pretty well and for it he got what was coming to him
i lost my shit in 1:33 with the I love Emilia
Luis Molina YES YES YES
Same I actually just died.
Wait, how did he add that? It looks like it was part of the actual episode, but I know that it wasn't.
When u put it like that... I think School Days sounds like the most realistic harem show ever...
I agree women sharing one dude behind each others back and bullying each other over it sounds pretty realistic
This is the exact thing i said to my cousin word for word
This anime is a lesson of life for those
School Days and Shuffle were the only realistic and darkest harem animes to ever exist, both animes starts like a typical cliche romance anime but later everything just went horribly wrong.
@@crazy_pink_haired_bitch After to read your comment I started to watch Shuffle because I thought it was like School days, for 9 episodes I've seen it and it remains the usual boring harem, do you know in which episode the dark part starts? like epidose 5-6 in School Days
I suppose he wasn't thinking "a-head" of the situation he put himself in.
He just kept his "head" in the clouds
ill stop now
High five.
Please don't.
I heard he received good "head."
I'll admit it's kinda good.......
But not good enough to make me laugh
That was the best pun yet ooh that’s good.
Agreed.
Diogo Alexandre exactly, that's something animesnob would say
I will watch boku no pico any day of the week over School Days, atlast there i can just imagine girls doing lewd things since Pico is voiced by a girl
Boku no Pico is just a Yaoi Hentai...
It's not even that bad?
school days is intentionally difficult to watch. it's not supposed to be uplifting. it's a deconstruction of VNs and harem anime.
Not a Giraffe keep telling yourself that. it's laughably bad
Not a Giraffe
That's great. It's still shit.
Not a Giraffe deconstruction...seriously now...
Damn Damnielson Uh.. Makoto isn't really.. beta?
I have not watched it and i don't plan to well because i don't like harems but every thing ive heard about this show is just awful except the part where the Douche bag gets stabbed i can only hope she gets away with that murder.
When an anime scars you so bad you have to make several videos and eventually persuade yourself the trama was a positive experience XD love u man
Yes it scarred me alot.....
I’m not gonna lie it slightly traumatized me and it ruined romance anime for me.
Damn this comment made my ptsd from golden age arc from berserk to kick in again
Watching this anime when you're only 10 years old is not a great experience either...
@@aoex I watched it and I liked the ending it was the satisfying ending I could get in my whole life watching every episode felt like killing some one so much hate and Last episode yes because of this any many other my image towards shoujo or romance is degenerated
THATS IT, HE SAID IT! EVERYONE WATCH SCHOOL DAYS NAOOOO
PLEASE DON'T STOP.
Ah Jeanne we will never forget your guilty pleasure confession...
Jean....I can't even trash talk you. You've trash talked yourself
Dont do not do it injoy your life with good anime
Anime Appraisal ha do what u want not what other people say dumb ass
The amount of times I was screaming "WHY DIDNT YOU JUST BREAK UP WITH HER!?!!?" is hard to say
Bruh, I was literally like just break up with her! Of he would have just broken up with her, he could have avoided so much. Yeah kotonoha would have gotten her heart broken but maybe she wouldn't have went crazy 🤔
"having more than one waifu, will ruin your laifu" golden.
i gotta say when i read the title, i was alittle afraid. but now im and quite comfy.
I put reviewer in " ", because I dont count someone like the Anime Man as a reviewer at all.)
And looking at Casuals who have seen this anime, they seem to think similiar.
It is one of the most JARRING THINGS TO WATCH THOUGH..
shadowmaksim Did you know that they are all related, but didn't know it? Makoto's father slept around……a lot.
To be honest, I disagree with many things you said. However, its your opinion and you're entitled to it. just saying. Have a nice day.
Ok…
Never understood why everyone hates school days. When I was told to watch it I was warned about how shitty it was. Watched t and enjoyed. I liked the concept but no I get to understand why everyone hates it. I will definitely be enjoying this video.... watched this like 5yrs ago btw
Flvcko Veli I watched it Last December
The characters' motivations are bad, they're stupid and none of them stay sane until the end of the story, but what makes it bad is that it fails to develop a story from the usual motif.
School Days was my first anime... I'm not even lying x'D
It was my first, too. And, I must say, after watching "tons" of anime shows or films, I can't say School Days is the worst. I'm not sure if I cannot say this because it is a symbolic show to me, but it had some moments, you know.
U really need help
You have been scarred for life my friend
Same ^^
And after that, High school DxD
More like "Cheating on your girlfriend never leads to anything good"
FistCharger I think that you should work on unpacking this more.
Is this real? Am I fucking hallucinating? Tristan are you okay?!
Don't panic. I did a double-take too, but trust me; Tristan hasn't gone mad just yet.
JockKroser Don't worry, he hasn't lost his head yet
JockKroser not yet, he will lose his head when he praises SAO
His ship already sailed, boys.
Now do a "Why You SHOULD Watch Sword Art Online" video, I'd love to see what you'd come up with.
That's easy; so you could enjoy SAO abridged
oh, that's easy. The premise is amazing, the animation is pretty, and Kirito and Asuna are actually in a healthy relationship.
I still haven't watched SAO but intuitively I know it's not worth of the time watching it.
Because it does it poorly.
Cause Shakespeare make more sense logically both in and out of the in story universe.
@@fightingmedialounge519Explain how?
+Affecks Piss off, the show is bad.
Okay Tom, tell me why its bad. I'm waiting. I can tell you a dozen reasons why its good, I still lack a sound argument that its bad.
Agreed.
It really didn't. It has was one of the most surface level understanding of corruption I've seen.
S o u p o p e r a
It just shows why you shouldn't think with your genitals, but it's true that going from "good" to "bad" isn't a light switch. It's a journey, and for that I would suggest something like Breaking Bad, which perfectly portrays how somebody can transform from a well-meaning person into outright villain and it's so blurry it's hard to make out when the border was crossed.
"Having more than one waifu can ruin your laifu" - Oh mai goddu!
YO! glass reflection are you ganna watch the new Samurai Jack?
I would say something like DAMN STRIGHT! But I need to figure out the HOW. Toonami does not air in Canada, a fact I am truely annoyed by.
Glass Reflection that sucks dude, maybe they'll put the episodes on their website. I think Toonami still has a website right? With episodes?
Glass Reflection
just stream it illegally homie.
oh wait you wont little miss moral high ground
jk, thats honestly very admirable
Glass Reflection could you not stream it directly from the adult swim website?
+glass reflection if there is no possible legal way to watch it would you still not watch it? remember americans get paid a decent amount anyway
someone save this man from himself
damn, 2 more seconds and you'll get another ad. Why would you want to waste that.
WHAT TO DO dude your profile picture is perfect for this comment 😂
I unironically love this anime and the way critics lampoon it just makes me enjoy it all the more.
am i the only one who enjoyed schoold days for what it was?
hey arkada, did you know half the characters of school days are actually related to each other?
they are ? and damn that most have been awkward to act out lines
I am aware, I am also aware about Makoto's Father. And what a sick bastard he was.
Why do I know this much? "Know thy enemy" or some such...
good point and what's ur next video gonna be about
Please enlighten me i'm curious.
freekidd please elaborate
Loved the Henery the eighth reference
that was clkearly the best one.
Can we really call School Days the worst anime ever in a world were Big Order and now HandShakers exists?
Szadek23 or AoT
Let's not forget about Tokyo Ghoul season 2.
What I would consider worst anime ever would probably be either Future Diary or Big Order. Or Pokémon, since I hate practically everything about that franchise.
Mirai Nikki can't be a contender since it honors the manga. You have to find something that fails really hard by itself.
Okay, then.
Here's a list of anime I consider the worst ever:
(Keep in mind, this is _my_ list, so don't think I left anything out if _your_ worst anime isn't on here)
Mars of Destruction
Mad Bull 34
Jungle de Ikou
Garzey's Wing
One Piece (4Kids! Version)
Dragon Ball GT
Pokémon (the main series, not Origins or Generations)
Diabolik Lovers
Eiken
Guilty Crown
DearS
Chaos;Head
pupa
Chaos Dragon
Samurai Gun
My Bride is a Mermaid
We Without Wings
Mayoiga
Big Order
If someone asked me about a video that would never be made..... this is the video I would pick.
School days is one of the most memorable and unique anime I've ever watched. All of my emotions was used when watching this.
Unironically
No...just NO
Instead of wasting your time watching School Days,WATCH JOJO OR LEGEND OF THE GALACTIC HEROES
DeEpicAnimeFan nah... both are really bad in my opinion... go watch some Akame ga kill or Zero no Tsukaima or heck even Sao cause if you might like it it isnt that bad at all
omg, another one of these...
LoGH was really good!
But the ending is so very satisfying
Why not both?.
You should watch it for a two reasons:
1. No anime will ever be as bad as school days, so every anime you watch afterwards will be infinitely better.
2. Learn not what to do with relationships. Don't cheat, don't home wreck, don't manipulate, set your boundaries.
1 is not true, because Crystal Triangle exists and is somehow even worse...
i disagree on the first one
im in a minority who actually really enjoyed watching school days
i just finished it. i went into it w/ no idea of what i was getting myself into. i couldn't get enough!
Past Seven Years Arkada : I HAVE TO MAKE SURE NOBODY WATCHES SCHOOL DAYS
Arkada Now : Hold my beer
School days is one of the greatest anime's of all time no matter what anyone says....i also can relate to Makoto he's not so bad
Am I only one, who think that Sekai is 100 times worse than Makoto?
My opinion about her became even worse after i played VN. Heck only if this bitch never existed then we would get shiny days instead of school days.
ShutUpAdachi nah dude, play VN. Sekai created all this mess. Not Makoto.
Dan Guy if it wasn't for Sekai, Makoto would have had a happy life with Kotonoha.
The TMOHS light novel as a bible has me so unbelievably weak
I loved this show when I first watched it many years ago, until this day I still remember every character, plot and ending, something I cannot say about others animes. Did the ending traumatized me? Hell yeah! but that's what makes it so different and memorable. I really don't think it deserves the worst anime of all time label that it gets. but hey....that's just my opinion.
I want to watch it but I heard the ending is bad...So I'm not sure
User name it very depressed
the ending is actually the shows only saving grace
User name Makoto gets killed by Sekai, and Sekai gets killed by Katsura. (Kotonoha) There. I just gave it away for you.
The ending is the best part of the show
I just finished and LOVED school days. ZERO flaws,... it's perfect, but only as a freak show. 10/10 and worth it.
He used and ditched so much that when it caught up to him he got what he had coming to him..... With both fists, throw in a foot for good measure.
I'd like to see a review of GATE...Spoiler: It's propaganda to get people to join the SDF...
Juan Manuel Penaloza id rather jon the sdf then trumps or Trudeau s military
im candian and the military here is a joke and the us army are war hungry idiots
It's a parody of propaganda because it is so much over the top, that you can't take it seriously anymore. Every time the propaganda came up it made me laugh rly hard, because it is just so obvious. +The JSDF needs recruits anyway, and there is nothing wrong with joining, so I don't mind it at all
WEE WOO WEE WOO
Sir, do you know how many memes you were over the video limit?
I'm going to need to see your Meme License and Registration.
BUT REVIEW KUZO NO HONKAI, TRISTAN ....Tristan plzzz :(((((((((((((((
Im mean its kinda like School day... somehow... >_>
Why on Haruhi's blessed earth would I want to watch a show that can be described as "Like School Days but..."?
Glass Reflection have to agree with you on that (shutters from horrible flashback)
Nah boi kuzu no honkai is amazing, like wow. The pacing, cliffhangers, characters MMMM MANEFIQUE
Jazzglenn how dare you compare that great show to school days ;v;
Jazzglenn dude next time if you're gonna recommend something, stay away from the phrase "it's like school days but..". I do agree though. Tristan get on that.
Glass Reflection HUGE TRACKS OF LAND Is that a Spamalot reference
Or Holy Grail
John Smith finally another fan of the series
Besuto animu evaa
Actual teenage romances are hardly coherent narratives.
Random Shiroe cape... Huh... Man I hope season three actually comes about. Log Horizon I mean, not School Days.
This is a good idea for a series. why you should watch boku no pico next pls
Arkada isn't a bodybuilder, he is a neckbuilder.
"Picture your favourite anime"
What if my favourite anime is School Days
I liked school days
Me too, it was pretty dank the whole way through. The animation and soundtrack is mediocre at best but the story and the pacing is damn good.
The only reason I have to like it it's because of it's ending, honestly. It's SO satisfying.
MagicMelodyTM Could of been better.
dude, after the 2 year hiatus I had from your channel, this is like, one of your best videos I've seen
The use of memes throughout were quite luxurious.
"Can't have a headache if you don't have a head" Loving it.
weird it's not April fools
IT IS IN SOME ALTERNATE TIMELINE OR SOMETHING. YEAH. *Shifty eyes*
Umm... April is *next* month...
Ah..Having Arima as your DP, you would know..
I honestly did not think about that as I mad that comment
It's doubly ironic since April is shigatsu which can also be read as "death month" in Japanese ouo
OH MY GOODNESS!!! Also would May be said as gogatsu?
Yep >uo)b Rest assured that I take legit Japanese lessons at school and am not giving you false info lol
Yo Arkada you drunk?
DAMN I WISH
School days, summer days, cross days, shiny days.
Hey guys, I liked school days
Did you like seeing a girl getting raped ..cause katsura was raped ..yeah fuck this show ..by episode 7 its awful
I watched Schooldays many years ago.. I wasn't prepared, I didn't know! It... It changed me.. I cannot go back now.. One could say I have headed on, stepped on the boat of life and sailed on.. And haven't lost my head so far.
Honestly, this video made my day so much better - and it was not bad to beginn with :D

Such meme, woaw
Monogamy's the only way to be. You can only love one person at a time otherwise it's not love because you aren't devoting everything about yourself to that one person. Even if they agree to it deep down everyone is hurting and disliking the fact that they aren't your special someone even if they may not outwardly realize that themselves. It's also better to wait to have sex till you realize they're the one and you marry them so that you have the healthiest and holiest relationship possible.
The Medieval Ages called. They want their values back.
You're not entitled to tell
others how they are supposed to live their lives based on your own
religious believes.
"Even the most non minding of people will deep down hold a sliver of
resentment that they aren't enough for the other person, that they need
to have someone other than them to feel complete"
Man, you keep doing this. You have no evidence of this whatsoever. You don't know how other people's emotions work. Stop pretending you do, please.
How can I think School Days is a bad anime when there's series like Attack on Titan, Mirai Nikki, Eiken, or Moetan around?
Cecelia IsAWeeb mirai nikki isn't bad
Cecelia IsAWeeb how is attack on titan bad
Grey W Ikr. AoT is far from bad.
Mirrai nikki despite havibg its flwas is 15 times better than this piece of crap
yoooo It kinda bugs me that some people call school days "the worst anime of all time" when I can think of about 10 other series off hand that are much worse by comparison.
Yo that transition at around 9 mins was smooth as fuck
OK first off, can we all appreciate Arkada doing a comedy bit as he grabs school days? For a while, we've only seen the shot of his background lol. Kudos to you!
This video had me rolling on the floor for 99% of it, well done Arkada, this is why you’re my favourite Ani-Tuber
Oooh, oooh, do Masters of Martial Hearts next!
It definitely has its good points, a video on it would be quite the worthwhile.
Dude your jokes and skits were really good this episode!
I can see your editing skills have improved
Is it bad that School Days has became my Valentine's anime. Every Valentine's I binge watch the whole show or just the last 6 episodes.
U still do
OMG! Your face at 14:19 is awesome! Best illustration for "pervert at anticipation" type EVAR!
At first I thought you had found a new spark in your life/work that made you watchable again, but I now know what happened instead. You've been watching Bennet The Sage and you thought, I can do that too.
You thought correctly, koi creepy smile achieved.
School Days is one of my favorite anime, if not my absolute favorite.
